But what if we all misread it and while we think Casca was remembering a horrific hellscape she was actually remembering a bunch of oddly shaped candy behind Guts and is screaming because she's like "Oooooooah I just remembered I like candy a bunch. Oh hey Guts." Maybe that's what happened.

With two of those series having anime lined up, so they probably won't go anywhere. That said since Saiki ended, so at least one of the five new series should avoid an early axe.

RXL sells 30k more than Hinomaru Zumou which is being serialized since 2014 so I doubt that it's going to be cancelled. RxL is now behind both Dr Stone and Bokuben but it's still in it's average 60k

Hello everyone I've recently (as in basically since the beginning of this year) started buying a lot of physical volumes of manga and it's getting out of hand.

But I need more.

I'm caught up on Hunter x Hunter, One Punch Man, The Promised Neverland, Land of the Lustrous, Dorohedoro, Spirit Circle, My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness, Pink, other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head. I've started Vagabond, Vinland Saga, Monster, My Brother's Husband, and... also other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head. I like all of the things I just mentioned.

I'm looking for recommendations for manga released in English in physical format (that I can actually buy for non-exorbitant prices) because, I dunno, I suddenly got into it and I'm happy with this decision. Bonus if they're already finished series, or one shots, or whatever. I'm not sure I'm looking for anything in particular. Just... good stuff.

I'll start picking up Berserk and One Piece... some day. But there's a lot there... So, not yet.

Try out the first volume. You'll know if it's for you by the end of the first match, just know that it gets progressively better as it goes on.

I've read that one to completion! Loved it. I have volume one in Japanese from when I lived in Japan because I liked it so much. Even though I can't read Japanese. Oops me.

...Maybe I'll start reading it again, though.

Definitely do. It has one of my favorite moments of adolescent realization in manga history, and thankfully has an awesome bunch of secondary characters to ground itself.

Also, it's Murata so the awesome spreads just get greater.

I could possibly see that happening - but I think they'll talk it out. It won't be easy and it'll take time, but eventually Casca will get better. Surely.

She won't quite be how she originally was, but she will still slowly get better. Guts will comfort her and help her through all of the trauma.

Just get married already, the endless cycle of 'love at first sights' is going to make you unbearable to everyone in a 5 mile radius. Said last week that a time skip conclusion would feel appropriate, and that was exactly what happened. Can't say I was hugely enamoured with the handling of the final drama arc, but that aside I found their relationship to be pleasantly entertaining throughout, despite little happening in the way of actual events and the absence of any real supporting cast. Also largely appreciate the way it handled its subject matter, without glossing over the problematic nature of their romance while keeping it consistently clean.

While I was expecting the series to reach its conclusion soon, I must admit it came faster than I'd have thought. Still, no reason to needlessly prolong it, and it ended on a pretty high note. As Battleship mentioned, I have to give kudos to Ejima Eri for managing to portray an age gap romance in a decently tasteful manner.

Ko continues to be a good lead. Am glad he just quickly moved on from feeling sad and such and went to immediately helping someone to further taking out his anger against the beast. Wish we had what was motivating the beast as this was the second time it seemed like it was trying to communicate with him.

Tentacles and such at this point was a pretty cool inclusion too. Like where this is going.

Also the changing weapon (Leech) did give me a few God Eater feelings.

I guess this is alogical way for there to be battles with something beside the full Ziga monster. Still there isn't really anything in this that I'm that interested in.
Robot X Laserbeam 50
This is more of what I expected from the author of Kuroko lol. The scent trail as a visual representation of instinct works well. This is set up as technique vs instinct, which should be more compelling than power vs accuracy of the last major match. Don't know why there are even more ways the Don is rigging this now. Seems unnecessary and is really going to undermine the strength of the opponent.

Mole out of nowhere (and that reaction panel of it) was pretty good.

Still pretty shaky on this arc. Though the Emma face off is good. Guess there is more to learn about the demon culture here too.

This arc really is bottoming out. I assume that this is just further set up for the eventual Azami food reaction where his clothes pop off, but I feel like there must have been a better way to set that up.

Still has fun elements, but I would have liked something more original than templars. Surprised we might have more conventional powers this soon, but I may be misinterpreting that page. Her being the first student was a nice reveal. Hope to see this get picked up down the line.

Actually I liked this, the Rasengan into the Chakra sword was a really cool move, and I like the idea of telling Ao to be a true shinobi who managed to use his his water style jutsu at the last moment. Boruto is going places.

I cant believe the writer finds Big Bang Theory funny, though it helps me put the whole series in a new light, no wonder it has never been funny thus far.

Soma had the best panel, however, unlike the others it wasnt explained how he didnt remain clothes off like they did (also how as it selective like that, Takumi, etc).

-1 would be the total score compared to par. The chapter shows just the hole score so it should be a 3 in that box. I guess maybe in Japan the - is used as shorthand for that, but it would be a circled 3 here.

I still think Nagatoro is actually pretty fluffy, but it's fluffy in a way that's more entertaining for me because sometimes her schemes backfire so it's just a little more give-and-take but with a similar dynamic.

Yen Press keep doing it to me. They released all the volumes of Horimiya digitally (at the same time as the physical release) but for some reason the new volume today did not get a digital release.

I checked on comiXology an it appears to be showing up as a single issue? Probably best to contact them though they seem to have issues from time to time. My copies of Kiss and a white lily for my dearest girl on comiXology have mismatched spreads on every volume.

Bakemonogatari ch. 1-2

Not entirely sure how I feel about this adaptation. It does about as good a job as it can considering it has to race through so much of the content, but well, it's still an adaptation that's racing through so much of the content. Shinobu's Heart-Under-Blade backstory is randomly touched on over a few pages. I dunno about that. Oh! Great's art is pretty clean though. I remember not being wowed with the promo art for this, but it looks pretty good after all.

I think I trust White Fox to handle the darker elements. So far the only things that I'm worried about are their ability to reliably draw Goblin Slayer's armor in detail and Cow Girl's voice direction since they're using the same VAs as the audio dramas and she sounds younger than the Priestess in those. I'm also curious how they'll handle the whole thing
