I need to see 2 and 3 I'm motion with the new art style, the first game feels a little light in character in comparison to the second 2.

Yeah, you'd think that after that crash announcement at the Direct this would come to switch too but oh well, I'll pass, my PS4 backlog is too big already due to the fact that I'm always travelling. Can never get too many games ported to a console I can play anywhere.
Seriously, what the hell. I'm hoping that was a trailer thing.
Looks amazing. I'm pretty glad I never played Spyro, now I get to play it when 3D JnRs are a rare thing
Wow the animations look amazing. I mean the game in stills still looked pretty good but in motion it looks completely different.
Awesome, can't wait. Now the tough decision of playing it on PS4 since it's an OG PlayStation franchise, or playing it on my One X. Hmm...
If anything, they're right in not making a Switch version right away. The people who want to play this ASAP will have no choice but to get the PS4/X1 version and a year later you can make bank with the double-dippers. Also, since Spyro has a free-roaming element to its gameplay, maybe the Switch can't handle it? Who knows.
After the Crash remaster you should let that dream go :(

Liked Spyro on PS1, but Crash was my favorite platformer those days. But now I can say this remaster makes me more happy than Crash remaster. Don't remember lots of things about Spyro games and they're like new games for me, not a remaster!

Yep, this is it. Unless the game isn't coming or is coming later due to technical reasons (which would be more than understandable), this is a gambit to exploit the enthusiast crowd. Y'know. Us.
Shame it's not coming to the Switch. I spent a lot of time traveling and in hospitals for medical reasons so it would have been nice having a childhood game with me to pass the time. Maybe I'll pick it up on PS4 later down the line.

Third party relations for Switch are leaps and bounds ahead of where they've been in the last five years. Weaker hardware, yes, but I see nothing here that couldn't be done on Switch. It's very possible a Switch version was passed over initially (perhaps when development began a couple years ago). I don't doubt Acti are either evaluating a port or working on one for a later release.
Maybe the classic soundtracks are tied to the original games that Activision doesn't control?
I'm be absolutely shocked if there isn't a Switch version eventually. I think it's probably just the same old "late port because we didn't have faith in the platform when development started, whooooops" song and dance. And, honestly, given how crowded this fall is going to be with releases, I'm fine with that.
Or maybe they're holding the announcement for a Nintendo Direct, since that seems to be in vogue now (and that's how they handled Crash).
