Convincing of what? Im confused?
I'm fairly sure Gold Hoarder and Order of Souls voyages are "complete" (i.e. removed from voyage inventory) as soon as you get the chest/skull. Of course you won't get any gold or reputation without them.
As for the disappearing ship, I think something similar happened to me. What I think happened was that I threw the anchor right as I crashed into an island at full speed, leaving my ship standing literally on the beach instead of the water. I fixed the damage, but after some time it just vanished.
Did you crash into the island where you lost your ship?
There is sometimes chestsWait, what's the point of shipwrecks? I thought there'd be treasure or something, but I can't find anything.

Happened yesterday to me. Walked outside the tavern and no ship to see (only a mermaid). Is the start a session with water on board or worse a sinking boat still in? Ran into that fairly often in the alphas and betas

I'm having fun but...I keep getting cyanbeard errors every 20 minutes or so which eliminates any progress I'm making. Basically, I can't actually complete anything right now due to these blasted errors.
I've not had issues like this with other online games so I'm not entirely sure what's going on here.

Your connection to Xbox Live and/or the Sea of Thieves services has been disrupted or lost. Please check your console's network status via the Settings > Network menu.
Naw, ships won't move with the anchor down. Would be a pain raising sails every stop if it did.In regards to boats disappearing - make sure sail is up as well as putting down anchor as your boat will still move.
It lags like crazy in my game at the moment.
Lag is maybe the wrong word, you sometimes "beam" 1 or 2 foot around.
Indeed. Servers are prolly lagging again. My gold just went from 1300 to 0.........
I am gonna assume it doesn't matter that I'm solo now, right? You should get the earnings no matter what?
No. Delete character is a complete wipe of you character and all with it.

Yeah, I've seen that. Rebooted the system, restarted router and yet it continues. It says network is fine and, if I'm on voice chat over Xbox Live, THAT connection remains active - so I don't lose contact with my party. It's just the game dropping on me.
Weird. People got some errors last night but mostly just log in stuff. Havent seen that one before.Yeah, I've seen that. Rebooted the system, restarted router and yet it continues. Devil's Ridge? It's a known bug as of yesterday. It's only that island though.Couldn't complete a quest because the skeleton leader just wasn't there. A crew of four spent 30 minutes on an island without success. Rare should relaunch this game sometine 2019. This is unacceptable! The game has so many problems and bugs I wonder why there isn't more backlash.

I sometimes have that, too. It's definitely an Xbox Live problem. It's also in other games if you play longer sessions. Sometimes my console simply "thinks" it loses connection to Xbox Live when in fact it doesn't. It could have something to do with a Splitter setup in front of your console and/or multiple Xbox consoles in your network. It's really annoying from time to time and I'm reporting it in the Xbox preview insider program for months already.Yeah, I've seen that. Rebooted the system, restarted router and yet it continues. Fyi, and not to excuse the bug, but the res a relatively simple fix. Sail aware (unsure required distance) and back again and it should retrigger the spawning.Couldn't complete a quest because the skeleton leader just wasn't there. Anyone knows the "value" of the different colored pigs and chicken? One of our pigs also died yesterday, during our long journey home ;( Dawn those sounds they make when they get hungry, heartbreaking...also is it possible, that different types of pigs need more/less food?
Yes, you feed them bananas.Wait you have to feed pigs? Do you need to feed them bananas or something.
Yep, its third or forth thing listed in the OP, right below the ERA club, both been great for getting crews going.
Amazing. This game is so fresh I had the best session last night, it's great to finally be able to play with freinds.
I joined a galleon with 3 of my mates, myself and one other were in the technical alpha and the other 2 had played together earlier in the day and I had kind of shown them the ropes on mixer so we all kind of knew the basics of the game.
We started out like you would, we each grabbed some quests and starting on our journey, we stopped at several islands and amassed a big haul. There were other ships on the horizon but we were scared to engage by that point and they didn't seem to be making any effort to come after us. We decided to head back and cash our rewards in and we got caught in a storm on the way back.
My God what an experience, I knew from previous experiences that the ship can sink itself in these storms but I didn't know how. I went down to the bottom deck and heard a loud pop and we sprung a leak, then another pop and another pop and we were going down quick. I called my mates to come down to help as our ship was sinking with our precious loot, there was now three of us down there and a man on the wheel and we had managed to get things relatively under under control and then I ran out of planks. I told the guy on the wheel to come down and take my place and I took the wheel, the outpost was dead ahead but I was not prepared for that the wheel and compass were spinning uncontrollably, I managed to steer us in the right direction as the storm subsided. The feeling was so great once the storm rains started to dwindle and the outpost was becoming clear. The whole thing was like something out of movie.
Yeah, this is driving me nuts. I don't think I can make progress in the game now. :(I sometimes have that, too. It's definitely an Xbox Live problem. Simply by inviting or using the Xbox friend list - Join game on his gamertag.Quick question: is there a way to join a Freind if there crew isn't full? My buddy was sailing solo on a sloop and I wanted to join him but we couldn't figure it out.
