Renault Megane RS baby.

i'm in Canada, our choices for small fun cars are VERY limited. at that price level for a new car it was literally golf tsi or a mazda 3, which to be fair are awesome fun cars...but yeah our choices are more limited. God, i don't even want to tell you about the Chevy cruze, the sales persons selling point was literally "the seats are comfortable aren't they? not like the old L benches they used decades ago" it was like "alright...." lol. Not to mention she came with me on the test drive. In contrast to the VW dealer wheres the sales person just let me take it out. I should point out both the Chevy dealer and the VW literally five minutes from me in a very affluent area of the city, so this wasn't exactly downtown Detroit where they don't know whose test driving these cars lol

Motor sports fans driving the equivalent to sit-on lawn mowers. *sad-headshake
xp

We're not allowed to go much past 70 lol.

280 Skoda and 240hp S2000 do me just fine. Tho the Skoda is getting its Steinbauer box put back in at the end of the month so its "apparently" nearer 330hp with that in.

I mean that's part of why watching Motorsport is so exciting right? If I had a fast enough car and money to take it to the track I would do it myself instead of watching it.

It's always going to be about the skill as well. And there are very few people with plenty of money and with talent to go with that.

I get my racing thrills from video games, road cars have a different purpose for me. I want convenience, comfortability, reliability, plenty of features, and a good sound system from those. I don't need to race on the road, I'm good.

I mean, the most exciting thing to me was putting a 2m long fridge in the back of my Octavia and still being able to close the boot. I like the simple things in life. Or when I packed an entire bedroom worth of stuff in it when I was helping my mate's mum move house.

I love watching Formula 1, but street cars are not for racing. In my eyes they are for transportation only. I'm not into watching Touring, because those cars were never designed to be for racing and it's just boring to me considering formula and other open wheel cars are so much faster and better.

I drive a Nissan Versa. My first new car, bought 7 years ago. Paid off, I don't mind driving it. I can't justify spending more on a car when I'm only in it to take me to work

I still hit curbing to pretend I'm saving tenths of a second off my commute lol

That's the spirit!

F1 pilots must hate driving normal cars on the streets

As far as I'm aware, they actually don't.
It might help tho, that they actually do have nice rides. Is AMuS still doing the yearly photo gallery?

Germans don't just have Autobahns, they also got a saying: 'Hubraum statt Spoiler' ;D

This. But how do you get this on a sit-on lawn mower? xD

Man, now I want to race all of you - everyone in their personal car ;P

Not joining the race in my Toyota Yaris. By the time I hit 160 km/h everyone will have already lapped me.
I drove a (2014 I think) Yaris with the 1.33 engine and it handled surpassingly well in the snow. Most cars understeer like crazy in the snow, but its rear stepped out a bit and helped rotate the car through roundabouts etc.
