I think this is to much. I would expect a maximum of 50k.
Now you only have the PS4 sku (with xbox one).
Retailer reports indicate that Far Cry 5 has sold more than Far Cry 4, and not just in a PS4 vs. PS4 comparison:
GEO Ranking Sales, 2018 ( Mar 26 - Apr 01)

~ 1.200 stores

01/ N [PS4] Far Cry 5
02/ N [PS4] Super Robot Wars X ( with Premium Animation Song & Sound Edition)
03/ N [PSV] Super Robot Wars X ( with Premium Animation Song & Sound Edition)

04/01 [NSW] Kirby Star Allies
05/02 [PS4] Ninokuni 2 Revenant Kingdom
06/07 [PS4] Attack On Titan 2
07/ N [PS4] Shining Resonance Refrain
08/06 [NSW] Splatoon 2
09/09 [NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
10/03 [PS4] Valkyria Chronicles 4

Mr. Takafumi Muto: "Far Cry games have been increasing the number of sales each time and FarCry 5 shows a good result beyond the previous Far Cry game. PS4 / PSVita Super Robot Wars X ranked second and third. This is a sales trend of 80% compared with the previous game Super Robot Wars V. Kirby Star Allies and Ninokuni 2 Revenant Kingdom keep good performance."

Wow good to know! I'm really bad at guessing japanese sales ...

There are exceptions, but the norm is western games expand and sell more which every new entry.
While most of Japanese games decline.

I was looking at it this way. Had the Impression that every new entry sold less (expect on switch).
Awesome to see western games rise a little bit in japan.
I know one guy in japan who loves Assassins Creed games

I am just curious how many of these Switch games will reappear in the next years chart. They are all evergreens.

I think there enough retail anecdotes to expect Far Cry 4 to open closer to 100K. It's over 160pts on COMG, top on different retailer SKU lists, continues to top Amazon.co.jp chart.

Also this week I'm noticing a trend that either Switch titles will get a big bump due to the spring vacation or the other platform's games are slowing down considerably.

100k would be immense. I personally expected something around 80k. Hitting 100k in launch week can be considered a big milestone for Ubisoft in Japan.

Ubisoft has been doing well in Japan in general for the last couple of years. Far Cry has been a steady seller, but sales have been especially great with Rainbow Six Siege and The Division. After the blow Syndicate took for Assassin's Creed: Unity's fuck-up, the series seems to have recovered from it with Origins, which also sold above 100k. Things are going well for Ubisoft in Japan. (Yeah, I know, it's still a small market for them)

They also got Mario+Rabbids which is still selling a decent amount in it's 10th Week on Famitsu:
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle <SLG> (Nintendo) {2018.01.18} (¥5.980) - 3.123 / 185.280 <80-100%> (+1%)

With additional content being scheduled to release this year it shouldn't really have too much trouble surpassing 300K this year.

Siege in particular is huge for Ubisoft in Japan. The game is at 340k and it's still selling despite launching back in 2015.

I wonder where each individual sku for Labo would be on Geo's rankings

I find it weird they combine them since they're two different "games"

That's a worldwide phenomenon, which can be contributed to Ubisoft's continued support for the game. But it's still amazing to see it keeps selling, even in Japan.

You are right, Siege is big worldwide. It seems that western games with particular high (or worldwide phenomenons) sales like Minecraft, GTAV, Siege (FIFA, BF and COD to a smaller extent) are having good sales in Japan. It's also one of the reasons why i expect high sales for PUBG if and when it will launch on other platforms besides Xbone and PC.

Speaking of PUBG, how is Fortnite doing in Japan? Being on PS4 you'd think there was a bigger opportunity in the region for it. And how are they both doing on mobile?

First Experience game on a Nintendo platform. Good sign.

I still think we'll see Demon Gaze II on Switch, since now all parties are on Switch and it's not even that old. Experience is porting Death Mark as shown above. Kadokawa is bringing both God Wars and The Lost Child to Switch, and NISA is localizing the latter two and are literally nuts about Switch.

I'm only surprised it hasn't happened already.

Yeah, 100k seems quite possible. The game has hit it big in the UK (2x Far Cry 4 performance), so maybe it will have a very strong performance in Japan, too.

Sorry, but can you tell me where you read that Far Cry 5 had a x2 increase over Far Cry 4? Because i don't see any news or leak saying stuff like that.

Somewhere. I think.

Unless I'm reading the wrong post, Zhugex is saying that FC5 sold "close to double" the number he quoted (and highlighted), not double FC4 numbers.

A reminder that packaged sales no longer show the full picture anymore.

The actual total including digital sales on all platforms is close to double that.

In other words, the opening for Far Cry 5 was huge in the UK. Bigger than quite a number of AAA games.

The numbers being: Far Cry 5 (All Formats) ~ 200,000-210,000 units

(Basically, almost 400k total. Now maybe that also happens to be x2 FC4 number, I don't know, ha ha)

Somewhere. I think.
The blog is leaking.

Super Robot Taisen X - 140k (Probably combined)

I'm trying to guess Far Cry number, but I don't know.
That's the hint:

https://www.amazon.co.jp/バンダイ-BANDA...002QYNII4/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Could it be this?

Probably way too low given FC4 did 60k at launch on PS3/4, and FC5 is supposed to have sold more if retailers impressions are anything to go by.

Only Idea Factory/Compile Heart/Sting games left for Switch to become the pervert's console of choice.
It needs to get mainline Senran Kagura back first but that's only a matter of time given PS4 sales.

Really it's just Falcom and the Idea Factory hodgepodge for notable Vita pubs not yet moved to Switch. And the former is at least licensing ports.
