Weird, hopefully they change that. Not sure why anywhere wouldn't allow it if you're a paying customer.

Cinema near me does saver Mondays too, £3 for a ticket is ideal for films I'm not too fussed on seeing day 1

Higher-end theaters offer it and have VIP sections, but run-of-the-mill places don't. A not least not in my vicinity.

I don't understand why Fox is even going forward with that.

Like surely they're in communication with Feige, right?

I think they're actually forbidden from contact with each other while the deal is in process. Of course it's not like these megacorporations actually follow the letter of the law anyways.

The Tracking Board put out a story revealing what's going on with "New Mutants."

It's got no strong producer, a misleading first trailer, and a script created by committee to blame. And now, to add into the clusterfuck, the article reveals Jon Hamm was scheduled to play Mr. Sinister before his stuff got canned.

I fucking knew that trailer wasn't going to be representative of the movie.

I don't understand why Fox is even going forward with that.

Like surely they're in communication with Feige, right?

I bet you it doesn't get released

Most US theaters these days offer it. Though for most of them, it's reserved for more deluxe options (IMAX, RPX, and so on).

What's Nightmare about?

Ask Slayven and prepare to be haunted. I'd argue that he has evolved to become at same time more creepy and less rated r with the times. I remember a Spider-Man short story with him. Here's an old panel:

Correct.

They should be the last two standing if they were on opposite sides smh

Seeding is based on Rotten tomatoes scores. Winter Soldier and Doctor Strange finished with the same 89%. Thats why its so close to Black Panther.

I didn't want my own bias to determine the seeding. I thought about just doing it in order of release, but then we'd get Black Panther vs Iron Man pretty quickly.

Civil War and GotG2 isn't as close as I thought it was gonna be.

Betting on a Comic Con reveal for the 2020 films only, while they hold off on the rest until after Avengers 4.

They have to reveal those 2020 films this year. They're all going to start filming next year, and Marvel wants to be the one to announce things.

But they'll hold off on anything else they don't have to show due to production/filming.

So it's Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, & Spider-Man next year?

Cant wait for any of the MCU movies, they've been crushing it in Phase 3.

And I'm pretty sure GotG3 is for 2020, could guess at a Doctor Strange 2 and maybe something new for the 3rd 2020 film

That poll almost broke my heart. Had to vote against Strange which is one of my favorites then Ant Man. Was worse when I saw Ant Man only had a single vote.

Earlier I got fooled because I totally forgot what day it was. Was hyped for that Hawkeye movie then realized it is Hawkeyemania.

Ya seeding is fine. It's a testament to how many MCU movies are amazing that we've already got hearts being broken over which to vote for.

The wait from Ant-Man & Wasp to Captain Marvel is gonna be a looooooooong one.

Dawg. I'm already pissed the fuck off. Infinity War gonna snatch our souls, Ant-Man & Wasp gonna provide a brief moment of levity, then add a credit scene to make us go nuts, and then nothing. For 8 months.

Feige, pls.

People will still complain about superhero fatigue tho

Right. Though, in fairness, the MCU ain't the only source of superhero films. Back half of 2018 gives us Into the Spider-Verse, Venom, Aquaman, and Incredibles 2. Not sure if I'm forgetting anything else. But yeah, the "fatigue" claim is bullshit.

So what release style is better?
May, July, Nov
Feb, May, July
March, May, July
Or a different set up.

I think May, July, Nov is my preferred, I wouldn't mind a March, July, November spacing but I doubt they'll skip a Late April/early May release.

Feb, May, July, Nov is fine. As long as we're being realistic.

When the Fox deal closes, I want one every other month.

I'm already dead.

Yes. Please. This is literally the only franchise that can pull this off.

Not to mention there's no Star Wars in December to look forward to.

Yeah, after getting used to that as a way to distract from long Marvel hiatuses, Mid-July 2018 to Mid-March 2019 is going to suuuuuuuuuuck.

Once they get FOX, they'll have to put 4 a year out. Can't leave those rebooted X-Men and FF films waiting every other year.

Year 1: 3 main line MCU + X-Men
Year 2: 3 main line MCU + FF
Year 3: 3 main line MCU + Deadpool/X-Force

Rinse and repeat. And don't forget, they could totally pull those FOX characters into the main line MCU movies as cameos as well to keep them in peoples minds so the wait between a stand alone X-Men film doesn't feel so long.

I am only excited for Into the Spider-Verse. Still no trusting the Aquaman hype.

Same, + Incredibles 2 for me.

I don't believe for a second Aquaman is gonna be any good, but I'd love to be proved wrong. Venom is all but guaranteed to be shit, though.

What is mainline MCU? If/when the Fox deal goes through, X-Men and F4 are just as mainline as anything else in the universe.

One could also just skip Ant-Man and the Wasp in the theater and watch it at home instead this November

Boy if you don't

What Marvel did last year with their releases was great, I prefer that schedule. One could also just skip Ant-Man and the Wasp in the theater and watch it at home instead this November to spread it out.

I've always been excited for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and still am, so that's gonna help. I'm gonna check out all the superhero movies in the cinema anyway, but gotta at admit I'm not the least excited about Incredibles II. When it comes to the DCEU I actually think it got a bright near-future ahead of it. And I'm hoping Aquaman will have some horror elements now that they got James Wan to do it. And Shazam is gonna be all kinds of crazy fun, and then they got Wondy 2. Venom I'm indifferent about currently. I'm bummed the Fox properties got delayed cause I was excited about both The New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix this year.
