I meant, maybe Hades could come back as the Story Mode villain in Smash. As Sakurai's creation, and as the most entertaining villain in the Nintendo universe, he'd make for a great antagonist. And if anyone's powerful enough to attempt a takeover of the videogame multiverse, it'd be Hades. I could see him tricking Ganondorf and Bowser with his smooth talk.

Yes, lol. Every god has their flaws, I don't like how people use Hades like the Abrahamic devil. Makes the whole universe more generic and boring when they could explore more morally grey divine beings. The thing I like the most in KIU is how we got characters like Viridi, who wants to kill all mankind, but is portrayed in a good light. That feels more like the original tone of the mythos.

Ugh, this makes me so sad. I wanted SO badly for another team to be handling Smash 4 Switch with Sakurai consulting and for Sakurai to be concentrated on another Kid Icarus game built from the ground up for Switch.

Even if he's not (miraculously) on it, I am still holding out hope for a new game. It's strangely one of my favorite franchises.

I know Platinum Games is requested for everything, but they really WOULD be perfect for a Kid Icarus Uprising 2.

It'd be nice if Sakurai would at least write the script to the sequel and maybe serve as a consultant.

Yeah, Uprising's use of Greek Myths is really weird but I love it. Some the usual suspects like Zeus, Hera or Athena don't appear in favor of original characters like Palutena, Viridi and Pyrrhon, but then you've got other usual suspects like Hades and Poseidon. Some of them are really just in name only, like Pandora the evil blob who turns into a waifu lol.

It's one of the reasons I really want to see the series continue. I wanna see what else they can get out of this quirky interpretation.

I was going to say I want to see Phosphora in Smash, since her level was my favorite in Kid Icarus Uprising, but then I realized she's already an assist trophy. One can always count on Sakurai to deliver the waifus.

Three copies if a sequel/remaster happens. The franchise deserves to be treated better: giving it an excellent one-off comeback, then shelving it again is cruel.
I don't care if Sakurai isn't involve in it(it would be best if he is), I just want more Kid Icarus.

Nintendo will destroy us either tomorrow or at E3, if tomorrow is disappointing they are going to have the most epic E3 ever with first look of metroid, smash, bayonetta and pokemon.

While I'm yelling at clouds here, I really love the game and the humor. A KIU 2 is one of my dreams, but I don't think this is happening because of Sakurai. ):

In terms of what I'm actually letting myself expect, from among the rumored stuff:

- The rumored DLC for Odyssey sounds quite plausible and even likely
- So do the rumors about the new Fire Emblem and Travis Strikes Back

I don't care about No More Heroes stuff, but I'm definitely down for Odyssey DLC and Fire Emblem.

They have their own event in June (the weekend after E3, in fact). At this point it's possible they're just holding any announcements for that week.

Barring even more organizational changes, the two who were basically given the reigns to the series with Berseria (Yasuhiro Fukaya and Kai Tanaka) are probably still in charge for the next game.

As for no announcements yet, it's probably half about taking a different approach to its announcement/release (timing for a worldwide release, adding a Switch version, whatever) pushing things back a bit, and half about investing in technical/visual upgrades now that can carry them for the next 4-6 years.

All I ask is for Smash to be announced tomorrow - straight port of 4, Deluxe with both the Wii U and 3DS content or a brand new title...whatever it is with GCN controller support.

I don't expect any huge game announcements, just DLC, release dates, and maybe a few smaller Spring titles.

After the last direct my expectations are in checked.
