Yea, I'm not sure how having Hisoka, the princes, the hunters, the Kakin army, and the Troupe all in the same area plays out for an extended period. All of them on the same floor is a powderkeg.
i seriously hope the spiders chase hisoka all the way to the dark continent. perhaps hisoka manages to take a few of them down and that only makes them want to chase him wherever he goes even more. i know its a long shot but if the spiders start a big enough stink the hunter association might end up going after them too. i want to see how the zodiacs would deal with the spiders. maybe even see ging in action as well.
The first two minutes that the Spiders spend on the first deck are going to take 20 years in real time.

Funnily enough, the real dictator (Diego), survived Meruem, the Ants only killed a double.
It's a another way for Togashi to show how crafty humans > powerful Ants.
I have read on reddit the theory about Neon´s death and i like it the most. Chrollo´s ability does not only steal their nen but also life force. The more Chrollo uses the ability the less life force the person that nen was stolen from has, until it drains their entire life force. Chrollo does not know about this side effect.
I'm rooting for the clown, he has to survive, Killua and Gon (boy he's gonna said to hear Gon can't use Nen anymore) haven't matured yet.
Why theorize something that elaborate for two men fucking?
The battle of three specialists. For the first time we might watch a battle between 2 specialists. There are 3 known specialists on the boat so I expect the battle between specialists to be a bit different and more interesting than other battles.
Especially when he could have just hired Illumi no need for a nen unless Illumi really likes Hisoka because Hisoka wanted to fight and kill illumi ages ago

But the reason Kortopi and Shalnark died was because Hisoka cut them up, not because they lost their life force.
In terms of how safe they are imo:
1) Chrollo - Seems a bit cliche but I see him sticking around for Gyro/Meteor city stuff.
2) Illumi - Could be interchangeable with no1.He isn't dying. Killua's literally the no2 of the series, the Sasuke or Byakgou in terms of consistent relevance. That whole conflict/plot with his family has been building since the debut and hasn't slowed nor been resolved. If anything it's growing. Illumi's gonna be a big part of that for when shit really hits the fan when it comes to the Zoldycks.
3) Machi - A safe third. I just feel like she's gonna have some hand to play in Hisoka's ultimate demise and that she'll be one of the few if not the only surviving original Troupe members.
4) Kalluto - Similar to Illumi but to a lesser extent. He isn't as crucial to Killua's unresolved arc... well as far as we know. We just don't know much about Kalluto, period. However, that's exactly the reason why I'm putting him this high. I'm sure we'll get some more progression on "bringing his brother back" before and if he dies.
5) Nobunaga - Of all The Troupe members to fight Kurapika besides Chrollo, this guy is the most likely in my book. I feel like they'll square off at somepoint, perhaps later in the arc if they reach the first deck and therefore he's definitely surviving Hisoka. Basically, if he dies he's probably going to die to Kurapika, not Hisoka.
6/7/8) Franklin/Shizuku/Bononelov - Are completely interchangeable. Not much on these ones but the reasoning for this placement is to be taken with the following...
9/10) Feitan/Phinks - that's right, I consider these two the least safe. If you were to ask a hundred Hxh fans to rank who they think are the strongest original Troupe Members besides the leader and last second additions like Illumi, I think most people would have Phinks and Feitan as their top two in whatever order. It'd just be such a Togashi thing for the first one to die on this boat not to be someone weaker like Shizuku but one of the top-tier Spiders like Feitan or Phinks. That said, if one of them dies the other has a stronger chance of surviving. I don't think both of them will die.

Hisoka will manage to at least kill a few of them, but the most likely thing i see happening is the spiders getting involved in the prince's kerfuffle and that also resulting in fatalities without Hisoka being involved. Nen beast aren't something to fuck with,or are the spiders broken enough to just make those their play-things and instruments? I don't think so. Killua will at least have to react to their presence in some way too even if he's going to ignore them to do his job.
In the end i see almost everyone getting wiped out when they reach the dark continent anyway, it will be a huge disaster on every front and the end of the revenge plots.
if it's a really valuable power he might kidnap the people and hold them until he gets a certain job done or holds them indefinitely if it's special enough.
i'm definitely counting on that happening. things aren't going to go smoothly for either hisoka or the spiders. there is going to be a lot of unforeseen consequences if they manage to break into the first floor. hell hisoka might be on the first floor waiting for them so the shit hits the fan and he can use the chaos to start his hunt.
what do you guys think tserriednich's ability will be? i'm thinking it's going to be corpse related. he might end up with an ability similar to pitou's and he's able to use the corpses of people he killed and use their abilities as well. he might end up with a nice collection of corpses if the spiders get killed off and who knows how many other hunters as well. imagine the ending manga spread with tserrie admiring his collection and it's all the spiders plus kurapika.

I like this. I like this a lot. As cool as Feitan may be, with his miniature sun and shit, that is exactly how he deserves to die.
We don't know that for sure! We haven't really seen this man at work lol.

Granted the man is only nice to...some of the Troupe members and was going to work over Gon...so who really knows.
My theory is that the mob killed her after not being able to provide her future readings and her father probably being full of debts...Togashi kinda likes the "humans are just shitty" train of thought sometimes...
Shizuku called the book a death note but I think it was more like a bad luck thing than a real death note...

I don't think there will be much of the ryodan left if Hisoka wants that big fight with Chrollo, I also think Kalluto has a pretty big death flag on him, as Hisoka wants to piss off Illumi as well but it'll probably take some time to happen... It took me some time to catch up with the manga but I was NOT expecting Illumi in the Ryodan xD His engagement with Hisoka is so strange yet believable, I wish I didn't believe one is doomed to kill the other now... it'll be a hell of a fight if it happens though
Man... The new chapter was fucking awesome. I love anything with the PT in it. And seeing Illumi there describing his relationship with Hisoka was excellent.
Edit: Just got to the episode where Pouf and Youpi feed themselves to Meruem. The voice acting there was brilliant.

This chapter was hype hype hype! So much complex set up over the last two volumes and it's about to get... complicated? Yes please!!

I've been reading this stuff since 2009 I think, since he started doing long hiatus it's been really rare having more than 10 chapters published in a row... I'd bet we'll have 3 more chapters and a hiatus till the end of the year... nice thing about that is that we get a volume a year so it's a third of a regular shounen jump publication, way better than a volume every two years
I've been reading it since '03. Togashi bounced back from his last hiatus quick. He hasn't had any negative comments or tone in the Shonen Jump Authors section since he came back. I think his back is okay since he left his phone in the fridge.
But yeah, I'll appreciate 5 more chapters this year. But I think we're gonna get more.
I hope so, he came back so quickly from last hiatus it gave me hope, I'm just too cautious of that because of the longer Hiatuses we've had :s
