Farewell is gonna be sorrow from beginning to end, I don't wanna say goodbye to either character.
In a weird selfish way, for a long time I hoped LiS2 would be a continuation of Max and Chloe after Bae ending, trying to reconcile and move on in life together somewhere else.

Eh, as much as I love them both, it's time to move on to something new. I'm glad they're giving us this last episode to send them off at least.
Is this gonna be it for the franchise, or are we getting a new story somewhere with new characters?

They're currently working on LiS 2. It'll be a new setting with new characters.
Dontnod is working on a sequel, or at least a new game in the LiS franchise, but it won't involve Max and Chloe. They said it will be a new cast and a new location.
If anything, you would want there to not be a second game because then you can assume everything is happily ever after.
That's completely fine. I just need the franchise to go on. There aren't that many games that can provide this level of feels.
Have you played Night in the Woods? I'm only a few hours into it, and although it's definitely different, it does kind of have some similar vibes as the ones I get from LiS. (I'm about to go play some more of it now actually haha)

Yeah, I kept hearing about it on here and on podcasts, and then Matthew, Hail Satan, and Pirate Bae all said they really liked it, so I picked it up the other day and so far I really like it too.

Oh yeah! very much recommend Night in the Woods, very similar to Oxenfree which also has some similarities to LiS. Won't cure that desire for more LiS but they help.

I was flippin' through the JP-PSN Store this morning and noticed a double-pack is up for pre-order with LiS1 and BtS for just ¥5400 which is a really good deal imo.

I did just listen to July 31st by Julie Christmas and she's awesome! That song gave me goosebumps.
Dunno yet, many are hoping so because it did previously but they had to remove the trophy so people who didn't buy the deluxe edition didn't get screwed out of the platinum.
I'd say if there is no additional trophies by Monday night, than probably not.

I don't see why they wouldn't re-add any bonus episode trophies back in now that the main game is out. But it also seems kind of late. The trophies for the second Assassin's Creed Origins DLC that comes out on the 13th have been on PSN for over a week already.
Huh, so I guess that's the teaser for the bonus episode then, because yeah that is new.
