I'm curious how Netero in his prime would have stood up to all of these people, including Meruem. When Morel, Knov, and Netero are entering the country, Netero comments that he's lost 3/4ths of his strength from his prime. I'm sure it's an exaggeration, but there's definitely a sizable power difference there.

Netero also is an enhancer so even being just 20 years younger might make a big difference in his physical stats. Maybe even make is Buddha hit harder.

He might have been able to deal actual damage to Meruem in his prime. He still had the skill and technical ability to land hits, but not the power to do the damage needed to win the fight.

Maha is the deadliest prune in the world. His killing arts have probably not waned, even in his elder state. I think he's easily still in the Top 5. And the dude is an Enhancer, he might be hiding his true body. I could really see him getting his Lao G on:

Yep its gonna be 17 years since Yorknew City ended in the middle of 2001.

EDIT: More like 15 years since Hisoka vs Chrollo fight was 2 years ago.

LOL. I'll settle for him being alive. He'll probably be missing a limb or two, though.
The spiders, Hisoka, Kurapika, and the princes are all gonna cross paths in the boat. It won't be pretty. I fear for Hanzo, Bisky, and Melody. They haven't done anything wrong =(

I think alive is pushing it. Part of me thinks Terror Sandwich's Nen ability will be some kind of deadly disease-type thing (or something that would kill tons of people if used) and Kurapika will wind up absorbing it and dying to prevent it's release.

There's a small part of me that still thinks Gon will get involved in this DC stuff somehow. I mean sure, Hunter Hunter does go against the grain with a lot of Shounen tropes but this whole expedition is literally the biggest arc in the series from a world building and arguably story-progression too. I mean humanity's ancestors and perhaps even Nen's origin itself may be revealed, it doesn't get much bigger than this.

I'd commend Mr. Togashi if he actually follows through and keeps him out of it though.

I was totally expecting a lull in the manga between GI arc and this one, but holy shit, this series is the gift that keeps on giving.

I still think Machi is gonna be Hisoka downfall somehow, and with this commentary the chance for that to happen gets bigger.

I remember when Chrollo said he'd win 100% that the most Togashi thing to do would be to actually follow through with it. Glad he actually put a lot of thought into it lol

All the talking that of Adult Gon can pose a threat to Meruem is futile for me lol when we know that the Meruem Pitou is thinking is literally the weakest form of Meruem.

Meruem is the example of nipped in the bud. He just born and started to learn Nen and other things. Hell. We never really see him uses his consume ability except when he eat the rose directly to his face.

The Meruem which consume both Pouf and Youpi is sooo outrageously powerful that i dont see anyone in human world beating him.

I doubt Gon-san could even beat base form Meruem.

It took so many Jajankens to crush Pitou's skull... And Meruem likely has much tougher skin. Zero Hand barely did any damage to him.

I was playing Monster Hunter recently and felt like that's what the DC would be like. If you come across some shit you can't kill you're just fucked and it's full of kaiju's.

I mean. His skin alone is so strong that normal Nen attack gives like no damage. So, playing by the rule book against Meruem is kinda difficult.

Something which can OHKO a normal human would not guaranteed that it will works againts Meruem.

I mean. Thats is why the theme during that Arc is different. The one which can kill King is not even Nen or super powerful warrior. But something like Science which is out of Nen capability as human will keep evolving and technology will always step one step ahead of even the strongest Nen User.

I do think that Meruem would have tons of trouble in DC though. As those place is not place to look for power but more on Hax over Hax thingy like disease or virus lol. I mean, Alluka certainly can kill King easily.......but i just don't dare to see how much sacrifice it would need lol.
