Hrm, if you redo it, you should post it in the gaming thread/discord as well. Or maybe just make a new thread on gaming side. It's what I'd hope to do but it seems like I'd have to withdraw it and resend it again.

I just wanted to say, Ontario should get rid of daylight savings. Such a pointless practice.
It's Province wide. It's not exclusive to Right Wingism here. It's a god damn useless tradition if you ask me. The bunny huggers have it right.
As for quebec, is the xenophobic tendencies limited to north eastern region? Working in Ottawa i rarely get a sense of racism or xenophobia from Gatineau or Montreal area. Limited sample i know but half my co workers are from quebec region.

Quebec City is famous because of their talk radio trash.
Montreal Island is the most tolerant, notice that I'm using the word "tolerant" and not "inclussive" LOL.
Speaking on the subject, JdM's resident white nationalist is complaining about Aba & Preach's comedy.

Except Singh has indicated he may support a Conservative government in order to "topple the Trudeau government" so their chances of forming government are greatly reduced if they do end up with a minority. While I would vastly prefer the NDP and LPC working together over having the Cons in any position of power (especially if it means that a federal ban on carding is imposed), reality would suggest that the possibility of doing so is unlikely.the most important take away is the pie chart, chance of forming gov.
LPC minority 34.7%, LPC majority 15.5%.
LPC combined chance of 50.2% to form government.
CPC minority 40.5%/ CPC majority 8%
CPC combined chance of 48.5% to form government.
Tie 1.3%
NDP minority chance 0.1%
so, the LPC still has a 3.3% over the CPC to form a whatever government.
Man, fuck Singh for that.Except Singh has indicated he may support a Conservative government in order to "topple the Trudeau government

Two 11-year-old girls say they were shocked to see the word "nègre" on a homework assignment.
The girls, who are black, are students at Académie Saint-Clément, a school in the Town of Mount Royal.
They were given a worksheet where students were required to find the diminutive of a number of French words. Among words like song, room, bear and donkey was the racial slur.
"I was shocked because it's a derogatory word," said one of the children.
The girls complained to their teacher, who told them the word was not racist and that, if it was not acceptable, Dix petits nègres, the French version of an Agatha Christie novel, would not be available in the library, the girl said.
The teacher proceeded to instruct the class on the diminutive of the word, she said.
https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/ontario-mpp-tables-bill-to-lower-voting-age-to-16-1.3829696An Ontario legislator has formally proposed that the province lower the voting age from to 18 to 16.
Liberal MPP Arthur Potts, who represents the Toronto riding of Beaches—East York, says that if 16-year-olds are trusted to drive cars, coach soccer and pay income tax, "it is time to trust them to vote."
...
Some Queen's Park observers have pointed out that a private member's bill such as this one is likely to die without becoming law, because there wouldn't be enough time to pass it before the election on June 7.
Potts calls the bill "an first important step."
Its a good idea, but we get one of these every couple of years. Always gets voted down thoughNobody posted this yesterday?

Same can be said about 18 year olds.I'm against it
16 year olds are not adults and are highly too idealistic when it comes to politics.
I remember my mindset when I was that age, not very mature at all
they think it's a "smart move" before the electionSame can be said about 18 year olds.
This won't go through but I can see it eventually happen in the future.
If you're old enough to be eligible for a license to drive, you're older enough to understand the importance of voting (Ontario doesn't have a civics course requirement just to kill half a semester for students); I hope this bill goes through and that the federal government follows suit; I know younger me would have loved to have voted against Harper in 2011.I'm against it

....What the actual fuckGazette has a new story (on topic):

She is using the usual excuse by hiding behind the 80 year old title of an Agatha Christie novel (the English version changed its title but not the French version).....What the actual fuck
And that teacher, no really, what the fucking fuck my god I can't... I'm honestly speechless.
A driver's license is a privilege not a right.. Your analogy doesn't work because their metabolism are not adult enough to be allowed to drink alcohol. If you're old enough to be eligible for a license to drive, you're older enough to understand the importance of voting (Ontario doesn't have a civics course requirement just to kill half a semester for students); I hope this bill goes through and that the federal government follows suit; I know younger me would have loved to have voted against Harper in 2011.
I would honestly be curious to know what percentage of 16-17 year olds would actually show up to vote.
I had no idea who this Faith Goldy was and so I peeked at her Twitter.
There's Pepe in there, among other things. Charming.
Also LOL, not enough giant middle fingers for this bigoted lunacy:
Ontario introduced legislation Tuesday that aims to close the wage gap between women and men in the province.
If passed, the "pay transparency" bill would require all publicly advertised job postings to include a salary rate or range, bar employers from asking about past compensation and prohibit reprisal against employees who do discuss or disclose compensation.
It would also create a framework that would require large employers to track and report compensation gaps based on gender and other diversity characteristics, and disclose the information to the province.
The pay transparency measures will begin with the Ontario public service before applying to employers with more than 500 employees. It will later extend to those with more than 250 workers.
it's funny, UK wouldn't be in that pickle if they didn't Brexit themselves out of the EU.
IMO, it's a little premature to make a new trade deal with them while their divorce with the EU isn't finalized
will benefit workers quite a bit.
I'd prefer the voting age to be 21 to 70. Anyone outside of that is either too young to understand politics or too old to care about long term consequences. Obviously they are gross generalizations, but you struggle to find 18 years who engaged enough to vote, let alone 16 year olds. Its a good idea, but we get one of these every couple of years. Maybe Wynne will somehow keep winning. lol
Maybe the PCs will just collapse on themselves again in some miraculous turn of events.

Was not familiar with her, the only Rebel Media names I'm familiar with are Gavin McInnes and Ezra Levant. I see on Wikipedia that she actually got fired from Rebel Media for appearing on a white supremacist podcast... jesus fucking christ when Rebel Media fires you for being too racist, you know something's upFormer Rebel contributor; you may know her as that racist, Islamophobic idiot who cried out "Deus vult" in Jerusalem or for marching alongside Charlottesville's Nazis.

Quite a few? I was also one once.
AMAZING! I can't wait for this to turn into an abortion circus and then an anti-marijauna circus next.
Plenty of older people are lacking in the ever vague "life experience" that makes them somehow more qualified to vote. If anything, with how Gen Y and Z being the most educated and diverse voting bloc in Canada come 2019, they would be more knowledgeable about the major issues Canadian society faces than out of touch Boomers, namely with how thoroughly screwed they're gotten or will be due to the voting decisions made by an older generation that lead to the Harper Years.Quite a few? They have plenty of years to vote, they don't however have much life experience.

Get back to me when you know plenty of 16-18 year olds who have plenty of experience paying income and property taxes, managing RRSP's, TFSA's etc... I absolutely believe there should be an age limit for older voters (I would have said 60 years old but life expectancy is growing quickly) as well but younger voters are just as likely to be narrow-focussed voters like boomers are.Plenty of older people are lacking in the ever vague "life experience" that makes them somehow more qualified to vote.
