I think volume 4 sales are still exactly where volume 1 was. The way the new arc is it can either move super quickly to the final match or stretch it out for a while. Seems like RxL is just hanging out until one or two new series catch on.

With two of those series having anime lined up, so they probably won't go anywhere. That said since Saiki ended, so at least one of the five new series should avoid an early axe.

Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru - Volume 5 (end)

So... I really enjoyed this, and it was totally worth paying the little bit extra when I realized I needed to pick up one more volume rather than waiting to build up a more proper order (found a few things to bundle it with, too, so it wasn't thaaaaat bad). Figure it works a lot better flowing into the ending rather than leaving it hanging for a while and then coming back.

I swear, the art and reactions and everything in this series are just really, really good. And hey, it casually has an actual trans character who I'd definitely call not offensively portrayed at all really, so that's awesome too.

The big thing that bears mentioning though, is of course...

I wish the Love Lab manga updated more frequently. Looks like I'll have to learn Japanese and buy the last 3 volumes.

It's a highly prestigious award, so it's a pretty big deal. It's safe to assume you'll see a pretty sizeable sales increase because of it.

RxL even had a time skip on its firsts chapters, so I think they will try to do a short series and finish it somehow. I don't think it's bad but it's very generic and golf is not the most excitable sport...

I remember looking into what Yuto Tsukuda did before writing Soma. He wrote and drew a soccer manga called Shonen Shikku. I took one look at the art and... yeah he should be grateful he got Shun Saeki doing the art because god damn was it bad.

People not reading Ace of Diamond, terrible. It and Haikyuu!! are pushing the genre forward.

The Kodansha release of Ace of Diamond refers to runs as points which always catches me off guard. Still meaning to figure out if that is just what runs are called Japan and if it is just a direct translation.

Took me over 2 weeks but I managed to finish Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Reading process was very slow since except the dialog and the wall of text with various real life examples, I also had to read the references in the Kumeta Wiki. But overall it was worth it and one of the best and most difficult manga I've read. Satire, parody and black humour reach new heights. Ending was kinda unexpected and had not much to do with the tone of the series, but really I'd have expected any ending.

It was really informative about Japanese society and some world events. After completing it I find it now very difficult to go back reading the usual manga narratives or manga in general.

I'll check it overall because i was a fan but i'll wait until its done.

Looks like Tokyopop died before they could release vol 14/15 and Viz only released up to vol 13. The 3 chapters that would have been part of vol 16 never got a release as far as I can tell since the volume wasn't complete. I looked a bit, and the last three released chapters don't seem to be translated, with translations stopping in 2011 with volume 15.
