I know it's not a dream, and never once thought it was. I'm talking about how in general, I hate that trope lol

Yeah, the show was pretty explicit that the entire franchise wasn't a dream. Mariolee perfectly expresses what the episode was about
I don't know how anyone could have thought it was all a dream, though. Seemed pretty clear to me the manifestation wanted to lure Coulson into the rift.

Holy shit this episode

The entire show possibly being a dream
Deke's grandparents
DEATHLOK YOOOOOOOO

AND

THE WEDDING

When Fitz was walking up to Simmons, I kept thinking, "Ok, which one of them is going to die in the next 3 seconds." That maybe it's still fear dimension shit and one of them will be shot off screen. Then it's revealed that AIDA was off to the side and the next episode is them finishing off the fear dimension plot line.

Disappointed that they showed Hive but not Ward, that Lash had no lines, and Yo Yo wasn't at the wedding.

BUT DEATHLOK!

Really liked the episode, although wasn't too hot on the lack of Koenig(s), Bobbi, Hunter or Ward (man, he really should've been the one to talk to Coulson instead of Deathlok)
Can't believe FitzSimmons got married, was totally expecting something bad to happen at the last minute.

Also, regarding the final twist:
So, uh, with that pic of Fitz there,
the way that dude talked about them, and the rest of the team clearly being not just space but time displaced as well, what if Deke is Fitz's descendant?

Clark Gegg has been awesome as the character. His charisma was what put me through the first half of season 1 mostly...and I had a crush on Skye, lol.

Well, I guess I gotta protect Deke at all costs now.

ive never related to anything harder in my entire LIFE

edit: also admittedly cried a bit through this episode. the talk between daisy and coulson, the wedding, the grandparent reveal, damn, feels all over. these two episodes were amazing.

please bring my girl elena back to full power though. she deserves it, god dammit.

Good emotional episode, but the fear dimension.. well it feels like more of a two parter or arc idea.

Pacing this season has felt weaker than last year's.

What an episode, god damn.

Part of me is excited for the show to end - it's so good, but there is a natural feeling conclusion coming and I'd like an amazingly closed 5 season show to supplement the MCU movies. No other show airing comes close for me.

I'm also glad Deathlok got some great action in - any HQ gifs out there?

The flashes of Coulson's life got me tearing up - a life not lived. Truly scary shit.

I also loved Fitz being brutal again - 100% ready to toss Piper in the Fear Dimension.

Felt like it should have been longer but that my biggest complaint for most AoS episodes. Would have liked each of the team to have a dialogue with their fear like Coulson and Yoyo had. The wedding caught me off guard. So did the Deke reveal. i just knew that he was related to somebody even possibly to them but just the way the scene was done was great. Deathlok!

Minor spoiler from the official synopsis of the episode after next week (returning recurring character alert as well):

"The Devil Complex" - As Fitz and Simmons race to find a way to seal the Rift, they are faced with one of their greatest fears manifested, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," FRIDAY, MARCH 23 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Guest starring are Jeff Ward as Deke, Catherine Dent as General Hale, Brian Patrick Wade as Carl Creel, Briana Venskus as Agent Piper, Peter Mensah as Qovas and Zach McGowan as Anton Ivanov.

*sigh* imagine if Captain America had stepped off the Quinjet instead of Deathlok. Articles would have been written, reaction shots streamed, it would have been a recurring entry in GOAT TV moments lists.

That was one ugly wedding dress.

They act like they're the only members of SHIELD left but like Nick Fury's out there flying around in a giant Helicarrier with hundreds of crew apparently not giving a fuck about Coulson.

Speaking of Captain America, it was great to see Deke wear the Steve Rogers undercover outfit while eating a USA colored popsicle.

To be fair, Fury is out of the game. He walked away from the life. He only got the Helicarrier as a favor from Coulson. Fury is technically even more dead than Coulson is. The only ones who even know Fury is alive outside of Coulson is the Avengers

I didn't really get what was the deal with the Ghost Rider about?

Also no Ward makes this episode a 0/10 to me >:(

The Rider will help Coulson but only if Coulson forfeits the alien tech that is keeping him alive. He's been dead for years so he is rapidly rotting.

Ward was in the episode. He was just wearing his cthulhu face :b

Watching Episode 100. I got teary eyed during Daisy's and Coulson's conversation. Deathlok's slo-mo action was pretty cool too. Wedding was beautiful, and I didn't see the Deke twist coming. All in all I was a bit disappointed by it though, and we only got to see Hive and Lash for like a split-second, when the promo had made it seem like a bigger deal.

Lol @ Coulson's "Let's hurry up before this forest collapses around us" line. Saying exactly what I was thinking haha.

It boggles my mind that people can still hate this show but 90% of them are probably just trolls who gave up in season 1.

I think part of it is that this show still holds to 22-episode seasons. For a serialized show, that's really long - especially with Netflix and Hulu originals changing the expectation of serialized shows to being only 10-13 episodes long.

I think it worked better in Season 4 because of the 3-pod approach but, naturally, 22-episode seasons prevent people from catching back up on Netflix because it's so many hours of TV to get through.

So does Coulson need more Kree blood to survive now I guess? Seems like a good set up for the Shield guys to decide to signal some Kree to get him what he needs, leading to that footage of Daisy storming out of the plane we saw a while ago as she won't like that plan at all. Would also explain future Yoyo's "Let Coulson die." line too.

Probably been theorised already I guess.

I think whatever equipment and science they had to make GH.325 was lost when they destroyed the place it was stored? It wasn't just Kree Blood (I think?). Although Raina managed to replicate it.

I guess that theory does make sense and what you mention doesn't really matter, since they know that Kasius and his people do.

This ep was a crazy, emotional ride. The fact they they legitimately made me question if the whole show has been a dream is amazing. It's also baffling that Ward wasn't in this ep I was really hoping he'd show up
