Didn't Ricciardo improve his time significantly while doing the same?
If you checked the video, RIC was lucky in where he encountered Sainz.

What broke my heart is that Kimi knew it's gonna happen and he was blaming the team over the radio "we did exactly what I didn't want to happen" meaning they didn't listen to his wishes

It's one thing to have #1 and #2, but it's a completely different low to sabbotage one to make the other look better

Ah well...

What the hell. Completely ridiculous. I've just watched the on-board and nobody is in Kimi's way the whole lap. The first video posted of the car positions had actually been altered because it makes it look like Sainz was in Kimi's way right at turn 8 but he was well out the way before turn 8, Kimi actually doesn't nail that corner but it's nothing to do with Sainz.

Ferrari has treated Raikkonen as an appendage to their main driver since he came back. This is also partly on him as he didn't perform like a top driver and only on occasion was quicker than Alonso or Vettel.

It looks like Raikkonen has some fire in him this season and that is great to see. In Australia he was so much quicker than Vettel that Ferrari did not pull the usual Vettel on Raikkonen undercut.

Looking at Kimi's onboard he doesn't have a huge amount to complain about. He had a clean line in every corner and even Ferrari can't dictate the pace of competitors out/in laps. He went off track after the apex of 4 - it looked quick enough but perhaps thats where he lost pace. A side by side with Seb would be interesting to see.

I think Stroll has finally arrived in a playground where personal wealth can't buy success - I fully expect Sirotkin (who I don't rate particularly highly) to destroy him this year. If Williams allow it.

Hello F1-era btw - I was a long time lurker on gaf so have been reading the posts of many of you for quite some time.

No changes to F1 as overtaking meeting fails to reach consensus

Formula 1 will not implement any changes to improve overtaking after the teams failed to reach an agreement in Bahrain.

The team principals met with the FIA in Bahrain on Saturday to discuss the sport's lack of overtaking. Motorsport's governing body put a proposal on the table that included bigger DRS flaps and less complex front wings for 2019. However, that, was rejected by the teams.
Welp.

Those F2-engines seem to be very hard to keep from stalling when starting.
Yeah, especially if you're called George Russell.

Teams are rejecting expensive design changes after one race on a track with traditionally few overtakes. Can't wait for the next meeting after Monaco!

Wouldn't it be better compare Alonso with Ricciardo? Seeing as they both have Renault power units.

Nice feature on Bobby K.

A lot of videos that have been posted in this thread are from the official F1 channel - which has ramped up good content production by quite a bit.

Just steer away from posting entire episodes of TV, or things like full Season Reviews and illegal streams or uploads of entire races. Small clips and fragments should be fine, especially since most of those are on or from the official social media now. If possible, please use those instead of re-ups.

I see ESPN is still doing commercial breaks with no commercials.

Yep, they made some good choices for their 2018 coverage, i love the paddock passes... less invasive than Ted's notebooks and fun.
