doing a quest = skip 1
getting # of deco for quest reward = # amount of skip too.

example.
your list is as follow for the next few ritual.
A
B
C
D
E
F
...

Then you do 1 quest and you got 3 deco at the reward.
You'll skip 4 times.
Making your next ritual immediately after the quest:
E
F
...

The only thing I kinda stumble upon and have yet fully test out is, if i switch to a lower tier ritual (tier 2) and only put enough pt for 1 deco instead of 3. somehow if i go back to the tier 3 ritual on the next ritual, it act as the the previous ritual (the 1 deco but tier 2) counted 3 decos skipped.

But I'm kinda positive that each tier ritual has its own set of deco. they're are linked in sequence of other tiers tho.

Reminds me of the ruststone polishing in the old mh games lol. atleast in ps2 and psp. dont rember but think in wii they start to auto polish ruststone at the reward screen as a way to deter save scumming lol.

anyway to add to the deco skipping. like if you already planned your deco table out for atleast 50+, i guess the fastest way to skip is if they bring back that event where you get deco as rewards. its a quick way to skip alot of the deco sequence.

now if you want to skip only 1, il recommend you do like a easy low rank quest since if i recall, low rank quest dont reward decos at all. this way its a for sure 1 skip instead of more.
another note is that in the old mh, if i recall, only large monster quest skips the ruststone polishing. no hand in exploration ticket or mushroom delivery quest. not sure if its the same condition here or not.
Decos obtained from quests do not forward the Melder table - on my end anyway.

Gathering quests work perfectly fine, I use the 4 fossil one. Takes about 35~60sec depending on your gathering RNG (geez lol).

Playing with others I think. This isn't bragging but single player is just so much easier, things break, monsters constantly flinch and you just need to be always on your toes against harder foes. The tougher enemies such as Diablos I am so very familiar with from fighting since MH2 days. Anjanath is like a friendly Deviljho. As soon as I started playing with others though things change. Friends screaming into the mic as they get set on fire and launched into a poison pit. An ally bow user's rocks trigger rains onto me and the paratoad beside me, less familiar friends get one shot etc.

By myself I definitely failed missions by accidentally killing on capture quests and certainly again on 1 cart investigations the most common one for me being Kirin I think.
It really isn't bragging. The only time I had it easier in multiplayer was with some era folks like BrokeAstronaut sleep bombing the shit out of Elder Dragons. Otherwise people carting left and right and cutting tails becomes almost impossible because randoms don't give a fuck most of the time.
The arena quest with the two Diablos is the most horrendous fucking shit ever, holy shit, who thought it was a good idea!?
I feel you. Just pick the gunlance. you can block every single attack and just wait for them to kill each other.

I feel like it swings both ways though. Sometimes more people make it harder other times each individual person is geared and prepared enough that it trivialises the whole thing.

God, so annoying not getting Horns from Black Diablos when you destroy them in the fight.

Edit: Lol, apparently the trick is to go in and break the horns asap and then leave the quest. Got 1 in 5 minutes.

Oh no. I need a bunch of majestic horns to make the diablos set and hammer.

Just do the HR Arena Optional Mission. Enter, break both horns (only takes a minute or two with Wyvernblast), Return from Mission (don't abandon). I just got the 4 Black Spiral Horns and 4 Majestic Horns I needed (from regular and black Diablos, respectively) in about 30 minutes doing it that way. Much better than burning Investigations.

take the lance and turtle in a corner until one dia killed a blos.

Urgh, thanks, I'll try that.

Arena Azure Rathalos is way tougher than the Double Blos Arena Quest imo

I chose the bow to do this one and it was the worst idea ever. The fight last 45 mn.
... but that's because I didn't know how to use the bow properly lol.

I like how when you first start the game you have the Commander, and he seems like the big old burly tough boss of the fleet, but then later when you reach high rank you meet the Admiral, the even bigger burlier boss who makes the Comander looks scrawny whenever they're together.

My wish for some eventual G Rank expansion is a story where the Admiral's boss shows up, maybe the "Guildmaster" or something, and he's some behemoth of a man who dwarfs the both of them.

I have my fingers crossed that the next update we get (didn't have one last week) will be larger in size and offer more significant improvements than just bug fixes.

So I have a bit of the problem here...

I have a US PSN account and then I moved to Japan. The MHW copy I bought was of Japanese region but comes with all other language localization.
I ended up playing MHW on a Japanese disc, in English, with US PSN account, on a PS4 I bought in Japan.

My problem came up when I try to download the free dlcs.
I can download them when access directly from PS Store outside the game. but I can't see the downloaded dlcs in game.
I can try to access the store via MHW title menu, but it would just say the store is not ready.
Seems like the region of the MHW store is bounded to disc instead of to the account and it's stupid.
Does this even happen to other games when being played on a disc from another region?

TBH I wouldn't careless about the prancing and sumo emotes, I just don't wanna miss Deviljho....
Make a Japanese PSN and download the free DLC from there. Set the account as primary on your PS4 and the DLC will be shared w/ any account.

Yeah the balance is a bit off for sure.

Also they'll go into a turf war before everything else every single time. The boulder is right over both of their faces while they are at it. ;)
Just hurry before the lever disappears.
Oh and the gunlance has sleep element and you got an apothecary mantle. the stake hits like 8 times.
I dealt 700 damage with wyvern blast to a sleeping blos once for some reason.

That dude was the admiral? Huh... (I didn't pay any attention whatsoever lol)
I totally agree.

