I never really played these games on PS1, just never gave them a chance. Would you guys say these games have aged well and are they relatively easy or can they provide some challenge here and there?

I love it when a platformer isn't necessarily terribly hard nor easy, but has some parts where there's a good challenge, like Snake Pass but also BK.
I 100%'d the first Spyro... not sure how well the original holds up, but I remember it not being a cakewalk to achieve. However, it certainly wasn't on the same level of trying to 100% the Crash games. Some of the Crash 1 and 2 time trials in the remaster were as difficult as anything I've ever done.

Please don't come in to this thread to port beg for a Switch version and then bail out.

Thank you.

Can't help but to see the remastered games of Crash and Spyro as a new fresh start... so excited the game looks soooooo good and charming and hope the next Crash and Spyro games follows the leas of the original trilogy :-)

I wonder if there will be any physical goodies with pre-orders. Still pissed I missed out on the Aku-Aku keychain from Crash.

all that are superficial points, the core of game is the same, in the end of day its the same game, you known that.

the word "remake" is much more comercial shocking than "remaster" and the market team of this industry use the second term on 99% of similar cases, its not hard to understand why, but ok, ERA >> Gaming Industry standards

Them calling it remade from the ground up in the official PR statement is a superficial point? Lest we forget
Oficial industry words >>>

I wonder if they'll patch in the Spyro demo easter egg in Crash 3 (and vice versa). That'd be nice.

Worst kept secret ever lol.

I'm soooo curious about this game.

Because I remember liking it as a kid, but hating the controls when comparing it to Mario 64. Now that the controls updated, will the level design hold up at all?

It'll be fun to see if childhood me will be elated or crushed.

Sounds good. Crash is another franchise I never really gave a chance. Man I have something to look forward to in July and September.

Gonna have to check a games releases calendar to keep up with all these announcements and budget accordingly. I got this and Spider-Man for September then, what else is coming that month?

I don't even remember much of this game 20 years later but I'm super hyped. I only specifically remember there was a secret in one of the later levels that you do by charging really fast through some tight turns and corridors to get somewhere... it took me ages to do. Wonder How I'll fare this time.

Feels like there are more posts about the Switch and port begging complaining than the game or announcement. Unpleasant thread to read.

Yay for Spyro, Nay for September release. But I'll bite on edition with figure if there will be one. Spyro is one of my first PS one games and probably one of the most memorable series for me as a kid.

But port begging isn't what's derailing the thread. It's the people who are complaining about the port begging who are derailing the thread!

Looks good. One of the only games I get 100 procent collectables on as a kid, if I remember correctly. Looking forward to doing that again.
