Is anyone on PC having issues getting a co-op game to work? I try to invite my friend and it just keeps searching with nothing ever happening. We both have our settings set to accept co-op games. I can't figure it out. He'll send me invites which I receive on Uplay, but after I accept it only takes me to the Far Cry 5 title screen.

How is this even possible, the game just came out. The hell is wrong with people (so much talent). This is like an E3 scripted video.

He's got a bunch of videos for 4 and Primal too which I've been looking through, so he's been doing this for a while. Some of the shit he pulls edges into straight up Rube Goldberg territory.

Far Cry 4 was the first Far Cry game I played and it took several missions before the game clicked with me, but when it did, I really enjoyed it. It became my favorite open world game in recent memory and the main reason why I couldn't get into another well known open world game that has sold a billion units.

Far Cry 5, once again took a few missons to click but now that it has, it's an awesome game. The locale, vistas, the cult aspect, pretty much everything is enjoyable about this game.

I've knocked out 2 of the three parts but left the side missions and busy work for the end so I can have fun once the game is done.

The graphics are insane and I love the entire vibe. There is just enough of a difference that it makes it fresh compared to the previous entry while maintaining the essence of Far Cry.

I'm enjoying the perk/challenge system and the 4 Hire aspect is fun (best of all, optional). As for some issues, I've been staying off the road so I haven't experienced much of the aggressive patrol issues.

Can't wait to to get back into it.

Holy fuck that ending.

So Joseph was right all along? We really were the bad guys? God struck the world?

That's what I took from it anyway, but I'm seeing some people speculate that the explosions were nukes that the cult set up in order to induce a "collapse" themselves. Lame. I like God fucking up the world better.

Just finished John's section on hard mode. I simultaneously love and hate this game at the same time.

The Square button being the catch all action button is stupid as fuck. Several times I'm trying to loot and I switch my weapon out. When I try to do it in combat, I die.
Just recently, I'm up here trying to
open the fucking hatch so I can escape John's bunker, and my character kept switching guns out due to someone dying in front of the fucking lever. So, of course, I get shot and die.

This game can be fucking 31 flavors of bullshit during fire fights. Whether I'm running solo or with a GFH, there is a 75% chance I'm going to get taken out by some eagle eyed Peggie who spawned in the bushes somewhere I couldn't see or react to in time. Or I'll get that one Peggie who turns the tables and stealths on me with a shotgun.

But on the flip side, to me, this is FPS version of Saint's Row 2, which is my favorite game of all time. Damn near feels like the same type of structure and story flow as that game.

Fun the run around and do random shit. Fun characters, combat can be great when it's not fucking pissing me off. I've barely done some of the other stuff like flying, and I haven't unlocked the wingsuit yet, so I still got some stuff to do.

Overall I'm having a grand, albeit somewhat rage inducing, time.

Hm. I'm wondering something about the
I can't seem to enter the Veteran's Hospital he used as a base / lab / whatever. Anytime I get too close, the edges of the screen turn red and that hypnotism thing happens, then I wake up in a field. Is there any way to get into that place?

Not sure if you all ready bought it but there are some deals including the ubi store having 20% off the PC version for 100u points or what ever they are called. So if you have points all ready from playing other games it's a good way to get a deal.

Plus the deluxe version is the same price as the standard, tough it's only a few guns and a costume so no big deal

Tried doing this, and it won't let me add the coupon to my cart. Were you able to get the discount?

This game man...this game is amazing, nothing better than being in a shoot out and this song is blasting out of a pick up with these huge dj speakers strapped in the bed. It really just puts you on location there. Choir version is damn brilliant it's so fucking haunting. You're deep in cult country.

The idea that you have to talk uninterrupted to someone to get access to a quest is really driving me crazy. Hopefully Ubi will patch it because it's not my fault some idiot peggie is 200m away.

Bought this today after a friend talked me into it.

It's quite fun and all that but I'm not super into it as of yet. Just feels very standard.

DID have significantly more fun playing co-op but I am perplexed by the whole only the host player makes progress thing. Maybe that's how it has always been and you can argue the design of the game requires it or whatever...but it still really stinks and made both of us kind of not even want to put any significant time into not making any forward progress in our own campaigns.

Maybe the more I play the less I'll care about that, but on day one it really kinda sucks.

This game makes me want to move to the USA, not because of the action stuff, that's awesome too but I was talking the culture and the scenery. Boy what a fine country.

I also appreciate how this game didn't vilify conservatives and buy into that racist gun loving redneck stereotype, actually, pretty much every good guy in this game is conservative. EVERYONE in this game is a conservative.

