A lot of really creepy comments in here, I can't believe people are defending this.
You deserved the warning.
I asked a fucking question. If you don't have answers or anything meaningful to add, nobody is interested in your lame hot takes.

Describing this "incident" as "sexual assault", given the full background, context, and aftermath, greatly cheapens and diminishes actual sexual assault. Full stop.
Let's just agree to disagree (:Describing this "incident" as "sexual assault", given the full background, context, and aftermath, greatly cheapens and diminishes actual sexual assault. Full stop.
"The kiss did result in his getting more screen time, which has helped draw attention to his music. "So in that way," he said, "I'm glad she did it because it's a great opportunity to get my music out."
When he returned home, Mr. Glaze worked through his feelings about the kiss by talking to his friends. "They agreed with me that it didn't really count," he said. "It was lip contact versus a romantic situation with someone you care about. That's what a real first kiss is."
He said he does not feel he was sexually harassed and is grateful to Ms. Perry for tweeting about him."
Right from the guy's own mouth. You all grab your pitchforks yet he is fine. Hell I got a fucking warning in this thread and all I said in the post that got the warning was that it was an innocent kiss. Yet I am basically accused of dismissing sexual assault. Great.
The age difference certainly doesn't help things in that scenario
Did she make out with him? No? Then he still had that first kiss moment. Heck, was he never kissed by his momma on lips when he was a kid or infant? First kiss and First romantic kiss should be different. Otherwise most of probably had our first kiss without even realizing it.
Pretty much sums it up, feel sorry for him if his Mother never kissed him but the dude has gone public to say it's cool.
Him saying it's cool and it being cool are not the same.
Justifying unwanted physical content seems pretty normal. He agreed with his friends that it didn't count.
He redefined kiss so that what she did didn't rob him of anything.
Bottom line, she shouldn't have done it, kissing people against their will/without permission isn't cool, and both individuals will probably be fine.
Lol are you me? I was just about to post this!I wonder if his pubic statement would change if he became successful and knew that the consequences of speaking out wouldn't derail his career.
I feel like at this stage of his career, he probably feels like he has to down play the situation regardless of how he really feels.
I don't for a minute disagree she shouldn't have done it, but there are comments saying sexual abuse when it what quite obviously was not.
Stupid, oh yeah. Sexual abuse? Well let me tell you a story about what that means...
This discussion is a trainwreck, the guy is fine, yet people are calling for the end of Katy Perry's life and career. It was a dumb stunt not some intentional sexual assault. You people need to calm down...
Poor kid, and I say this earnestly. Perry shouldn't have done that. And people making fun of him wanting his first kiss to be special should be ashamed too, attitude like that perpetuates the notion what men "should be" in order to become acceptable regardless of their choice.
Yeah, lol, it feels like out of 10 threads I read in ResetEra, at least 7 or 8 of them contains mod edits in the OP. It's like ResetEra folks need to be warned so many times in order for us to be functioning properly, hahaha.
This is disgusting and she should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I hope she at least gets fired over this, unacceptable.
Maybe the mods would have an easier job if the community stopped spamming the report button every time they read something their delicate sensibilities can't handle
No I've been thinking about this a lot lately thanks to ERA. If it's not OK for a man to do this, women should be held to the same standards.

The dude needs to lighten up.
In fact, everyone needs to lighten up.
Exactly. That's what makes the "oh please its nothing" comments seem ridiculous.
If this is all true, why is this thread even continuing? I don't get it."The kiss did result in his getting more screen time, which has helped draw attention to his music. "So in that way," he said, "I'm glad she did it because it's a great opportunity to get my music out."
