In.

I wish there was a chart that divided by genre.

What if the secret truth is that KyoAni is just not that good?!
Well, that's been obvious from some of the projects they have chosen.

What exactly vexed you about Tamako Market and what have you read about Euphonium that makes you think it'll have a similar effect?
What vexed me was the handling of Midori, her feelings for Tamako, and how there is no resolution for her. (Well, there is resolution in that she helps Tamako find love with someone else. All the while she gets nothing, no hints of finding love for herself down the road. Which is a slap in the face to this queer woman.) From what I have read and remember from the conversations surrounding it, Sound! Euphonium has some serious queer baiting. Not to mention Yamada's next film, related to the series, Liz and the Blue Bird sounds like a tale of unrequited love involving two girls. (Going off an interview.)

Euphonium is extremely bizarre because you have to be doing it on purpose as a way of pissing people off. I'm not sure how it is in Japan, but friends don't behave the way that Kumiko and Reina do with each other here, as seen in how she literally doesn't act that way with anyone else, not even her supposed male love interest. They think they can play it up as much as they want as long as they call it "adolescence", which is how the creators think of that relationship. I have little confidence that they will be able to actually do anything worthwhile with Mizore, who is obviously in a one-sided love with Nozomi. Oddly enough, things were toned down heavily in S2 as Kumiko developed her relationship with Asuka instead while finding Reina's obsession with someone she knows basically nothing about increasing creepy.

As trashy as it is, at least Citrus tried. We just didn't get to the material where things actually became really good. Its a sad state of affairs when the all-girls version of To-Love Ru is the only real yuri in the foreseeable future until the Kase-san OVA we'll get.

Too many shows for the little amount of time I have:

Gundam Build Divers
Legend of Galactic Heroes
Lupin the III Part 5
3D Girlfriend
Juushinki Pandora
Dances with the Dragons
My Hero Academia S3
SAO Alternative
Layton Mystery Detective Agency
Cutey Honey Universe
Golden Kamuy
Last Period
Butlers
Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii
Cardfight!! Vanguard

Hopefully Butlers is trash. Last Period looks like it won't be that great either. I wanna get things down to 10 series so Summer doesn't crush me.

Hoo boy, I have heard stuff about Citrus and staying the fuck away from that. Pure lesbianism through the male gaze with rape thrown in, from the impressions I have read.

Speaking of Kase-san, I just picked up the first volume of the manga today as a pick-me-up.

My Hero Academia, Food Wars, Persona 5 this season has everything I want.

Ready for people to call MHA the new GOAT anime after this season. Pretty much guaranteed

Cute Boys doing cute things 12

Literally "Maybe Sanrio was the friends we made along the way".

Looks like the production and the animators got their stuff together so it didn't look as bad as the the other episodes (I think they even fixed some of the flashbacks). Overall the anime was pretty disappointing, after a solid start it devolved into endless melodramas one after another. It's actually amazing how much unlikable these guys are.

Wa-TAH! It's time to explore the past of the Fist of the North Star universe in Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis. The followup to the North Star prequel is coming to Crunchyroll as part of the spring 2018 anime simulcast lineup, and it all begins today, April 2 at 10:30am Pacific Time.

Damn! I've been trying my best to get through the manga before the anime airs (66 chapters in). Didn't realize it was coming out today. I'm so hyped for this. The manga has so far been great. I always love OG Kenshiro but Kasumi Kenshiro is hilarious... Way more personality.

I already invested way too much time into horse racing because of Uma Musume. What a rabbit hole this is, especially I think I just spoiled myself - oh boy.

FutureCard Buddyfight X [Batzz] Episode 50 (EngDub)
DZniSvCU8AAVTqw.jpg:small

Sakate got to fight again. The thing I like about him, which also makes him feel unique, is that it seems he's just doing these things all so he can get a comfortable position in the Chaos Control Company. I still laugh at the random line he had a few episodes back complaining about his temporary demotion to get coffee and what not for some dude in a remote branch of the company.

I was only looking forward to this final episode of Overlord but this entire season of new anime is stuffed with shows I like.

3. Kill Me Baby
Kill Me Baby is the touching story of Yasuna, a normal (?) high school girl, and Sonya, her best friend who happens to be an assassin. Unfortunately, little Sonya's trained assassin instincts often work against her and others in her daily high school life, as Yasuna's often-broken wrist can attest to. She just wanted a hug, but she ended up with a broken neck. Isn't it sad? No, it's hilarious.

Not even Yasuna's intense ninja training can prepare her for the exciting adventures in this explosive 4-panel manga adaptation.

Superb work on the thread as per usual. Thank you.

RL got to me so I've been out of the loop mostly, need to check if anythings interesting is going to air.

Its so silly and fun all the time, several steps less serious than Cardfight Vanguard, but I think it differentiates itself pretty well. I look forward to it every week.

That's cool. It's hard for me to watch dubs but I keep thinking about it 'cause the world design for this series is cool. (I am forever a thirteen year old aesthetically.) It's crazy how many card game series Japan manages to do every week lol.

A horse girl show that randomly decides it wants to be an idol show, too.

It's perfect.

I stuck with the dub because I guess I started vanguard with the dub and grew used to it, they share the same voices (and even share the same voices with BeyBlade Burst engdub).

But I did do sub buddyfight for a season because they had stopped engdubbing it for a season, liked it because they used some voice actors I liked (aoi Shouta for gaito was a huge draw)

Also prefer the dub for these because of all the rules.

Wait, there's a subbed version? Thought it was dubbed only?

Fist of the Blue Sky: Re:Genesis 1

As bad as expected, like watching a janky PS3 cutscene due tot he limited framerate. OP is smooth AF so I had hopes the show might be too. At least the history of hokuto shinken was cool af to start
