well you got me there, the idea of the same character dying, coming back to life, then dying again over these next two movies did not occur to me. :lol

You're also assuming the same character might die twice. For all we know Cap and Tony survive the initial decimation but one or both bite it after whatever happens to revive the casualties from the first bloodbath.

None of us actually knows what's gonna happen, which, duh, because the movie isn't out yet lol

My larger point is, I don't want to see anyone coming back to life, period. If you're going to kill off a character, commit to it; if you don't want them permanently dead, then don't kill them off. It's one thing in comics, where you can wring a year or several years worth of stories out of a temporary character death. It's another when you're only talking about 4-5 hours worth of story across two movies. It just strikes me as cheap and lame, especially for movies that are getting partly hyped up for actually (theoretically) daring to kill off anybody.

Specially for marvel that even if you want another thor or whatever you have 32 alternatives of characters that can take his place from literal characters named thor like beta ray bill and jane to valkyres and other characters with the same archetype

After watching all of the MCU films (minus Black Panther) I thought i'd share my brief opinions of them in the strange, backwards order that I saw them. It's worth noting I saw bits of nearly all of them before sitting down actually watch them, as my roommate always has some superhero stuff on in the background that I half-watched while doing something else.

Iron Man - Went to the cinema to see this after being hyped about hearing what they were planning to do with the Marvel Universe. I've never been a big comic book fan but liked the idea of all these superhero films coming together for one huge blockbuster. I liked it a lot but after seeing a clip of it more recently it does show its age compared to the newer movies.

The Incredible Hulk - Another one I saw at the cinema, didn't hate it but don't really remember anything interesting about it.

Iron Man 2 - Same as Hulk

Thor - Again, didn't hate it but this one was boring enough for me to skip Captain America and wait for the DVD release of The Avengers.

The Avengers - Great film. Loved seeing all of the characters, even ones I didn't know the back story for, come together for one big battle. I just wasn't excited about the stand alone films anymore. By the point Ultron came out I figured I wouldn't have enough knowledge of what had happened with the characters to appreciate the story as a whole, so didn't bother with it for a few years until;

The Winter Soldier - Thought this was dull. I never really found Cap to be all that interesting
Ant-Man - I'm a fan of Paul Rudd and thought he was great in this. Had some really fun action sequences.

Iron Man 3 - Liked it much more than IM2. I remember seeing a lot of hate for the Mandarin but I thought he was funny as hell, maybe that's because I went in to the film having no expectations.

Civil War - I only saw this from about half an hour in, util the end. I liked the big battle at the end but apart from that I wasn't really bothered by any of it as I didn't know why people cared about the Winter Soldier so much.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - Absolutely bloody great. This combined with seeing a photoshoot of all the stars who have appeared in the MCU over the years and hearing that Taika Waititi was directing the new Thor got me much more interested in the series.

Thor 2 - Thought that if was going to watch Ragnarok, I may as well watch this one despite hearing it was bloody awful. Maybe it was another film I went in to with super low expectations but I thought it was good. I never got all the fan love for Loki but feel like Thor 2 is his big turn from 'bad guy who might have a bit of good in him' to 'interesting anti hero'. Glad I watched it.

Doctor Strange - The worst of the phase 3 films but still bloody good. Liked the twist it had on the usual final battle against the big evil.

Spiderman - Great. It was around this point I stared appreciating that even the solo films have now got to the point that they can have a support role from another superhero and feel like a mini-avengers film.

Age of Ultron - Ok

Ragnarok - My favourite of the lot. Soundtrack, visuals, story and jokes were all fantastic. The lines 'Piss off ghost!' and 'Tony and the Gypsy' get me chuckling justing thinking about them.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Better than the first one. Drax is a treasure.

Captain America - So good. It didn't click that his friend was the Winter Soldier until he rescued him from the Hydra base and I felt the need to watch the sequels immediately after finishing the first one. Although Tony Stark is my favourite character and Ragnarok is my favourite stand-alone film, Captain America is by far the most consistent of the 3 big hero trilogies.

At this point it's fair to say i'm pretty hyped for IW

I just want to see lots of action and everyone dying and I'll be satisfied

worse case necessary is a film full of dialogue and one 8 minute action scene

FYI this is confirmed from multiple people. It's so 100% casting managers are already searching for the lead. I'll be live in an hour.

Did that just go from tomorrow morning to tonight?

Yup. Source first said in the morning, then I let them know about how a BIG trade knows about it already and I got the go ahead to push it live at 6pm tonight.

If they're casting the lead right now, does that mean it's a 2020 film? Or is this a Captain Marvel/Black Panther situation where they're getting the lead well in advance.

I am guessing Eternals, hoping for Ultimates, would be happy with either or with a big surprise.

Ego has the energy but he's still an individual person - a big brain in traffic center of the planet. He can't tap into his full power alone, but a second connection gives him twice the conduits, even if one is being harnessed by force. Why can't he use his own power to the fullest? I dunno he's fictional.

Like, plugging in two computers gives you twice the processing power. Doubling the amount of energy that goes into your computer doesn't suddenly make your computer twice as powerful.
I guess my issue is that Ego referred to Peter as a "battery." A battery is a power source. He should have said conduit or something.

Got my Avengers tickets! :D
