That was such an amazing episode Holy fuck.

The twist and resulting actions were insane but totally justified considering what Fitz has been through.

Some top tier acting and writing as always. Also the deke and Simmons reveal had my crying, such a heartfelt and well acted scene.

Shield is still one of the best shows on TV and THE best character development and writing around. Some may dismiss this show as a silly comic book show but the journey us and the characters have been on has been so diverse and had such an impact on everyone with serious and logic consequences. Comparing where they started and where they are now it's some of the most complex but rewarding relationship growth you can see.

Watched the first four episodes tonight. Hoping to blast through the whole series by the time Infinity War arrives.
Like, the first four of the entire show? You've got a ways to go, but holy hell, what a ride it'll be. Just know that once you're past Episode 10, it just gets better and better and better, until the greatness kicks in by the end of the season.

So many incredibly good and just likable actors in this show, it's crazy. I'm still hoping for another season after this, I just love all of'em so much.

Also how are they allowed to show that torture scene with all the blood on tv, it looked really nasty.

Fitz saying "I don't want to but I have to" is a nice reflection of the Doctor in S4 saying "I don't have to but I want to"

So she's pregnant. This show has no business being as good as it is now. I couldn't even say that 2 or 3 seasons ago.

Is next week starting to lead us into Infinity War? Kinda looks like it. Kinda hope so.

I'd be thrilled if that were the case, but I doubt it. I think the season will end without ever touching the film. Though that does beg the question of how they do another season if Infinity War ends on a cliffhanger, assuming they get one. They'd have to do something crazy like going to a virtual world, or traveling in time or going to another planet.

I think in this case the alien threat is the Kree rather than Thanos.

If it ends up becoming Thanos that will be hype as all hell.

I'm gonna make a guess for this season, the hydra agent was Kasias dad and the team will kill him and break the loop but it will cause Kasias to come to earth.

Not out of the realm of possibility.

So way back when it got out LMDs were going to be introduced, I thought it was opening the Pandora's box of terrible "is he the real one" or "I didn't actually die it was just an LMD" storylines. This episode thankfully seems to put the final nail in the lid of that box: Coulson surmises that Aida was the only one enabling the creation of adequately human-like LMDs, and without her the best they can do is create Hale's masked robot army.

I'm fine with this.

Just coming in here to say that I finished the 1st season, and wow. Into episode 2 of the 2nd season, and I wish Ward was not in a cell, but a grave. And Fury handing off Shield to Coulson, the guy who he kept alive despite being warned not to, and the guy who is now scribbling on the walls like Barry outta the speed force is a really bad fucking idea. This whole show is bad ideas wrapped in grief thrown in a lock box into an ocean of despair. I fucking love it.

At first when they were in the future I thought, "ah so that's how they avoid crossing with Infinity War". But now they are back in the present and I can't believe they will just ignore the biggest event in MCU history.

The Winter Soldier tie in was one of the coolest cross media things I've ever seen.

We'll see I guess

If you love it now, you'll be in heaven by the time you're caught up. Now get out of the thread till then!

How would Deke be a match with Fitz if Simmons was pregnant of another man?

The only option I can see is making his father Fitz's son, and that wouldn't make any sense after the monologue at the end.

He's saying if Gemma's pregnant by Fitz they can still split up and she can remarry another guy who likes her sandwiches, thus preserving the timeline.

What say the timeliners? It's possible the timelines are so desynced at this point that Infinity War could have already happened.

I was a little disappointing what Fitz went through last season hadn't really resonated at all this season outside of him being more badass. Oh boy! Even then I wasn't ready for last nights show.

Man, Fits and Jemma finally get married and then he tortures her. What a fucked up life.

I really hope she forgives him.

I don't care much for an Infinity War tie-in. It's just gonna be like after Age of Ultron. "Oh, remember when Ultron happened last week? We gave them a Helicarrier, so I guess we were somewhat involved.
...anyway, back to our actual plot."

And really, I'm more interested in their stories rather than them picking up the breadcrumbs from the movieverse.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck last nights episode was so good. Fitz or Jemma centric episodes are always so dope because they are 2 of the best on this show.

The writers are on point with the callbacks. Fitz's brain trauma and being inside the Framework really fucked him up.

They need to get my man to Wakanda for Shuri to fix.

It's kind of amazing that the Fitzsimmon's subplot in every season outshines the rest of the show (imo).

Not to say the rest of the show isn't great, it's just how good Iain is at acting.

So if the time loop gets broken... couldn't that result in Deke ceasing to exist? I'm not sure if that's been addressed or not.

Goddammit, Fitz!

What an episode. What an actor Iain de Caestecker is, really. He and Elizabeth Henstridge are, like, downright amazing. Plus, Deke's conversation with Jemma at the end managed to make me teary-eyed... I legit lol'd at the puke though hahahaha

So yeah, best episode of the season so far. The torture scenes were incredibly hard to watch and the plot twist could've been ridiculous or badly executed - but was neither. Testament to the series' writing quality that it makes sense considering the character's journey from S1 to this point. That's why I can't really understand why people still scoff at this show... it stopped being crappy a long, long time ago.

Goddammit, Fitz :(

The puking ruined the moment, and yet it was utterly perfect.

What an outstanding episode. Can Iain please get some consideration for an Emmy?

Best show people are sleeping on.

Great episode. Loved what they did with/to Fitz.

In that last sequence, I mistook Kree characters for zodiac signs for a second and thought they were doing a cinematic version of the Great Wheel. So I'm almost disappointed it's "only" Hydra x Krees lol.
