Manticore and Gekido are definite purchases for me this month. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Gekido won't support online co-op, right?

Anyone have impressions for WorldNeverland: Elnea Kingdom? It seems to be well received, based on app store ratings. Could be cool.

Looks like we shouldn't hold out for Wargroove until the second half of 2018. I want them to take their time and get it right, but here's hoping it doesn't wind up bumping up too close to Fire Emblem. I was counting on either it or Hollow Knight to show up in the spring and tide me over what look to be fairly slow months; oh well.

Manticore looking great. So it's Starfox without cartoon characters?
It's not really like Starfox. It's more akin to Freespace 2.

If you have a decent smartphone, you should check out the f2p version that's available. The Switch version has a different control scheme and an altered mission structure, but it will give you idea of what to expect.

Just read this about Manticore: Galaxy On Fire and you have no idea how much I want this to come good.

Here is some additional info about the game which was already posted on a couple of news sites:

1.) Full premium experience without any sign of micro transactions, focusing on the narrative driven story campaign
2.) Exclusive new content added with Act 3: 6 additional locations, 5 story missions and 3 "distraction" missions
3.) Completely reworked upgrade system that's tied to your story progression
4.) Runs at 1080p/60 fps docked, 720p/60fps handheld mode
5.) More open game structure, meaning you can jump from one location to another via wormholes, access the galaxy map during gameplay, fly to the Manticore to change equipment etc.
6.) Seamless transition to exploration mode after you've beaten a mission in that location
7.) Entire game got rebalanced (difficulty, ship classes, upgrades etc.),, every single mission got revised to some extent
8.) 3 different difficulty levels selectable in the main menu and anytime during gameplay
9.) Almost completely new User Interface purpose built for the Nintendo Switch including in-game HUD, navigation in the hangar, galaxy map, mission overview, player profile etc.
10.) Reworked controls that work naturally with the Joy-Cons/Pro Controller
11.) Utilisation of Switch-specific features like HD rumble and accelerometer
12.) Capture and share screenshots via the Switch's capture function
13.) Additional options like active/passive auto alignment of your ship and aim assist
14.) And many, many more big and small adjustments like lighting in some locations, enemy count, additional mission objectives/fail states etc.

Anyone played it on mobile? How is the gameplay?

In for Subsurface Circular and Totes the Goat tomorrow. Might buy Super Toy Cars if impressions are glowing.

I just finished the last C-Side in Celeste so I just freed my Switch time up. I should probably tackle Dragon Quest Builders or one of the other dozens of games in my backlog.

Damn, plenty of stuff i want to pick up in March.

Retail wise, Kirby is the biggy here, can't wait to get me some HD Dreamland. Might also pick up Atelier as my first foray into the series.

Eshop wise i have the following on my list (bold are likely purchases around day/week1)

Outlast
The Final Station
Detention
Mulaka
A Normal lost phone
Damascus Gear
Fear Effect Sedna
North
Manticore
Castle of Hearts
Gekido

Good month all round imo.

Just read this about Manticore: Galaxy On Fire and you have no idea how much I want this to come good.

As with VOEZ, I like the precedent that's being set here for the Switch as a destination for complete, pay-once, no-microtransaction, controller-supporting editions of mobile games. Haven't played Manticore, but I enjoyed Galaxy on Fire 2 enough that I might be interested after all if it has a similar freeform openness outside the main quest.

I'm super excited to make my own campaigns. Chroma Squad recently updated and added an episode editor and it's so cool to make storylines. I'm pumped to make branching paths based on conditions on Wargroove!

Will Buy this month:
Subsurface Circular
Detention
Atelier Lydie & Suelle
: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting

Still need to buy from last month:
Layers of Fear: Legacy
Outlast: Bundle of Terror

Will Be Considering:
Fear Effect Sedna
The Long Reach
Attack on Titan 2
Outlast 2

I think the following 2 are also supposed to appear in March(?)
The Raven Remastered
State of Mind

Also, a reply to a question which appeared just before the previous eshop thread was locked, regarding Joe Dever's Lone Wolf:
Any more impressions? I kind of want to pull the trigger on this due to loving the gamebooks as a kid. How is the length? Do they do anything to add to replayability or is it a one and done kind of thing like the source material?
I recommend this game. I am unsure about length since I play a couple of hours or so each day and my Switch still doesn't show me the number of hours played for this one (not finished yet anyway). Howlongtobeat.com says 14½ Hours on average to complete the main story (https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=22975).

There are 2 difficulty modes. I play on Easy, and some battles still kick my ass and need to be replayed several times. The harder mode (don't remember its name, Normal perhaps?), is, obviously harder (I started with it but it was too hard for me), but they say you will find more special items on the way. Also, when you start the game you define your special abilities (e.g. communicate with animals, sixth sense, whatever) - which will affect what you can do in each battle and in every situation you encounter. So I would say that adds to replayability as well.

Regarding the branchings (it is a "write your adventure" game after all) I am unsure if picking any specific branch anywhere would have made a huge difference (as in a completely, utterly different direction taken with a ton of new content), though obviously choices I made affected things and interactions in various ways all the time.

I redeemed the points on my 17 physical games and idk how many i've redeemed through digital purchases and I have a total of.......... $12.60

I guess it's like Free Money so I shouldn't really complain but I just thought the conversion rate would be higher than 1 point = 1 cent

Nah. They said "Early March" not start of March, could be another few days/a week until they roll it out.
the my nintendo site said 2nd of March, at least for AU/NZ

So, already bought Detention. Will definitely also grab Subsurface Circular.

Then probably either AoT2 or Atelier, depending on how reviews go.

And pray that nothing else interesting drops.

It just says "Early March" on the EU one. I suspect they'll all update at once though.

I wasn't even aware This is the Police was on the Switch. I saw a streamer play it awhile ago and it looked pretty interesting. I was also surprised such a small game had a physical release, so I picked that up and have been playing it the last few days.

Been pretty good so far. A tad easier than I thought it was going to be, once you get in a rhythm it's pretty easy to mindlessly get through days. The curveballs the game throws at you haven't mattered much so far, they're pretty easy to recover from. The story and voice acting have been fantastic.

Yup, it's a nice cool little game. I just think it's a bit too long for it's own good.
I also think it was a bit easy when you get the hang of the stuff but sometimes it tries to bring some new stuff to the game.

They already said that in the second game coming out later this year the game will be tougher and add more random stuff to it so it doesn't get too predictable.

The Alliance Alive Demo (SEGA) - Free
The makers of The Legend of Legacy bring the classic JRPG back to form in The Alliance Alive, a new adventure that evokes the nostalgia of the JRPG greats by offering huge world-exploration, an intertwining story of 9 protagonists, and well-designed battle mechanics.

One thousand years ago, Daemons invaded the world of Humans. They subjugated Humanity and created the Great Barrier to separate the realms. The world was thrown into upheaval, and the Dark Current was born. Humanity was decimated and now Daemons rule atop a hierarchical society. However, the time for resistance has come. The world is about to change yet again...

Sky Force Reloaded looks fun, any positive impressions from last month?

Mixed. Some argue the F2P holdovers from the iOS original make the experience feel far too repetitive and dull. Others argue the progression hooks and hunt for skill rewards keep them busy and entertain. I am also the fence and haven't grabbed it.
