I actually think the song that plays when Whis is talking about what achieving Ultra Instinct is like during episode 129 would have been a better fit.

I feel like it's over the top and cheesy for me because I've heard it so many times outside and in the Super show.
I feel that it only works for properties you're not supposed to take seriously. It's fine for DBS, but keep that far away from HxH.
Lol. Gear 5 is just Hisoka's brain stem encased in Bungee Gum.
They should put that Nen powered brain stem into a giant robot like in Robocop 2 or Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans.

It wasn't meant to be serious, just having some fun lol - mainly because of how many meme's and variations were made. I wondered if Hxh had any, typed hxh ultra instinct and done.

Don't worry. I just don't seem to like when people play with some of my favorite moments though or I guess cross HxH powerful stuff with DBZ cheese.

My problem isn't that HxH is serious it just it doesn't straight up work for those scenes especially Gon

it could have work for Killua but the making it sucked at it

How's Super anyway? I stopped watching after the "he's having stamina issues" and then that not meaning much the very next episode. My man Gohan still in?

For me its basically

how many more random scrubs we've just met are left till Goku finally fucking goes Ultra Instinct and beats Jiren.

Guess I'll have to catch up on it then. If Gohan's out then I need to see his new form that was teased/hyped before the tournament [I saw people hyping up some new form that wasn't UI a while ago]

You know that's mostly a joke right? Like, he still had the strongest showing he's had post-Cell Saga, but don't be expecting the world of him.

This guy's still going through the show. Reaction to 95/96.

I think 95 is one of those that gets forgotten/is underrated when it comes to the 'best episodes' discussion. Gon's 'reunion' with Kite and then Gon scaring the shit out of Morel. So good.

His reaction to Ponzu getting it was hilarious.
Watching 96 again, I realized it was very deliberate on Togashi's part to have Bonolenov be the one to kill the ant that killed Ponzu. He was given pretty much no development in Yorknew, so having him (unknowingly) avenge Ponzu made him likable immediately.

He threw a fucking planet at him.
Bonolenov's ability is very impressive, shame Hisoka apparently hard counters it.
Hisoka too OP, please nerf.
Well seeing as he has to be able to dance getting caught in Bungie Gum pretty much eliminates his powers. Same for Shizuku as we saw against Pike.
I guess this is the reason why none of the Troupe are traveling alone this arc. They know Hisoka's pretty freaking dangerous and know he'd most likely be able to pick a lot of them off 1v1. Though I don't think Hisoka's dumb enough to fight Phinks and Feitan at the same time, same for Machi and Chrollo paring up.

That's some catch, that catch-22

What if Hisoka ain't on the boat

I actually had this thought for a second when everyone was saying they need to find and kill him last chapter. Togashi's even got the readers looking for him among the bodyguards.

Man, if he ain't on that boat and everyone winds up killing each other for nothing...

Only reason I believe he's in the boat is that I'm confident his drive to murder Illumi and the troupe is bigger than his desire to troll.

Also thank you everyone for explaining the problem with Kite and the 2011 anime. That's lame, especially when he's teased in the first opening and all.

I'm willing to bet that the reward Illumi will receive if Hisoka dies isn't jenny and instead closely connected to his hunt for Nanika. Perhaps the reward will somehow aid his hunt in a significant way.

After all, it's been established that all he cares about is controlling Nanika. The last time we saw him his character's arc right now is controlling Nanika above all else, he couldn't give a flying fuck about anything else. That includes clown hunts because said clown wants a fight, unless he had a way to seriously entice Illumi into joining The Troupe and going through with this game.

That's the very last arc we saw him. Does that look like a man that cares about anything else in the world? The next question would be, how would this even work? A known and reputable translator for HXH just posted this:

the Engagement Ring/Prenup line that seem to cause a lot of arguments recently. All you need to know that are objectively true are:

  1. Both "engagement ring" and "prenuptial agreement" appeared in the Japanese text. Prenuptial agreement is written in kanji (婚前契約), whereas engagement ring is the accompanying furigana, written in katakana (エンゲージメントリング).

  2. The prenup kanji and engagement ring katakana were written inside quotation marks (" "), not corner brackets (「 」). Usually the use of the corner brackets is analogous to how we use quotation marks in English (" "), but Togashi does use the Japanese quotation marks for Nen-related phrases and names.
In other words, the Prenup/Engagement Ring phrase is written like how a Nen-ability would be. If Engagement Ring is a Nen-ability, then we have not been given enough exposition about its user/effects/other details as of right now, and we won't know until Togashi chooses to tell us. The engagement ring could be literal, but I personally doubt it because it personally makes no sense to me narrative-wise. The engagement ring could be a metaphor for how fucked up the Hisoka x Illumi relationship is, but I cannot say that with absolute certainty.

I personally believe it's just a metaphor because I still can't imagine how a Nen ability is required for the entire arrangement. Whatever it is though, the only thing you can be certain about is that nothing is certain. People who claim that "it's 100% figurative because of the quotation marks" or "it's a mistranslation" have no basis for that claim. It may be Togashi's intention to keep us speculating, but we will never "know" until he allows us to know, if he ever does.

[source]

If it's actually a Nen ability, that opens the doors on so many levels. Perhaps there's unique rewards for this agreement? However, even if it isn't... logically and at the bare minimum Illumi's existence on this boat is some way tied to his hunt for Nanika. It'd be a contradiction to Illumi's character otherwise, it's an established fact that he's steering away from the path of the assassin - I don't think he gives a damn about assassination hits anymore or even Kalluto. Only one thing matters to him now, and that's controlling Nanika. He's even willing to turn Killua, the person he loves most into a "complete" puppet, a brainless tool to get Nanika, he still thinks it'd be worth it.

Brocco li! Wow.

Really cool chapter. Didn't even occur to me that Nobunga (and now Feitan I guess) would be at somewhat of a disadvantage without their weapons. Trying to figure out this raker stuff though. Raker... Faker... Fixer... Wut

I mean... no one would probably thinking of checking Illumi right? And we havent even see Kalutto interact with Illumi there.
We can't really know if illumi isn't bluffing and hisoka hired him either... I mean, the spiders seem much weaker now so mayke is a job the zoldyck could accept by now...

......I just realized kurapika is in a boat full of spiders, >_> i can't wait for him to bump on them lol

God I completely forgot that Beyond is on that ship as well

And he kinda seems like the type who would get along with Hisoka because they are both crazy
