Yea, they couldn't come to terms on a new contract so he went to Europe. I feel like DC is a bit naked without him, he pulled the defenders' asses out of the fire a ton over the years.

It's fine to root for them, they have Miguel Herrera as a coach and he's a ton of fun to watch on the sidelines. Plus they'll probably be in the Champion's League final at the rate things seem to be shaking out, so get used to seeing them around.Watched America vs Leon last night. I really liked Club America (those jerseys are on point), did some background history, and then it turns out they're the Yankees of Liga MX, so I'm not allowed to root for them.
I love RBNY twitter. Like 10 minutes after finding out that Xolos is in the US we figure out exactly where they're staying :lol
None, I am friends with the guys that run MetroFanTV though. I do feel bad for not going over and yelling drunkenly.
The annual Campeones Cup will pit the reigning champions of Liga MX and MLS to crown the best club in North America. The 2018 Campeones Cup will be hosted by reigning MLS Cup champion Toronto FC, on September 19, 2018 at BMO Field in Toronto. Liga MX's representative will be decided in mid-July in a Campeon de Campeones matchup between the Mexican League's two tournament champions: Apertura (Tigres UANL) and Clausura (to be played in May 2018).
In addition to Campeones Cup, the MLS-Liga MX partnership is working on additional competitions in the future, as well as additional tentpole events, including commitment for a future MLS All-Star Game presented by Target featuring the best players from both leagues facing off in an epic clash. Also, the Liga MX Under-20 teams will participate during MLS All-Star Week as the annual opponent in the MLS Homegrown Game presented by Energizer.
Tigres is in good position to advance. One goal and TFC has all the pressure on them.Norm, we need more America fans here . We got a pretty good squad right now and we've yet to lose a match this season. Shouldve watched the Chivas vs. America game. That was a good one.
As for today's matches, I can't see Xolos overcoming the 2-0 deficit and Tigres might stun Toronto. Should be fun though.
Cool news on on the MLS/Liga MX crosscompetitions. Makes a ton of sense
The all star game makes all the sense in the world. The friendly match between the two champs is going to be a farce, MLS teams are going to play BTeams because their managers are smart and aren't going to risk anyone for a meaningless game.

I only have room for one Liga MX team and I'm still debating. Xolos are my "local" team since I'm in LA (been running a Football Manager save with them) but I like backing winners (I'm also a Man Utd supporter so former winners too) and if not the Xolos, will only root for a team in the DF, since I'm more likely to go revisit there than any other place in Mexico.Norm, we need more America fans here . He really is the goddamned truth. We'll be lucky if he stays til the end of the year at this rate.
Davis is out on yellow accumulation, we really do look noticeably worse without him. That carries over from last year as well. He just fits out system to a T.1-1 at halftime.
Two questions for NYRB fans:
Where is Sean Davis
What do you think of Muyl