I like that, it's a brave thing to do in this day and age.

Really enjoying my time with this game. Never played a Far Cry before this one and I'm having a blast. Not very far into it, mainly just roaming around Fall's End. Though I just did the mission where you had
to rescue Merle and hold off the cultists.

That was really fun. I haven't had too much of a problem with patrols since I have been staying off the roads but they have been passing by frequently. The frequency of wild animal attacks though is kind of annoying. While it's not a deal breaker I do hope it's something that's addressed in a patch.

Just had my first genuine disappointment occur. Been using the ARC like most since the beginning of the game and had bought the magazine upgrade, suppressor, and a sight. Just now bought the stars n stripes version of the SAME EXACT weapon and my attachments don't carry over. Please tell me I'm Im something.

Edit:just tried unequipping the attachments from the first arc and they still require me to buy them all over again. IM NOT BUYING YOUR DAMN SILVER BARS UBI!

God struck the world by way of nuclear explosions? Really? Also, what kind of god sends a messenger who uses torture, drugs, and murder to call people to salvation? Nah this motherfucker had a contingency plan for when his shit finally got kicked in. The thing I don't get is how a US Marshal can go missing and no one sends a search and rescue party after him. There's resistance people with cars, boats, planes and helicopters, and yet no one has informed the feds. Everything besides the main story is really good, but man I can't stand the story in this game.

Well to be fair, rural Montana is probably going to be mostly conservatives irl. I think it would feel inaccurate if most the good guys were liberals because you probably don't see that many except for maybe the most populated areas.

What is with the problems with this game launching and closing on the PC. Steam says the game was running over night and like double my playtime even though uplay was closed and and there was no far cry process running. It's really weird

Nuclear explosion is not the route I would've gone with. They should've gone with a series of natural disasters to make it more believable. As far as everything else goes I do agree that the story was lacking and the worst part of an otherwise great game, but I love endings like that where they go the complete opposite of what people were expecting.

Unpopular opinion: Ubisoft games are consistently great.

The past few games have been great. They started to listen to people and the criticism of their games (being super repetitive, following the same formula, etc).

AC: Origins and Far Cry 4 both shake up the formula from previous games in the series and make them feel different without copying each other.

On top of this they are one of the few publishers that still take risks with new ip's, etc.

Steam says I've played 19 hours. Uplay says I've played 12. :/

Did you see that one thread on here about publishers a few days ago? Ubisoft got the most love iirc. By a huge marging, too.
They've been doing a great job recently. That's true. But to be fair, the other choices from that list were Activision and EA.

That's far from an unpopular opinion. Besides the Crew, For Honour, and maybe the first Watch Dogs game, has Ubi released any other games this gen that had mixed receptions? Even then, those aforementioned games sold ok to good.

Hi, that is weird. I bought the digital deluxe for PC and used the code at check out. I did it all via the Uplay app. What country are you in? I'm in Aus but if you go here:
https://club.ubisoft.com/en-GB/shop-discount
Was it something like this where you used 100 U points?

Yeah, redeemed 100 U to get the discount code. Fine print says that it can't be appllied new games. Bummer. Must not work in the US .

Ah, sorry dude thought it was just a general offer. So when you go to the far cry 5 page on the Ubisoft page does it mention the 20% of any where? As it was all over the Aus site.

So, should I stick to the main mission first so I dont accidentally clear the region too fast and missed those story mission?
Don't worry about it. The only ones you should be sure to do right away are the 3 big "first" quests (1 per region). So the Falls End quest, the prison quest, and that lumber mill(?) quest. Otherwise those places liberate themselves if you progress too far.

Loving the game so far but I can't co-op with a friend on PS4. I keep getting the Trapper error when I try to join him. Any advice?

this dude is a superhero

It's unfortunate he was spotted and that thrown bat didn't do anything to the dude.

Does Boomer not get spotted by enemies?

How would Joseph have caused natural disasters to happen?

The annoying part about Faiths area (and the game in general) is you have to drive/walk away to uncover areas of the map, but while being in a helicopter it wont. Just kinda annoying.
Just get lower to the ground. You just have to be a certain distance from highlighted areas on the map.

Just beat the first area (John) and I'm struggling to find reasons to go back, past all the chaos there doesn't seem to be much to sink your teeth into. I can see this being a lot of fun in co-op but it seems that the co-op is poorly implemented judging by the comments here.

I'll push through and grab cheeseburger but I'm just constantly thinking having something like the suit powers from Crysis or all of the outsider powers from Dishonored would make this game a lot more fun given how frantic everything can get.
