The DS version was a very poor version of it. The PS2 version is twice as good looking. The PS2 version with the original song and the DS puzzles would be flawless.
I was at the event, it was really cool! At the very end, Suda mentioned how these days it was hard for people to play the game (because it's on old hardware). That was when he announced they were going to remaster it. He also joked about releasing it in at least 10 years, lol.
It was cool because it was just after Masafumi Takada had played the Handsome Men theme and the final credits track.
I guess the clues were there, considering the Let It Die collaboration, and the killer7 talk session at the event. But man... finally, my favourite game's getting an HD remaster~~~

They are definitely doing it, but there's no set date. Just that it is a thing.
Fantastic news. Killer7 honestly doesn't need much more than a resolution bump to look great, since the game's art direction was so immaculate to begin with. FSR is welcome news, too.

I assume it'll be more like the PS2 version since it's "better", but I hope they use "Welcome to Lospass II" rather than the original version, or better yet just make a third version :P

Killer7's gameplay sucked the year the original came out. So God knows how well that game has aged.
Killer7 has to be one of the easiest remasters ever to develop for because there are almost no textures in that game lol.
I'm interested in going through FSR again. I didn't really appreciate it enough during my first and only playthrough of it when I played it on the DS.

That's good to hear. I guess Capcom finally let him do that since they own the IP.
It was and on rails shooter with bad controls, had this game released on Wii (or VR) it wouldve gotten the massive credit and recognition it deserved.
Man, how crazy is it that Killer7 is getting a remaster over... fuck, how many other Capcom games from that era. I suppose that's why it's so important for a developer to be so persistent in this day and age, as it means the difference between getting a remaster and watching code gather dust.
Yeah, it's 100% Capcom's IP. And don't worry, I'm sure that despite the history of GHM on Nintendo systems that even if it does come to Switch, they'd find a way to fuck up the release somehow.

Good thing no one's ever given a shit about the actual gameplay, because the plot's still batshit insane and gets more batshit the more you learn about it.
FSR is one of the worst games I've ever played. Killer7, for its part, is mediocre but, at least, doesn't make you scream in anger or frustration...
Hopefully in Killer7 the second "difficulty" is unlocked from the start for returning players. Also the third thing should be retained.

Yep, Capcom practically bankrolled the whole thing. Mikami was responsible for getting their support.
Is this gonna be released on the Switch? I always wanted to play Killer 7 on gamecube, but at the time It was difficult for me to find Gamecube games on my local gamestore.
If it's released on PC with mouse controls nobody would care i imagine and can focus on the way too relevant political themes. This game's idea of the American elections has been overshadowed by how stupid reality has managed to get.
That's awesome. Seeing the HD renders of Killer7 in the Grasshopper artbook from a couple years back had me hoping for this. The game is going to look incredible.

Out of nowhere. I've not played either of them but have always wanted to, so I hope they endup coming to the West. Would love to expirence them both in HD.
It kind of got one on PS3/360 but from what I recall reactions were mixed. I'd be down for a Switch Collection of 1 and 2 though.
