We aren't getting a new trailer tomorrow. Disney confirmed that.
It's just gonna be the old trailer dubbed.
I've always said we will get the new trailer this week, likely on Thursday/Friday.
I also hope it will be heavily GotG featured.
That's fair and I should have seen that coming, but why do you think Captain Marvel will do 1B? Not all of the things that were there for Black Panther will be there or Captain Marvel.
Inconsequential. Not all of the things that were there for Black Panther were there for other billion dollar movies. Captain Marvel has her own advantages working for her, namely that she'll be the first female superhero for the MCU to get her own outing, and that it'll lead right into Avengers 4, which will already be heavily underway with its marketing around the time her movie releases.

Unless she shows up in Avengers this year, she ain't hitting a billion. Wonder Woman took the air out of the sails of being "the first female lead superhero movie". She's also not as well known as Wonder Woman which will ding her a bit. Wonder Woman also had incredible legs and I don't see Capt Marvel doing the same. I think she opens bigger than WW (like 110-115) and ends up around WW's numbers or (IMO) under a bit.
What Drafthouse is it? Times arent up for mine yet (New Mission SF).

Villains and side-characters for sure. They're including the likes of Wong, Korg, M'Baku, etc.
Hopefully the times go up in advance for me. It's hard to coordinate the best times when tickets are on sale.
Cap Marvel is going to be amazing for the fact that we're going to get an action movie set in the 90s starring a 'young' Sam L Jackson for the entire runtime. That's just surreal to me. Even more surreal is that he won't be able to say "motherfucker" the entire time.

Captain Marvel doesn't have a comparable novelty factor, there is plenty of competition, it is stuck between two Avengers movies and I'm not quite sure if being closer to Avengers 4 will be a plus.

Honestly, y'all never learn with these movies. "She's not as well known as Wonder Woman" shouldn't be a serious argument anymore. Nobody cares. "Marvel Studios" is the only name that matters here. As for being the second female superhero instead of the first, whoop de fucking do.

For 10 years people have continually said over and over each time a marvel film is about to come out some combination of
"people are getting burnt out on super heroes movies"
"the super hero bubble is about to burst"
"no one likes or has heard of this hero therefore it will not do well"
"this hero is B or C tier"
"this movie won't do as well as this other movies previous success"
and for 10 years in a row all of these people keep being wrong. I suppose one of these days they'll be right but it isn't going to be any time soon.
I'm all in on Captain Marvel, her movie is going to be awesome and i'm excited Kevin has expressly said she is going to be the powerhouse moving forward.

and i'm stoked for them to have another hero to look up to that is actually powerful; no offense to the black widow lovers but she is lame).

Yeah. After Guardians I just assume that Feige knows better than me. Thought that was gonna flop for sure. Then they announce a magic wizard and fucking Ant-Man are coming... and I'm like yeah, okay. Y'all got this.
I know nothing about Captain Marvel, and my first gut instinct is that the film won't have the same cultural zeitgeist going for it that Black Panther had... but I'm long past doubting Marvel Studios at this point. Clearly there's a reason why Feige is in charge and I'm not.

Already had silly Entertainment Weekly ruining a joke that won't be as funny in the cinemas now. It's such a big film and people are trying to stand out so I have no doubt major outlets will try and spoil as much as they can to get notoriety and attention.
