The shade of it all...

The DCEU been shady to the MCU couple of time especially when
- David Ayer (The Director of The Academy Award Winning Movie AKA Suicide Squad) shouted F*** Marvel
- Zack Snyder shading Ant-Man
- Recruiting Joss Whedon right after his departure from the MCU
anything else ?

Didn't someone talk shit about post-credit scenes before they put the Knightmare scene and Luthor's high school video projects on the JL in Batman v Superman.

Just as a heads up, there is a hilarious "Thor Ragnarok in 4D" video by James Corden that pretty much spoils the whole movie, so try to avoid it until you've seen it.

I feel like Marvel has been doing it too with their trailers. Not trash talking, but everytime dc have big news or release a trailer, 1 or 2 days later Marvel release their own trailer like Black Panther or Thor Ragnarok trailer.
Even youtuber pick up on it, I remember watching one of double toasted video where they comment Marvel is just trolling DC now.

Alright, so I just saw Ragnarok and, aside from the facts that it was dope, Jeff Goldblum is a national treasure, and the score was great, I'm still going to cling to my Heimdall is the Soul Stone nonsense.

Also,
Thor has both his eyes in the trailer they showed at D23. Can that be attributed to lack of VFX work or is it something else entirely?

The marketing teams who plan this stuff out probably aren't made up of internet nerds and trolls who like to play into the silly DC Vs. Marvel narrative by using marketing materials to one-up the distinguished competition. They're doing three movies a year so there's bound to be some overlap with marketing of other similar films. That's all that is.

When Dc releases something, if I have a trailer that could one-up them I would release it too. Just take advantage of the hype train!

BvS was bunch of midcredit scenes but placed in the middle of the movie instead lul

Yes Marvel been shady too, they announced their Phase 3 line-up the same time Warner announced their DCEU projects, so I wouldn't be surprised if Uploaded IW's Trailer when JL embargo lefts

There were years inbetween...

Like 1-2 years when already started working on Batgirl movie before he was asked to finish what Zack started (JL)

The words "hilarious" and "James Corden" don't compute. He better not get an MCU role.

I saw Ragnarok last night and absolutely loved it. Lived up to the hype for me and I can't wait to see it again. I need Taika to do another one or take on any other character in the MCU.

I know, but there is a reason for that.
It involves the entire main cast recreating the movie live as a super low budget play, in front of an audience that went to see a prescreening

What if
the soul stone is what the Black Panther lineage uses to communicate with their ancestors?

Already too many stones coincidentally on earth.

Also, no need for spoiler tags for that.

Was afraid someone would claim it was a spoiler since it proves the stone isn't present in Thor Ragnarok lol.

How many stones are conveniently on Earth at this point? Any that are there now were brought by Loki, with the exception of the Eye of Agamotto.

One stone originally on Earth is enough I think. Although I won't be surprised if it does end up being in BP.

Oh, true.

Tesseract, Aether, the Eye, Mind stone... It's like the universe is a big place, but most of these magic stones somehow always end up on earth at some point? They could have spread shit out more with a little forethought. It's easy enough to explain away, but it's enough already.

There's potential to tackle that in Captain Marvel if they use the Kree-Skrull War as backdrop. Basically make Earth a strategic position where both races fucked around and you have your reason why Earth is so important.

When are they going to drop the Infinity War trailer?

My guess is they're going to wait a couple weeks until most have seen Thor: Ragnarok, then drop the trailer where
Thor's eye is actually edited out
so as to prevent confusion. It's also a good time to deflate Justice League release hype.

I think they said they would release it with The Last Jedi.

Ah ok, my bad. Do we know if the trailer will be the same with the d23 one?
We know nothing. There's a chance it might be the D23 one but with improved effects. And there's a chance it might have other footage. We know nothing.

New promo art of Avengers: Infinity War:

It turns out Black Widow's costume is actually a Hulk-green color. She also have a staff but we knew that already.

Why Marvel scrapped Beta Rey Bill's planned cameo
Kevin Feige has also revealed in a recent interview that there was plans for Beta Rey Bill to appear, but his appearance would be so quick that it wouldn't have done the character any justice:
"There was a Beta Ray Bill, but it was so quick that you would have the same complaints that you have now," Feige said. "He was in it a little bit more and it just didn't do justice. And the feeling is, if you can't do it justice, do it later."

I can see Infinity War, among several other 2018 trailers, dropping in time for Star Wars. Maybe they'll trickle out to not all drop around the same time. But I remember with Star Wars 7 you had all these trailers drop in the lead up.

And on trailers, funny thing about Thor Ragnarok (movie spoilers)
my screening had Black Panther, Justice League, Star Wars 8, Pacific Rim 2, and... Downsizing. You're wondering how an Alexander Payne directed movie with Matt Damon fits in. Some people were making Ant-Man jokes. But then you see the cameo and it makes sense.

The Winter Soldier is frozen down in Wakanda, and speculation is, that Captain American and his team might also be hiding in Wakanda. Officially we don't know where they are.

It's not in any of their characters to just go hide somewhere. They're probably busy covertly overthrowing dictatorships or something.

Just rewatched the Infinity War trailer, and I think I noticed something...

Loki is presenting the tesseract to someone. I'm pretty certain at this point that Thanos is killing everyone on board that Asgardian ship besides the handful of key players, and just before taking out Loki, spares him since he gives the tesseract. Loki plays the Mephisto roll as adviser to Thanos in the MCU version of the Infinity Gauntlet story. yesssssssssssss.

Loki is going to give Thanos the cube and then be murdered for incompetence. His redemption arc in Ragnarok isn't complete until he's dead.

Just saw those set photos from Avengers 4. I can't imagine why in the world they would be filming a scene like that so I'm very curious to see that in the movie.

Ragnarok's music was the same shit as all the others, except with mostly saw wave synths. It's all buried under dialogue and explosions.

Eh, during one of the later action scenes, my wife turned to me during this film to say she liked the music.

Some of it is typical Marvel wallpaper but there were several good tracks.

They synthy version of the Thor theme at the beginning, the Doctor Strange theme, and the lullaby were the only things that stood out and that because they had about five seconds to actually breathe,

Theater was in stitches when the lullaby started playing, too.

The first thing my son said when Ragnarok ended was:

"This was the best movie Dad".

I don't disagree.

Thor smiling at Hulk during the lullaby is some serious gif material.
