My whole crew.Anyone else load in with no money, not you character, and no tools?
Yep, just happened to me.Anyone else load in with no money, not you character, and no tools?
They are planning to allow any crew size to use a sloop or galleon. Hence the brig on the sloop. They have to get a use for the brig on a sloop. Maybe a capture bounty where you have to transport some pirate to an outpost have other players notified so they can either try to steal or kill the prisoner.
One of the "pirate codes" says something like "All disputes are to be handled at sea"
Rare allows me be shot on neutral ground like an outpost. I think this should be changed.
Rare said they are all being tracked, will trigger later (I think they said the achievements should be fixed as a part of the client patch early next week). So for achievements that didn't end up popping, is it like other Xbox One achievements and they'll pop eventually? Or do they have to be done again? At first I thought they only pop when you return to an outpost, since that's the only time they popped for me before, haha.
That's coming in the first big patch in three months time but who knows it they push it earlier. So i did some digging on Rare forums as i wanted to provide feedback about firing pigs/chickens out of cannons, found this:
http://crewofthieves.com/sea-of-thieves-february-13th-news-summary/
- Buying pets will be the first thing that you will be able to spend money on
- Parrot, Cat, and Monkey confirmed so far
- You will be able to fire them out of cannons
- It will fit the style of the game and be more fun and silly than cruel
- If you buy a pet other people will be able to mess around with and experience it, too
- So if you have a parrot, you will be able to pick it up and run around with it, but someone else can also pick it up and then drown with it (no worries it will come back to you)
Anyone tried this yet?

The pirate code is overall community guidelines, both in-game and out of game for the community. The intent of that one is that if you have a dispute with someone, you won't be an asshole outside of the game to them. For example, if a player steals another player's sweet loot, they won't harass them on the SoT forums, hurtful XBL messages, etc.
It doesn't literally mean that you should only fight people on the sea. While it may suck getting killed or your stuff stolen while at an outpost, there's a variety of ways you can handle that. Circle the outpost on your ship before you land. If in a crew, maybe leave someone on the ship, or go in groups so you're less likely to die in an ambush. Putting in safe zones goes against the idea of the game completely, and would really ruin the tension and feel of the game if you knew there was no way anybody could kill you when at an outpost.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a fellow galleon join us at a fort, offer to split the treasure 50/50 afterwards... and actually do that! One of the things we were splitting was gunpowder barrels so you know it took extreme effort on all our parts not to easily backstab each other by simply shooting at a barrel when each group was taking loot back to their respective piles. We even met up at the outpost afterwards to get a few achievements that required multiple crews. Wahey!

All of my achievements that didn't register at first did so a while later. I killed a guy with a blunderbuss shot to the back last night and it took almost a half-hour for it to pop up on my screen, and I didn't even know that was an achievement. Your mileage may vary, though.
apparently if 2 players do the "make friends" emote at the same time they add each other as xbox friends automatically?
has anybody done this in the wild?
They had actually gone past a point where I could make them out, like to the point where you think you see a shuobut when you look through your telescope it's just rocks. With that much cargo I would sailed around the outpost a little just to be sure that Galleon was far away. What I have done is basically think how long will it take to unload what I have and is that other ship far away enough for me to get that done. If I don't think I can, I sail around a bit until they are far off. It has worked a few times for me and worth a shot. As a solo pirate, being vigilant and overly cautious is the only way to survive and ensure you get the payout for the work you have done.
1. Ships fill with water in the rain.Did a solo run for about an hour or 2. I swear this game is trying to make me hate it.
Did a find a skull mission and my boat randomly took on water and sank. Had to leave the skull and warm back to boat then retrieve skull. While doing this i came across a message in a bottle mission to dig up a treasure chest. Did that and my boat sank again?! No enemies around. Respawn and collect my chest and skull then set off for a outpost. Get trapped in a storm for about 15 mins while frantically keeping it from sinking all the while struck by lightning.
Finally made it to the outpost and turn in my items for about 600 gold.
1. Ships fill with water in the rain.
2. Make sure your ship is not moving when you disembark. Hitting the island will make a hole.
3. Map room holes are tough to spot and hear. They make a distinct sound when water sloops in. It's a lot slower.
I do think they need to adjust some mechanics for solo players. They already make sloops fill with water at a slower rate. They also have you dig up treasure faster.
The merchant quests for sure need work. Pigs die too easy without feeding them. I had one on my ship, it died as I was looking for snakes on Wanderers Refuge.
Speaking of snakes.... they need to stay charmed longer if you are solo. Super frustrating.
I think they should lower the number of snakes tbh, I swear, I was exploring a mid-size island and there were like 10 snakes in the island, it's annoying because you need 5+ hits with a sword to kill them
The game has flaws, but I'm constantly laughing my ass off.Played 5 hours straight with my buddies tonight, this game is the definition of fun.
So I got raided while on lagoon island.
Killed x3 and the guys stole all my shit (12xchests, 6xskulls and two tea crates) and then got smashed by another galleon while I was watching from my sloop during repairs.
The other galleon saw me and came over to the island, jump onboard to raid me and asked if i just got raided by another galleon.
Told them what was stolen and they gave me three captain chests and a gold skull and set off again.
Is there gonna be a vod? Can you give a summary?Burke stream for the last 2 hours is required viewing. No lie. Raid shitshow and a tactical masterpiece.
