Worth noting the season pass edition (Gold edition) also comes to $85 instead of the hilarious $140 that EB and JB are trying to swindle.

I mean, Amazon are almost certainly selling at a heavy loss to encourage sign ups. Not that I give a fuck about JB or EB's feelings, but it's a bit unfair to expect them to eat that cost.

Retailers have zero movement on Gold Editions compared to regular releases where they can drop their cut. Amazon would be losing tons on that Gold Edition price, at least $30 per copy probably more.

You could buy the standard edition from JB for $69 and the season pass. it always costs less than a gold edition.
Gold editions have been a rip off for years since JB and most other stores not named EB sell base games for $69 or $79.

Amazon's prices there are even better. pity the cutoff for release day delivery seemed to be yesterday, but if Amazon keep doing this they will start getting more sales.

Whoa that's insane! Thanks Ruthless

Didn't even have to make a new account, the code works with existing accounts.

Just checking, not actually buying FC5.

Is there a price guide yet? I checked Press Start. I can only find $69 at JB, the BigW and Target sites are empty.

Good man, my actual price guide is over here (Shan didn't link to it in the article for some reason)

BTW Ni no Kuni 2 is amazing. Best jRPG this gen without a doubt. Wish the team would do more full on RPG's like these rather than just Yokai style stuff.

Smith, Warner and the rest covering themselves in glory yet again it seems. Ball tampering now.

If the Aussies want to complain about on-field and crowd behaviour, they should look at their own first.

Thanks, J.

Yeah. It's not a good look. I just can't understand why they did it. The basic 'need' to cheat aside, there are cameras everywhere. It's ridiculous. Who possibly thought it was worth it...? :(

Smith needs to have the captaincy taken off him and if he doesn't come clean on who this group of people agreeing to tamper with the ball are, be suspended indefinitely.

But yeah. You have to be dumb as FUCK to think you'd get away with that. Morons. Bancroft should and will cop a ban. Cricket Australia needs to come down hard and really fast before this takes off even more.

So, I'm not sure if anyone remembers my crazy neighbour story from a few pages ago (or cares), but I have an update to that story.

Here's my original post for reference:

So, crazy neighbour story time.

Every six months or so one of my neighbours from behind my house decides to complain about my dog apparently howling in the middle of the night. On Tuesday he decided to come to my door while I was working from home to abuse me about it. Called me a cunt and everything and said he was going to report me to the RSPCA. (He's a 60-something year old man by the way.)

Problem is that my dog does not howl at night. I've put recording devices out there and have asked every other neighbour if they've heard my dog howling and not a single one of them ever has. She does have a loud bark, but only barks when people come to the front door and it's never sustained or at night.

Two houses away from his house is a husky. Now if you know anything about Huskies, it's that they are prone to howling. It's in their nature. Lovely dogs, but can be annoying as shit. I've tried explaining to this idiot that it's not my dog, but he just loses his shit every time.

He sent me another message today and I told him to talk to my next door neighbour who would be the most likely to be affected if my dog was howling (and who also knows that it's the husky that is the problem). He didn't respond.

It's getting on my nerves because it's been close to two years of this shit and he's threatened to "punch me right between the eyes" and has called me every name under the sun, often while I'm at work or, like on Tuesday, on my front balcony.

Anyone else had a similar issue that can suggest a solution?

Also, please share your crazy neighbour stories. I need to feel like I'm not alone here...

Here's a message I received from my neighbour this morning:

I'm sorry that i went off at you we have just found out that it was number 4 {redacted} st after two months of sleepless night

Fucking victory!

I'm trying to be the "bigger man" here and not go "I told you so", but it's really difficult when the guy has been such an asshole.

Anyway, there is a lesson here for everyone. If you have a problem with a neighbour, it's always a good idea to be polite and address your concerns in person rather than resort to snarky anonymous letters and straight up abuse.

I love how the state of simply being Australian (Australianness? Australiality? Australitude?) confers virtue upon an object or thing, ennobling it in an indefinable, but comfortingly masculine way. You never ever hear about a positive quality being referred to as unaustralian, as though the very notion is ridiculous.

I must say the Brits are really, really enjoying the Cricket scandal. Like "we eat Marmite, voted for Brexit and have shitty weather, but did you see what ALL Australians are guilty of at the cricket."

I don't have a problem with 'unAustralian' behaviour as a negative thing. It's a harmless way to shame bad behavior, like cheating, bad sportsmanship, racism. It's also kinda rare since there's no unBritish analogue (other than it's just not cricket.'
what a callback. hit for six!
). That said, no one accused of drunken boorishness has ever seriously been labelled as UnAustralian.

Swings and roundabouts, I guess.

choodi- at the very least, the dude apologised, that's more than most people will ever get from someone abusive. Easy for me to say with no skin in the game.

Yeah, there is that I guess.

I am currently writing something up in response. I am going to accept his apology, but I am going to remind him that his behaviour was not acceptable under any circumstances and that he should remember that when he is dealing with the owners of the dog that is responsible for the howling. Hopefully that spares them some of the bullshit that I went through.

Moved to Melbourne from Perth a few months ago and goddamn the traffic here is ridiculous. If there's anytime I need to go through the city to get to my destination I feel like trains will get you there faster and much more cheaply.

Last 4-5 years, the traffic situation in Melbourne (esp peak times) has become pretty bad. Almost Sydney levels bad.

Trains and other public transport are slow and poorly connected. The city is not even close to prepared for the expected population boom it's getting.

The bigger the city the more viable public transport is (or less viable driving is). Try driving in New York or London.
Feels more like the bigger the city the longer it takes to get anywhere, period. It's not that the public transit takes less time in Melbourne relative to Perth but that the relative travel times between public transit and cars are closer in larger cities than smaller.

Anyways I'm not really driving anywhere but (I don't have a car) but it's annoying to find yourself stuck in traffic when you have a flight to catch and it takes 70 minutes to get there by a taxi where as taking the train+bus would have taken the same amount of time and would be way cheaper. I've had this happen a few times, exceptions being when I'm travelling in a direction away from the city. That seems counterintuitive to me but I guess it's just a fact of life for big city dwellers.

First day of new job today and instead of succumbing to sleep, I fought that instinct and spent an incredible couple of hours with the WipEout VR update that just dropped. If you have a PSVR, I'd say you owe it to yourself to give it a go. The sense of place, scale, speed and clarity are just so damn impressive. Cannot praise it enough, especially for a free update!

I went to an area with Bison, and they just kept moving around in a circle, so they'd continuously run in to cars on a road and then get shot and go even crazier. Then a bear joined in and 3 more trucks of baddies showed up.

Those bow n arrow + wolf guys are annoying too.

Ch 7 lost the Australian Open tennis to 9.

I wonder if this is a reaction to Cricket Australia rejecting the Channel 9 offer lastweek. Cricket was losing popularity but the ball tampering is a hit CA couldn't take with the rights up soon.

They've lost the last two years of a three year $20m deal from Magellian. Probably knock 100m off any potential rights deal at least as well.

I'm trying to finish the quest where you deliver 2 fuel tankers and I keep getting blow up by planes. The Cult are really out in force now. I kind of agree with the ACG review, it gets a little too out of control and gets in the way at times.
