I honestly can't remember either Piper or Creel, but I remember their names. Guess they were never memorable to me in earlier seasons.
Piper was first introduced in the episode where they fought the two Kree warriors in the farm (when Hive-Ward was doing his thing). She then became a regular face at the base in Season 4, and played a large part during the whole "who is an LMD" thing, and then ended up being one of the watch crew on the Zephyr while Daisy and Jemma were plugged into Aida's hydra-world.

Creel was first introduced in the first episode of Season 2, he's the one who killed Lucy Lawless. Caused the team some problems through Season 2, including trying to abduct Talbot. Then he goes away for a season, and resurfaces as Talbot's body guard in the episode where Talbot and Coulson meet with the world leaders to discuss what to do about Inhumans.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Best character development on TV" would be another title you could use and never believe at the start.

Finally finished Season 4 last night. What an unbelievable ride the Agents of Hydra pod was. The highlight for me was definitely Aida. What an arc that character went on... I was actually half-way sympathetic for her early in episode 21 before she just loses her mind. Holy crap was that frightening. That actress has quite the range in her acting.
Her "But what Leopold?" is one of the show's greatest deliveries.

What sucks is that if I was Fitz, I'd totally go for Aida... if he wasn't already with Jemma. There's no beating Jemma, I'm sorry, you just can't.

That's the thing. I was legit sympathizing with Aida when she first becomes human. I felt bad for her and could see the conflict in Fitz over how to handle her... even maybe choose her over Simmons. They reel you in with the sadness and confusion that Aida expresses and then - BOOM - they do an about-face and have her be a seriously terrifying villain.

Remember when everyone was hyped at Lucy Lawless being on the show, only to see her killed off in the first episode?

Really? On the latest episode;

Ultraspoiler
she ran from one different place to another hence getting caught by the circular saw

So I just got very confused.
You don't need to spoiler tag anything that happened in an aired episode.

She still returned to her starting position, but any injury she sustains mid-run still happens.

They do play the position reset thing a bit fast and loose; there's been cases where she gets blown backwards by an explosion and it's the explosion that sends her flying back instead of her leaving superspeed, but she is always shown to return one way or another. When everything goes normally, she moves so fast that most people looking at her don't realize she ever moved.

Yeah thats what I got confused about. Remember there was one episode where she ran through an exploding warehouse hallway.

Sometimes their inconsistencies are just confusing lol

I'm still under the theory that most of that scene was ad-libbed... their expressions were so genuine, even Fitz's stammering when Aida goes "BUT WHAT LEOPOLD?!" :D

That's a good theory and makes a lot of sense. I just watched that scene again on YouTube and everything about it is so genuine, as you mentioned. Fantastic acting by two of show's best.

that's because she ran in and ran back

she was doing recon but as she was running she triggered a trap and turned around
She was shown to run into the hallway, then to be sent flying backwards from the direction she ran in.

To be consistent with other portrayals of her speed, she should have returned to her starting position first, before the explosion became apparent.

So basically, Coulson isn't going to survive the season.

My bet is he dies this season and, hey, they thought he was dead anyway. That sort of thing.

yeah that's clearly where they're going with this

The AoS writers are better than this. It would basically be telling the fans, "Yeah, all of this was kind of fan fiction."

They won't kill Coulson again. It's a cop out and this writing staff doesn't do cop outs.

I would tend to agree but the last few episodes have hinted that they need to allow Coulson to die in order to avoid this doomsday scenario.

Let's be real though: if Tony were to find out Coulson were alive at this point, I think they're past the ability to treat it as a dramatic and shocking moment.

Like, not only has Coulson been in public, all over the place, for years, but his face is now at the top of the country's most wanted lists. Haha.

You say this as if the movies are actually beholden to the AoS writers' desires, which has very thoroughly proven to not be the case.
