I like the concept of Agent Carter and I like Hayley Atwell and Carter's chemistry with Jarvis but I found both seasons a bit slow despite the short episode order.

The best thing to come out of Agent Carter was the dubsmash battle with AoS. The rest of the show is forgettable.

I still gotta watch agent carter S2, couldn't be arsed after the first episode and her being heartbroken because the dude she knew for a day went missing/died/got teleported to a phantom dimension or something

Agent Carter was pretty bad. I'd honestly rank both seasons next to AoS S1 as lowest tier TV Marvel (or, well, before Netflix Marvel started tanking... and Inhumans). Never quite got what people saw in it outside a decent premise and good chemistry between the cast.

First half of S1 was just absolute garbage. I will hear no defense of it. S3 was mixed, and the first half of this season was dull to OK.

S1 was forever ago, not that I agree anyways. So guess you heard a defense. S3 was good, as is this season. It's all more entertaining than Agent Carter, and I really liked that show, so... yea

AoS is the last show I'd call a slog lmao

it was awful, terrible, very doubleplus ungood.
Also, first half. It was so bad I quit the show halfway through the season.

I love season one. You needed those procedural episodes to establish the characters.

It may have not been fun to sit through but I bet if someone starts fresh right now and marathons it right now they wouldn't even notice it.

The worst part of season 1 was the completely unpredictable airing schedule, which made watching it live full of false starts and unintentional cliffhangers. There is no doubt in my mind it is half the reason AoS gets unfairly maligned as being worse than it actually is to this day.

S1 of AoS is easier to watch when you're able to watch multiple episodes at a time

IDK how I lasted through that season up to the twist

Hey did we ever find out if it Grant Ward was lying about his older brother? With the whole weird abuse thing? They seemed to leave it pretty ambiguous as to whether it was him or his older brother lying.
Been rewatching S1, and having similar thoughts. My mind had made those episodes bland, in the past. But they haven't been too bad.
They're just slow. Like, I remember re-watching S1 during the break in S2, and it's biggest offense is that it's slow. And it honestly is very slow, almost too slow in some places. It's worth every moment though.

I was going to post a big post about season three and four and not pop in at all until then, but I couldn't help it after watching S4E7. Ghost Rider Mack is the biggest tease on the fucking planet, and I would have been so ready for it. Dude's a great actor, and an unwilling host for the spirit of vegeance would have been fucking perfect. I like this version of robbie, but good lord would I have loved that version. Since I'm here, yeah season 3 was cool and all, but that Inhuman destiny bullshit grew thin. Hive Ward was completely amazing and I loved how hammy it was, but thankfully they moved on from the Hydra stuff. This darkhold plot is pretty good so far.

AoS is like Supernatural you guys. Of course I have been with SN from the start show its not the same for me, but I mean that both have very slow starts in the couple first seasons, and from season 3 once everything is grounded they just go with the flow and it works. In both shows there is a feeling that it shouldn't, but it does, so damn much. AoS is also basec on existing Marvel lore, and its not even a faithful adaptation in some ways, but its different in a very excellent way, so I'll take it.

Please tell me that these Johnny Blaze teases stay just as hints in the show. With Captain Marvel going back to the 90s, I want a Phase 4 Ghost Rider Movie with Nick Fury or Coulson involved.

Can you imagine being the showrunners, excited about what you have to show, then being told you can't do it until much later? Then having to deal with all of the breaks and interruptions (good lord those were awful)?

I'm more and more convinced that they fail to break the loop.

We will see the consequences, their deaths then their kids, finally we see the next loop start, as they teleport into the future.

Some actions change, scenes repeated but slightly different, and again they fail.

Until finally.. A loop where they don't.

If this is the last season Coulson Dies.
If not, he appears to die set events in motion then recovers via ghost rider.
This is kind of what I've been expecting too. We actually see the destruction of Earth, and a repeat of the future storyline. Maybe the second or third time through they finally break it.
I really hope this doesn't turn into the next Endless Eight.
