So I just resumed playing FC3 last week and I've been enjoying it. Had it for years.
Should I stop playing 3 and get 5, or stick with 3 and get 5 later?
If you're happy with 3, why stop playing it? You can play 5 after.

Well world gets nuked either way, so neither ending is really "good". But true people of Hope County won't battling for their lives against the cult, if you just turn around at the beginning.
The endings only work if Joseph sets off the nuke in the Together ending, so in the other ending there's no nuke but the prolonged capture allows Rook to be brainwashed into killing after he/she hears the radio station that the Seeds have playing 24/7 that the Sheriff switches to in the end. The only true 'good' ending is walking away but even that isnt good because youre letting the cult get away with the atrocities taking place. It's a controversial message, no doubt.
No, those nukes are from Russians. It's start of nuclear war. It happens in every ending, it's just matter of timing.
Well that ruins any message the game had to say for me, then. Thanks for this though, wouldnt have known otherwise.
I cheated John's boss fight. I flied straight into him. It killed me, but once I load back game John was already on the ground. So I just killed in his getaway car. Easy peasy.
And it all comes to ahead at EXACTLY the right moment convenient for the drama... right...The whole game is basically set in a world on a brink of nuclear war. Hence why so many people had bunkers in their homes and why Joseph (probably) had so easy time to start his cult about "the collapse". I guess they didn't said it at beginning just so game could shock us...
Trying to catch the last few fish and Adelaide will not stop hovering 1m over the Largemouth Bass fishing area. I've dismissed her and she is just chilling above the river.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the game. I don't exactly like it either. And it all comes to ahead at EXACTLY the right moment convenient for the drama... right...
Hrm, this is really affecting my opinion of the story there that is already difficult to defend.
I still adore Jacob's ending scenario, though. Plays the redundant nature of Rooks continual capturing perfectly.
I wasnt suggesting you were. If anything Im the party defending it, but yeah, the game's story is not cut and dry in terms of EITHER defending or attacking imo. Theres stuff there both good and bad.Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the game. I don't exactly like it either.

Yes, the entire map is open and everything is available to mop up after the story is complete. When I finish the game, can I still clear any secundary quest/prepper stash I'm missing afterwards (without having to reset things with the Outpost Master), or is anything "locked out" after I complete the story portion of the game?
Yes you can. I sniped them all the time.is there a way to take out alarms from a distance (ie with a sniper rifle) like in FC3? That was the last FC game i played and i remember being able to do that but doesnt look like you can do that in 5?
hmmmm OK i guess ill have to give it a try again. Thank you
Thanks for the confirmation. :)Yes, the entire map is open and everything is available to mop up after the story is complete.
Bullet sponge enemies are infuriating. You can dump bullets into the machine gunners with heavy armor and they don't even notice them. It's like you're shooting an airsoft gun at those guys. Also it breaks the immersion they wanted to create where bears take full magazines of assault rifle bullets to kill. Game is enjoyable but I'm starting to regret my overly expensive purchase of this game tbh.
John is the first boss.
You should have missions still if that's the case. Drive around rescuing people out the back of fans, blowing up silos and delivering tankers.
On a side note.....these have been my favorite villian in a long time (Joseph and John) haven't met Jacob or Faith yet though
Just say YES
I wish they could have come up with something better for the enemy names. "Peggies" just sounds silly.
Can you not call in Nick once you leave John's territory?God damn planes are annoying in this, especially when doing side quests eg did the mission where you have to capture a live wolf for the scientist woman - managed to eventually coax the damn thing in the cage, killed the rest of the loose wolves, then the final part of the mission involves talking to said scientists lady - just then a plane decides to buzz overhead and I can't talk to her to complete the mission as she is taking pot shots at it with her gun!
F'sake!
Either look in a direction and use your left d psd, or use your binnoculars mark and hit the left d-pad, Nick is awesome like that.So i've got Nick assigned to the "left D-pad". Is there a way to order him to drop bombs on a target, or how exactly do you trigger him to act ?

Hit the Xbox button, select the game, hit quit/close the application and go back in. Fixes everythingIs there a fix for indefinite night? My brother-in-law is stuck in permanent night on the xbox. I was thinking if he joined my session maybe it would "unbug" him, but since the game doesn't save progress in multiplayer, I'm not sure if it would help. With my luck, he'll end up bugging my game.

Love Boomer but I have this thing where I can't let dogs die so I hardly bring him out. I'm always petting him. If he gets shot at I throw myself in front of the bullets. Unhealthy.
Man I don't even let him come near the action, he has yet to die, I bring him out in safe zones. I make him wait like 40 paces back but if I go down I call him over to lick my face and revive me. There are time where he is limping a little and I lose my shit lol.lol, me too. If Boomer goes down, it suddenly becomes my #1 priority to get to him, no matter what the odds. I'll run right straight into the middle of a pack of enemies. So far it's worked out okay -- we've both survived -- but I can that see my days are numbered with that sort of strategy.

I'm pretty sure the game continues even after you take down the bosses but yea, maybe someone who has finished the game can chime in.Can someone please let me know something, with no spoilers please.
I liberated two zones, and I'm approaching the end of the third zone. I have cleared all story missions so far, and almost every secundary mission and prepper stash.
When I finish the game, can I still clear any secundary quest/prepper stash I'm missing afterwards (without having to reset things with the Outpost Master), or is anything "locked out" after I complete the story portion of the game?
I just want to know what I must absolutely finish, outside of all story missions, before finishing the game. :)
I wish we could tell allies to revive each other. Seems like one of those things that would have been great as a Leadership perk.

Same with other people. When you are viewing through your binoculars or aiming down weapons sights, you press on the D-pad (left in your case) to get them to act. They will usually say something to confirm your order or tell you something like "can't do that" if they can't reach where you want them to go. If it is a target to attack, there will be a kind of icon on the intended targets head. You can do it with things like Silos and Nick will drop a bomb on them. Individual people I think he usually strafes but maybe he will bomb. For characters on the ground, they are either set to attack people you tell them to or move to a certain point on the ground when you press their D-pad direction.
Close out the game compleyoand go back in. Heard the game has bugs. I only experienced 1 in 10 hours thoughI do have many missions left to complete, but no matter how many people I save, they only give me info on missions for other regions.
I think my game might be bugged or maybe there are requirements I'm not meeting for current territory sidequest NPCs to spawn, I don't know
But who made the decision that when you rescue Boomer that he can't ride with you in your vehicle? I hope Ubi fixes that before I finish the game. And I swear I haven't seen such overpowered arrows. The enemies make it look like they got hit by a shotgun.

I made sniper girl drive once and she hit Boomer because he wanted to catch up, I hopped out the ride and shot a rocket launcher at her.
