As belmonkey on Xbox, I'd occasionally get some racial abuse simply for the "monkey" part of my name. Since I've started playing with more English people though, I've just been getting called bellendmonkey instead.

I have totally given up and thats why my game id's range from HillaryClinton to Hillary2020. You can only imagine the salt I get from angry ##s holes. Its rather amusing really. Always use the report button and block, not much else you can do unfortunately.

On the subject of old gaming handles...used to use the very unique nick of 'DANGEROUS' (in all caps like that ofc...for that extra lethality) During this one game of Rainbow Six Raven Shield (that good ol' mp demo), my 12 year old shithead self decided to just open fire as soon as the round started and wipe out my entire team. Naturally this made people less than enthused and they all started to call in chat for me to suicide and start the next bloody round because noone wanted to have a dragged out round of 1 v 5 playing cat and mouse only to inevitably have riddled with bullets. Well, somehow the star aligned and I killed everyone in the opposite team as well...everyone was flabbergasted, the silence of my team was broken by someone writing in chat "Dangerous indeed". I think for that very moment I knew exactly how badass Duke Nukem felt like.

I'm UnlovedJew on almost all social media including games. When I get acknowledged by a rando, I usually get a message along the lines of "oh i love you". Sometimes, however, I get people telling me to go burn in an oven or that I am a dirty ****.

People's online IDs amuse me more than they should, but baffle me. Like the name is SO permanent, SO attached to years worth of your purchases, yet people absolutely do not think more than 2 seconds about what they use. Even putting numbers in them seems moronic to me, like just pick another word that doesnt have them. People who misspell their names, or basic words, like Super Siayan which I see all the time. Like do they just not care? I've always been slightly on the spectrum as in I like things to make sense, and while my gamertags might be considered rubbish, I spent a good 20 minutes at the time choosing each one.

My PSN tag is rubbish, but 10 plus years later Im not sure if id even change it now, im so attached to it. Oh and dont even start me on using xX Xx around your name, it looks shite.

I just feel like it's kind of a religious thing, and the US is definitely more religious than Europe.

I can't imagine anyone giving a fuck about "jerusalem" in a username in my region (Germany/EU).

I'm not provoking anyone, but seems funny when I read about people in US, EU, AU complaining about racism, discrimination and social problems.
