Beautifully drawn chapter but what a tease...Damn you Miura, you really know how to draw this out...
Also, Caska better not react negatively to Guts...she has F all reason to hold any affection for Griffith anymore, but who knows...
I mean a good translation of the new chapter instead of the Korean scans.

I wonder if this will have any relevancy or if we're seeing its relevancy being at the end of the chapter?
Remember that Guts reaction to the eclipse was not particularly joyful. It's hard to know how cryptic sk was in that message, but Casca certainly needs time to mourn. To sink in everything that has happened. Just like Guts did. Whatever her reaction will be to it, its not hard to imagine that it might impact Guts future and whatever perspectives he had
so, i just read something that i can't really dismiss easily
I haven't seen people raise the possibility that Casca is remembering the Eclipse wrong. Remember the thorns around her heart in the dream. We see her approach Guts and then an extreme close-up of her eye as she sees Guts literally embodying the horrors of the eclipse, whereas the only shot of Griffith is of his destroyed version. There is no hint of what actually transpired in the Eclipse, any of the Godhand, any of the apostles and most importantly Femto. Casca might think Guts was the one who did something wrong"]

Casca ends up remembering the Eclipse wrong and thinks Guts is the villain... And then uses Becchi to summon Griffith. The way she's dressed reminds me of Griffith's stupid angel armor too...

I will say, I think the thorns are just a representation of her trauma. They put her back together sure, but they had never dealt with the underlying trauma that caused her to shatter in the first place. That's still unaddressed. Remember that Guts had a long time to work through what had happened to him and Casca, for Casca this is all fresh and new. She doesn't have the same time and distance from the event, plus it was straight up a million times worse for her.

I probably should accept at this point that Miura will never finish this manga.

That image of Casca with tears forming when they mention Guts is beautiful.
Also the contras between the Cascas was masterfully done, Miura really is in a level above the rest.

It's a shame he couldn't finish the storyline proper and get most discussion done between these characters properly, getting them ready to embark on their next voyage, before the next hiatus. But I guess this is a good of a chance to catch up this weekend I guess.
She made a small comment about it on the side, I expected her to make a bigger deal out of it.

It wasn't cheap from what it sounded like, it was just a studio and team totally out of their depth.
The movies cg/hand drawn combination wasn't bad by the third film. If they had kept on releasing films with that studio I'd have been happy. Plus the movie could get away with more.