I just built my workshop longsword tonight and it's pretty incredible. Unfortunately it needs five points of handicraft.
Why? I'd rather have a bit of speed sharpening and the usual crit/crit boost build.

Using the gunlance at the moment in the double Diablos quest, and I can't believe it's that easy.
Should have thought about it earlier instead of getting frustrated lmao

The 5 points in guard make it a cakewalk. the only time I fuck it up is by being too impatient. If you want to make the fight even faster just follow the advice above. ;)

Software developement is time consuming. so bug fixes have to be done quick, but improvements in the long run should take more time (and don't forget the certification process by sony and microsoft ... ). I have my fingers crossed too, but they shouldn't rush anything ... I played for over 230h in 4 weeks ... that's more than I was at work O_o ... it also was more fun. What I try to say is ... be patient :)

I remember seeing this giant fellow with a huge katana that I assume is the guild master in the MH 10th Anniversary video that showed monsters and their sizes. If you around YouTube you can probably find it.

Kind of weird as I have a JPN PS4, playing the Chinese Disc (has many different languages unlike the JPN disc here locally for some reason), and a US PSN account. I downloaded just fine, except I had to use a SEN PSN account to get the preorder DLC.

Free DLC on US PSN store I downloaded just fine.

**

But yea like any other PSN thing, if the console has an account with the DLC it should work on any account.

How do you get a higher research level for Xeno if you can't fight him again lol!?
SOS flare search for Assignments or Optionals, Xeno is bountiful in both almost all the time. No need to wait for your own temporary optional quest to pop.

If you filter for 9 star assignments for example, then Xeno is all you get.

Need Switch Axe help: Not sure which HR Switch Axe to craft.
I already got the (Nergigante Rank 8) Dying Light, and it seems to be one of the best raw power wise, and I got universally good results with it, not even just against dragons but any monster.
I really don't like the look of the Diablos' axes, but they seem to be the only ones which have stronger raw damage. The Xeno Martshu seems to be... not so good.
Are the Bazel Raider Axes (Blast) worth looking into?

Or is it time to put some of my materials into a Sword & Shield build for endgame?

Maybe it's because of his introduction, and Bato's performance as him, but I was shocked when he didn't double cross me towards the end.

Diablos Switch Axe is certainly the best if you get an elementless jewel...

Is it really necessary to keep playing after beating the story? I wanna play the future dlcs but i have no interest in beating tempered monsters just to upgrade my armour, will i need it for the dlcs?

If you don't have fun, then don't play. It's simple as that.

If you "need" augmented armor for dlc? how should anybody, who's not working at capcom (like probably everyone here), know that? The first dlc has Deviljho ... He is probably a High Rank only Monster and your defense should be as high as possible. After that ... nobody knows.

or as Vuze said ... there are people out there who fight without armor ...

This is so stupid, Tempered Kirin is the most actually unfair thing in this game. XenoJiiva is big and shitty but Kirin is a whole nother level of goddamn garbage. And it's a fucking gatekeeper. I think this may be where I quit. Nothing should take half your life every single attack when you can never actually hit the motherfucker and on the offchance you get one swing in, the likelihood of it just bouncing off(Because lightning fucking does that I guess despite not being a solid matter) from him being enraged is way too high.

The hurtbox for his horn is egregiously tiny. This is hours of nothing but migraines and never hitting the goddamn horse

Thunder mantel + bow. And play solo.
I was so fucking angry at this quest for the longest time becasue I wanted it to go quickly and fired a SOS flare everytime, and everytime ended up failing. Because I fucked up or someone fucked up, wich is easy with this OKO motherfucker.

And then I tried it solo, and it's much more manageable.

Yeah, I refuse playing online for stuff I know would be a nightmare. My lucks been terrible and everytime ive actually ended up really needing the thunder mantle it's still recharging.

Longsword for the most part, after trying chargeblade once. I've used bow for every other Kirin fight, but this one just attacks so much that the attack animation lasts too long to actually dodge his shit.
Longsword is perfect for it though. Just get the two triangle hits in and piss off again. The hitbox is perfectly fine imo.
He's annoying as fuck but it's doable.
I got some lightning res equipment and para res jewels so I don't get 2 shot. Also go into camera options and use the "far" option so you can at least see a little bit behind you for the lightning bullshit. I hate rolling backwards into some bullshit I didn't see.
Use the rathalos LS if you have it, or what deals most damage in one hit.

Everyone recommends bow for Kirin but I did terrible with it. At the end I used my trusty LS because I feel better at evading. Fight basically was about hitting him like twice (always in the head) and inmediately after that roll away like a friggin Dark Souls game. Don't even bother with combos and stuff, just regular hits.

It feels like he has infinite health. I don't see myself doing that fight again.

Search online custom Arena sessions. There will be people there joining for Arenas. Arenas are tuned for two players so they're way more manageable in coop.

Ah, I use that a lot too but I actually made a light bowgun for tempered Kirin. A common strat is to put it to sleep and use bombs so that's what I did with Xeno armor to save bullets, using Kirin boots for extra thunder resistance. Vitality and thunder mantle, horn and Radobaan weapon on the cat

I tried to play with some people against Tempered Kirin on my first try and it killed us very quickly lol. On my second try, I beat it with the Long Sword on solo, but I almost failed the quest. When it was enraged, I basically only dodged its attacks because I didn't want to take any risks if I attacked it.

I'm never able to get the second hit off before the lighting obliterates me, and by the second stage hes literally just spamming the surrounding lightning moves over and over nonstop.
