Nice job by the skeleton crew to win it after the disaster last night.

The Mets are... 6-1???

Been watching long enough to know I shouldn't get excited (or depressed) in April, but it's definitely fun to watch.

6-1 when neither deGrom nor Syndergaard have had their best stuff. They've come from behind, bull pen has been great. Everything is going right at the moment. They'll have to hit a rough patch at some point and we'll see how the team reacts when that happens

Ian Kennedy tossing another gem. In 2018.

Shame we're going to lose this game. Zero offense and a shameful bullpen.

Bullpen has just been unbelievably good so far. Couple that with timely hitting and you're looking at a really solid first week or so for the mets

Gotta give it up for Mickey. This is a hell of a start. Not in love with everything he's done but can't hate the results.

Royals win! We may never lose again.

Useless Ryan Lefebvre stat: KC is the fourth team in history to win their first two games 1-0. Offensive powerhouse.

Duda is all the offense we need apparently. Grimm and Boyer were kinda lucky that some plays happened like Jay's jump catch.
Herrera has looked more like his old self so far. I don't know how to feel about Hammel tomorrow though... Kennedy did good today, even if the Indians helped him a bit.

It feels like Kennedy might be on another team by July...but that contract.

If Duffy finds his way the rest of the season, he'd be the starter most teams would want. Kennedy's contract is too much for most teams I figure.
Hammel would be more likely to be taken if he comes around and pitches alright since he has just this year left, not much commitment.
Herrera is the most likely to be gone out of everybody if he keeps going like he is. Grimm bouncing back could get someone to bite.

Oh yeah, Kelvin is almost certainly gone. Even if he struggles some teams will take him as a 7-8th inning guy.

If batting gloves had laces instead of velcro do you think players would still Nomar Garciaparra every pitch?

Dammit, I'm so busy with work and school that I've only been able to catch one game so far this season. Good to see the Mets get off to a fast start.
