Yes For question 1, don't know about 2.Infusion questions:
-If I infused a level 1 weapon, can I still upgrade it with Shard?
-If we removed infusion, do we get back the upgrade gem?
Minor complaint: After Bloodborne rolling feels so clunky. I want my sidestep back.
Thanks. Daggers sounds like they have short range. I'll stick with my Uchigatana.Yes For question 1, don't know about 2.
Dagger weapon arts is a quickstep
Oh yeah I pretty much exclusively use Ultra Greatswords or big hammers, just saying the option is there lolThanks. Daggers sounds like they have short range. I'll stick with my Uchigatana.
Ultra Greatswords sound great. I want those! You can block with them, right?Oh yeah I pretty much exclusively use Ultra Greatswords or big hammers, just saying the option is there lol
You can but they don't absorb much damage, better off just dodging or 1 handing them.Ultra Greatswords sound great. I want those! You can block with them, right?
That isn't possible sadly, but still, tower shields are in the game and might be your next best option.Okay, Ultra greatsword movesets look great. Just watched it on Youtube.
OT but I wanna play as a dwarf in Dark souls and hide behind a huge shield that's taller than my character.
Probably too heavy. Going for DEX build. I just thought the image would be amusing. That isn't possible sadly, but still, tower shields are in the game and might be your next best option.
You don't get the gem back if you de-infuse, btw.
Don't feel bad, they're all tough bosses. Maybe you can help people beat them in co-op to get their patterns down.I'm concurrently stuck on the Nameless King, Sister Friede and Lorian and Lothric :/
Is this 4 bosses at once? Holy smoke!!I'm concurrently stuck on the Nameless King, Sister Friede and Lorian and Lothric :/
I always play offline in my first playthrough, it's just annoying because I don't know if I should use an ember or not since they're limited.Don't feel bad, they're all tough bosses. Maybe you can help people beat them in co-op to get their patterns down.
Nah lol, 3 bosses but in different areas, I just can't progress any farther because I'm stuck on all of them. It's funny since I barely died to any bosses in the first half of the game and then these three are all wrecking my shit.Feel like I'm a bit under level. Only 25 by the time I killed Crystal Sage.

Go for it. There's plenty more slabs in the game.I have Vordt's great hammer upgraded to +4 and I think it's kicking major ass. Should I use my one Slab to make it +5? I think I'm going to stick with great hammers for pve, they just stagger everyone.
Yeah DS3 isn't nearly as strict with slabs as something like bloodborne is with +10 materials. Especially with the DLC you'll have more than enough.I have Vordt's great hammer upgraded to +4 and I think it's kicking major ass. Should I use my one Slab to make it +5? Yes, it is.
You should defeat Nameless and Friede, and then transition into the Ringed City (you can get to it from the Friede boss room). (I mean, you could do the final boss, but it's kind of meh when you just have to go back and still fight other stuff.)So now I can either bash my head against Friede, the Nameless King or finish the main game. Does it matter if I do ringed city and finish off ariandel before the end of the main game? Or should I just go to the final boss and then ringed city and then come back to those two bosses later?
Did I give the what nowYes, it is.

Yeah, you're not even done with the base game yet.
The game got a spurt of activity after the winter sale, and it's lasted a surprisingly long time (the game itself has never dropped out of the top 100 in concurrent players).I logged back in after a while away from the game and for some reason kept getting invaded nonstop in Church of Yorshka. I'm talking 3 invasions within a few minutes. I looked at the travel menu and there were ember symbols near the name of the area. Is this something new? Was I in a pvp zone?
Oh you have to be shitting me
Blackflame Friede was one hit away and then she got me with a magic attack that tracked the shit out of me :/

They added the indicators in one of the DLC patches; they show the relative activity in that area (when playing online).
The worst part of DS1 tbhAs difficult as it is, at least Curse does not permanently halve your HP.
It's also hard to appreciate how complex his model is (it's highly detailed, but you don't really ever get to see more than the face and hands).
Wolnir's concept art was pretty badass. It's also hard to appreciate how complex his model is (it's highly detailed, but you don't really ever get to see more than the face and hands).
I think thematic fights like that are good, but Wolnir suffers from really bizarre RNG. His AI is just all over the place (he can actually be dangerous, in the rare situation he decides to chain his moves smartly).
Yeah that seems wayyy too low to fight him lolI'm at, and this guy is such a pain. I've seriously been trying for hours and can't beat him. I can do ok for most of the fight, but his melee stuff, if it catches me, wrecks me. Or if I'm too far he blasts me with his magic. And I'm always running out stamina from dodging like a madman. It's seriously such a hassle. Maybe it's cause I'm only level 24, but I hate to level up to kill a boss. For me, it's been one of the more difficult boss fights I can remember.Aldrich
They changed course on the aura (it's just the fog that surrounds him in the fight now), but all that detail with the trapped skulls down his back is actually part of his model in the game (you just never get to see it).
How the hell? Are you constantly losing bloodstains, or what?
Wolnir's concept art was pretty badass.
By the time I got to this boss, my weapon can break the bracelets in 6-7 hits. I levelled up Endurance plenty, so that's within one combo + one more hit. I only died once from the poison, I thought it was the darkness that killed my character.

You are severely underpowered for this area/boss, so I'm not surprised you're struggling. Spend your souls, dude!
No, that's by design. I purposely don't level a lot when I play these games. I'm bummed I'm going to have to increase my levels to raise my stamina. I find the games more challenging and fun when I go at then lower level. In fact, a few of my levels that I have are kind of wasted and I could be a few levels lower. There are a few levels that are wasted from early in the game. This is my fifth souls game so I'm fairly adept at how to get through them, but this boss.... my goodness, so annoying. (I actually got him down to like 20% health the other day, I know I can beat him at my level, just don't have the time to keep spending hours playing, last time I had an opportunity to play was the day I vented on here)
Well I mean... you're just deliberately making things more difficult for yourself here. :\ If you never even level up your HP, for instance, a lot of attacks from late-game enemies and bosses will OHKO you, which will make things brutal. No, that's by design. Is there a spoiler etiquette in here?
I just got up toUntended Graves, and boy is it tripping me out. Being in the beginning again but not is so weird. And all of the same messages in Untended Graves are in Cemetary of Ash!! What's the reason everything is dark and the place is.... Different? I also like that you get to fight the first boss again except that he's way stronger. I've only tried once but he slaughtered me.
Nothing happened.Good god, From. What the fuck happened? The fight always amounts to me chasing his right arm around. It's not that I don't mind gimmick fights, it's just that they're trash in implementation.
Yes, both of you need to set the same password in the network settings. Your friend can then summon you and your stats will be somewhat debuffed.anyone know if i can play co op with a friend after ive beaten the game and hes just starting? i dont wanna start a new character, but ive done everything and hes just started.
