Interesting that it is a parody of an actual existing episode.... would be fun to see the comparisons later =D

Seeing those screenshots make me wish WB would make another serious Scooby Doo series.

One of my least favorite episodes of the entire series.
Priest and the Impala joke were the only things to save it personally.

Scoobynatural preview was so good, the wait is gonna suck.

I dunno, I liked it. The impala joke made me laugh a lot, Deans serious face and just "I'd kill em" and Sam being taken back and genuinely surprised. I have to say before the priest got shot I was like they're definitely going to kill him, they always do this shit were we get a super nice character who helps the boys and they end up dead. He got shot and I just shook my head like I fuckin knew it! Then turns out he was just glazed and I was joyus :D. I like the priest guys he's so nice and innocent which makes him pretty funny. Sort of like Castiel at times :p.

I don't know. I thought that was a good-ass episode, even if it is light on the supernatural elements. It was a tad predictable about the blood, of course, but fetch quests are always kind of lame.

Anyway, here's what I think will happen at the end of the season: Jack will fuck up Michael but will stop short of killing him. Then Michael will use this opportunity to really mess up Jack, but he will be killed right before he lands the final blow by Lucifer or Gabriel (I'm leaning Lucifer). Jack will then choose to stay in the alt-world to help out the people there, and we won't see him again. He's just way too powerful an ally to have around. Mary will probably also stay.

The World
Liked the episode, light on current story but fun, sort of typecasted characters.

I am going to assume Gabriel does the cartoon thing to talk to the boys

As much as I love Jack, I think that is what will happen. Also he seems to be the only way to defend humans against the dick Angels, so he will definitely want to stay and protect em.

Interesting variation on the usual episode plot.
It is also funny to see them interact with true believers who haven't met these actual figures.

Huh, you guys didn't like the "classical gangster film" episode? Can't please some people. I love it when they play with the formula, keeps things from being stale.

Personally was one of the worst episodes in the series for me; the acting was bad, the story was lame, and it did not actually pull off the feeling they were going for IMO. Felt very amateur.

Oh well, to each their own.

I liked the last episode, mostly because it had that goofy overly dramatic semi parody but played straight vibe old gag episodes like the leprechaun episode the season 6 fairy / UFO episode and the season 4 (i think?) black and white fake dracula episode. Also it was really nice having an episode where dean is light hearted and having fun instead of being broody and overly angry.

I had some problems with the inconsistency, like Dean saying "it is just a skull" since he knows there are probably 32 spells that use the holyness or whatever mystical propriety that THAT SPECIFIC SKULL posses... But it was a fun episode. Cool change of pace having zero supernatural beings. Been a while we don't have one of those

Holy fuck, that Scooby Doo episode looks amazing.

Dean's hair is far too brown though, and he doesn't look as good as Jared's cartoon version.

I'm still two episodes back so I need to get catching up.

Only one episode behind now.

Did the show's budget get cut this season? The other dimension looks so cheap. Then again, Crowley's hell throne room has also always looked bad.

The showrunner and the actors are talking about keeping the show around after next season. So we're going to at least 15 seasons.

Yep, Jensen said something along the lines of "there are a number of reasons I still love doing this show."

I think for the cast, it's truly a family and they honestly feel lucky to have such steady jobs in a show that so many people still enjoy, year after year.

Yup. They know they are lucky, and the crew is lucky. Why fuck with a good thing. And that they have settled down and have kids now, they probably want stability.

It's also the kind of thing that can keep going indefinitely. There's still areas of that world we still haven't even really looked at and we're 13 seasons in.

Just finished the last episode. It was pretty mediocre and forgettable overall, but had a few good moments and wasn't bad. It ended better than it started.

Sam cockblocking Dean, Dean saying he'd kill anyone who stole the Impala and the end were all good moments. The redhead was kind of cute, and her flirting with Sam was funny as well.

Man, saw a season 2 episode and Dean mentions Daphne. :P

forshadowing huh

I remembered him mentioning her, but didn't know when that was. I think he has a crush on her.

I'm excited but likely won't be able to sit down and watch it until this weekend ahhhh. So I'm going to have to exile myself. If the episode is good enough it likely needs it own thread at this point. The hype is real lol

I think I'll wait until tomorrow to watch it, because I'm too tired to fully enjoy it already. I'm excited to see it, and glad it's finally come around. Hopefully it's as good as it looks.

I'm west coast, so I usually bow out of these threads while the east coast people make a billion posts at 5 o'clock.

Okay this is really good. Hearing Fred say "Yeah cancer" is weird as hell but this whole thing is working.
