So you're saying you want young Coulson involved in a love triangle with Fitz and Simmons? I agree.

I hope they do get a renewed. Even if the final season.

I just need to know it up front, can't handle the will it or won't it get renewed. I've been down this road with too many shows :(

I would think that Coulson appearing in Captain Marvel would make it almost a lock for renewal.

Would love it if they send Coulson and May off to live happily ever after. Let the youngblood run shit

That Hydra World theme gets me every time. A straight up horror episode.

Also that last scene with Hale. Are we supposed to infer that the Kree are aligned with Hydra? Hydra was aligned with extraterrestrial forces, which this Confederacy seems to be? Or he was mocking her for formally being Hydra? Or Hydra adjacent?

Will be cool if Hill and/or Fury request for their help in the final after credit and we see them as some background shield agent in A4.

An on screen cameo would be nice, a line or two or dialogue even better.
Best we might get is a Quinjet arriving to pick someone up and you hear someone on screen saying "Mei, you're clear for landing."

Are you guys up for using discord for live chats during the show? Seems like it would be more suited for real time reactions, and then we can use the thread for post show discussion. We already have a server up and running but it's been inactive for a while. I can PM an invite to anyone who wants one.

Would definitely dig an invite if this is actually getting started back up again.

I was a little confused by the scene, to be honest. Hale looked uncomfortable, especially during the end, but I don't know if it was because of the general situation she was in or beccause of the Hydra stuff. They've mentioned it enough, espedcially among the 'team' she's building, to make it seem like she really is part of Hydra, but my buddy said it was odd she didn't reciprocate the salute.

I actually was listening to an aftershow podcast (which I rarely do), but they mentioned that her name was Hale.

Hale Hydra.

So it may very well have been a mocking. I mean, she says she's saving the Earth from extinction. Ivanov hates extraterrestrials. So like, I think she's joining with the Confederacy as a benefit to Earth. If that's Kassius' dad, well Earth was apparently his little pet project.

Compliance for the sake of self-preservation? In the future it had been pushed that the only reason humans aren't eliminated all together is because they can produce Inhumans.

A live discord would kill this thread. I mean, a big part of the fun is also reading the live reactions here. You would take that away from the rest of us by bringing people to a closed environment like discord. I know discord is great by itself and for fast posts, but so is this forum honestly, and I love reading the live reactions here during or after an episode.

I agree. I normally can't watch until the next morning, so I like to read through the thread at a later time and see the reactions.

Yeah, that's what I have to do for all the comic book shows since I'm west coast. I have each show's thread open and read along as the show goes to get reactions.

That scene with Fitz operating on Daisy legit has to be the most horrific scene in the entire show. Ward's torture of Bobbi was pretty bad too.

I just

I still can't get over that they brought gravitonium back into play.

Like that is one of the most rewarding things this show has done for a long time viewer.

"Hey remember that one episode from early S1? It's relevant again 5 years later in the wackiest storyline this show has produced."

What's next? Dark force?

Also, did anyone else think something special was ever going to happen with that one Inhuman? The politician's brother who got capped and thrown in the ocean? I remember them focusing on his body for a bit like something was gonna happen. He showed up during Hydra World for a minute and that was about it.

It has been so long that I had forgotten all about gravitonium, so if they hadn't picked it back up I wouldn't have minded it. Cool that they brought it back though.

yeah they still have a few suspiciously dead people they could bring back if they wanted. The mr freeze guy was wounded and fell in a pier, but all they got was a big ice cube, no body. the guy who was sucked in the gravitonium which acted strangely afterwards, the brother at the bottom of a lake whose power was to adapt, I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Blackout was blown up by stage light, but they could easily write it off and reintroduce the Darkforce (which is apparently a dimension) to make a sideways tie-in with Cloak and Dagger.

[edit] Oh and there was that ghost from a "hell dimension" from that episode everyone hates. Marvel TV sure likes their alternate dimensions, don't they? Dark Force, hell dimension, fear dimension...

Yeah the Darkforce was in AC, but I'd like to see it back here. Also the alternate limbo dimension from S1 was referenced by Fitz when they were trying to build the gateway in S4. The one that they let Aida read the Darkhold for. Ian Quinn also got referenced in "Principia" as being in the wind. The dude who could explode is also imprisoned still, yeah?

Also I'd like to see Coulson meet his cellist girlfriend one last time. Mostly so we can see more Amy Acker.

I rematches last season's ghost rider pod and they mentioned the company that was researching on Dark Force in Agent Carter. Maybe there will be an eventual, more direct link with that company. Isodyne I believe.

"Despite its low live ratings, S.H.I.E.L.D. is a strong DVR gainer and an even stronger international seller for ABC Studios, as well as a marketing platform for Marvel, which should help its renewal prospects."

There was also the ex-SHIELD agent played by Titus Welliver. They showed his hologram as leading the Watch Dogs, but then they never picked it up again and the Russian became the leader of the Watch Dogs.

I think Reed Strucker would have a problem with Coulson re-entering the picture.
I suppose it would be a shame for him if Amy left for a much better show.

I'm pretty sure he was killed. I mean the Watch Dogs are severely destabilized to the point of nonexistence anyways.

Wasn't he shown to be in a wheelchair, resulting from his injuries from, I believe, searching for Deathlok. He also was in an older Marvel One-Shot with Agent Sitwell Agent Blake
