6 million in a fiscal year out of 28.83 million sold WW is a great result. Nintendo is expecting a slight decrease for next FY to 25.5 million but if the Pro rumors are true it's hard to imagine that will be the case. But at any rate if it can replicate it's Japanese performance it'll put it within 6-7 million of DS lifetime sales, meaning it can coast it's way to the crown.

But on a more relevant and serious note, SK really saw an increase in the Switch playerbase in a massive way. No wonder you are seeing more of an uptick in Korean support for games, like localizations and such and games coming out from there.

Now that we got the final numbers for NSW shipments (6.6mil) and it being the 2nd highest of all time only behind the monster 9.11mil from DS....

I think Nintendo predicting a WW decline is the right call. Lockdowns are becoming less frequent, schools and businesses are opening back up which means less free time. Nintendo has also fired off most of their big guns. Japan is trending in the right direction though despite that.
Remember back in 2017 when Nintendo fired all of their big guns? I also remember they did the same thing with 2018, 2019, and again in 2020! Can't wait for them to fire off those big guns in 2021 and once more in 2022 😉 😝

A bit disappointed in Bowser Fury digital sales (hoped for more) but it's still a very solid performance.
I'm expecting a lot of announcements in 2021 but less heavy hitters because of COVID. 2022 might be properly stacked though.
2022, will be a weird year. I wonder how many pubs decide to delay their games because it is too stacked?
I actually read somewhere that part of the reason they're conservative with the forecast is that they were/are expecting more competition in Japan from the PS5 this FY. Meaning, they think there may be a drop in Japan because of the PS5. That's very conservative thinking, when the exact opposite might wind up being true.
They seem to expect growth in EU and Asia.
If you look at their history of initial fiscal year projections, I would argue they have really really high expectations for this year. They usually undershoot..
China is going to be the new Japan in terms of the battlefield for devs and pubs and sales penetration.
