Well, it wasn't pretty but they got the job done.

These are games the Mets would have lost in years past...great start, now go win a series in Miami.

I always feel that no matter how good the Mets are and how shitty the Marlins are, it's always a tough series.

I'm gonna try to make it to the game tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

That was a hell of a game, I loved all the moves mickey made in the 9th, walking Kendrick and turner to face Taylor and severino. Terry would have lost that game pitching to trea turner for sure.

Yeah, Mickey seems to have the Midas Touch so far. Hopefully, that lasts throughout the season.

I don't even think I'd classify what he did as the Midas touch though, walking Kendrick to setup the double play with 1 out and a runner on 3rd is just common sense, but seeing that trea turner is a much better hitter than Taylor or severino and the fact that the only run that mattered was already on 3rd isn't something we're used to as Mets fans. Even if it didn't work out, you couldn't castigate him for poor strategy because on paper it's perfect, where as hoping turner strikes out or hits into a double play when he already beat out one earlier in the game is terrible logic and would be shit on rightfully so, and certainly something we would have seen from the previous coaching staff.

Just because a move is common sense doesn't mean it won't bite you in the ass. All I mean is the decisions Mickey has made have all worked out so far. That's not usually the way things go for the Mets.

At least they have the right guy on the mound tonight to give them some length after the bullpen/extra inning game last night. I hope they give Ces the night off and play the three LH hitters in the OF (probably Bruce RF, Nimmo CF, and Conforto LF) against Urena.

The Mets are really going to need both Syndergaard and deGrom to give them not only quality innings but carry the load as far as being innings eaters as well if the other three starters (until Vargas comes back) are going to be "five and fly" guys. That said having Gsellman and Lugo in the bullpen gives this team such a different feel that they have never had.

the rays sure like being out at home.
this game shouldn't be close at all but it's 5-4 (rays leading) where the rays have been out 3 times at the plate now.

$16 for a Craft Beer at Nationals Park this season.....

Edit: ok 24oz is $16 and 16oz is 12. Still too expensive. Premium Domestic Draft is now $11 for 16oz. Bud Light is still $9 for whoever wants that though.

fuck these prices

You might as well just sneak a pint in at those prices. You can be that guy who passes out before the first inning is over.

Jon Jay is up to bat for the fourth time in the game... in the fourth inning. Pretty good game, even if the Royals are facing Marco Gonzales and Casey Lawrence.

Feel sorry for Mariners fans.
