May edition appears in April. This is the April edition. And yes, this is really confusing.
All magazines are dated like that. It's when they're supposed to be taken off the shelf.
In Japan or worldwide? Where I live they just appear with the date of the edition.
(Serious question, you might get things here like a February edition appearing on the 26th of January, but not like on the 1st.)

What a chapter. I was sad about the civilian casualties but it's so fucking satisfying watching the Survey Corp absolutely wrecking shit for once. Eren is a badass. The Ackermans are badasses. Everyone is competent.

Armin...bruhhhhh. Dude took out an entire Navy essentially. Also, I think Zeke is in on this. I'd be shocked if he wasn't. Too many visual and story clues to think otherwise. "Eren is not my enemy", the baseball glove, how easily he was taken out by Levi, etc...
It's honestly the greatest arc/genre shift I have ever read in manga. Im truely astounded.

Zeke's thoughts/motivations have been hidden thus far in the arc in a way that strongly suggests something is up w/ him.
Man, what a ride.
I really, really hope goatsayama is able to keep this level of writing until the end of the arc. You can just tell this is one of the best written manga arcs ever, and we're 50-70%? of the way through already. If this really is the last arc of the story, it's one hell of a way to end it all. A lot of what I like is that despite the cool action and the hype moments, there is a ton of intrigue

- is he on Eren's side, their team or just Eren? Or using Eren because he has a plan that is with neither faction
- What is the Colossos Titan plan, didn't they put some lights at some point?

- If Zeke is with them and Annie is helping Eren's side now, that puts Eren's team firmly in a huge advantage since they need to TKO one Titan, and one that is out of comission.. and maybe one more if suicide man wakes up and decides to defend the city..
- which to me means some bad, bad shit is about to happen. Either some crazy unexpected plan by Marlay, Zeke, or Eren just pulling a fast one and losing his mind.. Something bad is bound to happen to switch the advantage firmly in Marlay's or 3rd party's favor in the next 2-3 chapters
- There are also a ton of red flags for Jean.. mr "I can't shoot the defenseless" and have gotten away with it.. except that now there is a little girl with a rifle
It's also crazy to see how much Eren has developed. Slick Rick jumps off his Titan and immediately turns into another one, while the badass chick has run out of energy.

There's no need to do that, they just need to be in physical contact to use the Founding Titan.

I'd imagine their blood relation would make Zeke a permanent unlock... and probably allow Zeke's memories/personalty to have more of an influence, much like the royal family of Paradis keeping the founding titan under control. So, a possible sacrifice to stop Eren or at least do damage control. Especially as Levi would fuck his shit up regardless.
So any guesses on the WTF reveals for next chapter :
- I hope Eren finally eating one of the shifters. Cart or Galliard, preferably the latter.
- The reveal of the Collosal Titans new design. Should be epic. Especially if he is more powerful now.
- The Female Titan power being on Paradis side, although not necessarily in Annie. Fun joke would be Jean turning.

Man I remember how uneasy I was about the massive story shift when this arc started, but it's been non-stop amazing and the build up is really paying off. I'm STILL worried about Reiner despite his countless close calls.

The best thing about Attack on Titan is that there are now literally no good guys left anymore to cheer for. Everyone is painted grey.

He was just some guy that was part of the team, a slightly important red shirt in season 1. One of the best written gray characters in fiction onwards, you're right on the money.
My feeling is he is double crossing everyone for something. He is the likeliest final bad guy once he reveals his plan. Eren somehow #2 and shock surprise #3 whatever twist Isayama pulls.

At least he feels sorry for it. None of the other characters atm feel sorry for horrible shit they've done. Including child-killer Eren.
Perhaps Mikasa and Jean somewhat, but not Reiner level.
And yeah, Zeke is the final baddie. I hope he get's fleshed out some more.

This arc, coupled with the outstanding soundtrack and direction, will propel the anime into GOAT territory.
I mean.. Mikasa said what Eren did was irredeemable and she was crying saying it. And Jean is likely going to get killed next episode because he can't kill an enemy. It's complicated.. like life and war itself always has and will be.
