Okay...who is going to buy this game this week and tell us how it is?
If it weren't a £26.99 port of a Mobile Game, I'd get it haha. It's apparently a 20-year old Franchise as well but this was the first I'm English.
The Mobile Game is free with IAP, which is described as:
So does not having to pay for this really justify the £27 price tag?!
Granted World Conqueror was a £0.99 Mobile Game where you could buy a few generals I think, but atleast they only charging £9 for it.
What say you, ERA?
EDIT: More info from their
FAQ:
And a Q detailing something which will be Premium Content:
Many thanks for your elaborated post. You have definitely put this game on my radar.
Indeed, yesterday I spent a lot of time investigating about this franchise, I didn't know the existence of the Playstation, Dreamcast or PSP titles.
I'm really getting a '
Scarlet Grace' vibe.
You know, the type of game with ultra-low budget values, that instead of focusing in the production values, it tries to create a complex world with elaborated rules and mechanics, in an overambitious and sometimes experimental JPRG.
The '
WorldNeverland' series seems more close to the '
Romancing Saga' or '
Metal Max' series than to 'Harvest Moon' in the ambition of its world.
Even by reading a wiki of the game, I found that it uses in its combat the same
weapon triangle system that '
Fire Emblem', crazy stuff.
But all of that said, I'm still cautious with this game. Because while it's a new entry in the series, it also seems that instead of being created by the original development team, the game has been licensed by other company to create the mobile game.
And it's very hard to find information about the series, to even know if a single developer of the original titles has collaborated in this game.
And other thing that makes me
extremely cautious is this:
Q: Can we use Magical Makeup (a magical cosmetic item that changes your appearance or that of those close to you) in the Nintendo Switch version?
Yes, you can. We plan to make it available as premium additional content. (Additional content will be available from stores in-game after purchase.)
So it seems than even with the premium price tag of a boxed game, they are still maintaining the in-game-purchases. Let's see if they are mere cosmetic things, or these objects can affect the balance of the game with over-powered stats.
