Huh. Learn something new every day. From the States, so I've never heard of it.

Tokyo Dark.Have any gaming projects by Japanese developers been released and been decent?
Not great, not horrible. Here's some old data (since I'm not a writer/reviewer anymore so I haven't kept it up to date) on how the breakdown of when funds came in for more "expensive" kickstarters like this.Of course supported, I think it may make it this time with all the factors (and it's already made 10% of it's goal, which is good). It also looks a lot better than last time we saw it.
I'm pretty concerned they're asking for so much less money with no real explanation of how that's supposed to work exactly. The amount they're asking for also isn't anywhere near enough to produce the game that's being described. There really needs to be some explanation on how this is really being funded
"Last Autumn, we learned a lot thanks to our first campaign. We feel our biggest shortcoming was our inability to provide to our supporters a solid guarantee that we would complete the game no matter what.
Therefore, we decided to reboot our project only after finding a powerful partner and getting proper guarantees in order to ensure that we would be able to deliver The Good Life to you all.
By teaming up with UNTIES, the new indie game label from Sony Music Entertainment, we will now be able to plan everything from the very beginning. The schedule up to the delivery of the product, localization, quality control, and making sure everyone around the world gets to join in.
We believe that this partnership guarantees that The Good Life project will reach completion."
Backed the Early Bird PC tier.
Just really hoping there's an English dub too. Understandable there isn't one in the Kickstarter video, but I hope there's a dub in the finished product.
Does KS charge you when you make the pledge or when the campaign's over?

Nothing like that here (which I'm okay with, as the game has some focus on characters I'd rather they be of Swery and his teams vision), but the closest would be for $1,906 USD, which is to put a statue of yourself in the game.
