I wonder how many existing Switch titles will be updated to take advantage of DLSS? My guess is previous few.

HD Metroid is mind-blowing.

Nintendo should expand their top sellers list on their financials.

that data is so fascinating except not much cause it's mostly Mario. That bastard hogs all the fame.
YES! I've been wanting this for a while, they should expand it to top 20 or even top 30!

I love how Capcom - for example - shares the sales of EVERY million-seller in their history, although that'd obviously be a much greater task for Nintendo lol

the biggest question no one is asking:

Will Metroid be an E3 or summer game fest announcement?

Any thoughts/reactions about the revision news Nate ?
Most of my info was pushing to 2022 & 2021 was the lower percentage outcome. Maybe something shifted in recent weeks & is now making 2021 a more viable option. Have to remember: this isn't something we seek daily updates on.

I can investigate further in the coming days. The FY was never in doubt. Was just questionable if CY was still in play & most info had me going towards 2022.

What if nate's level of excitement is actually 20/10 but turns out the rumored 3D Mario is Sunshine 2 so he is subtracting 13 points

Well, people are getting excited over Metroid so I'd say that's pretty big

It's been said before by others well before me, but despite Metroid's historical importance, the 2D franchise faces competition stiff competition in the genre (indies and otherwise) these days. I personally doubt any Metroid is going to outshine titles like Hollow Knight or Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Looking forward to it, but yeah - expectations are not that high on my end.

We all know the Direct is going to have Metroid Prime 4, Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, Bayonetta 3, BOTW2, TPHD+WWHD+OOTHD+MMHD Legendary Collection, No More Heroes 3, F-ZERO, Star Fox Adventures 2, 2D Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong 3D game, Animal Crossing megaton update but because he knows it's all going to be there he lowers his excitement level.

Isn't it possible that what Emily is talking about is a OG Switch revision, not the Switch Pro?

Next Level Games is my ideal pick to pick up the extreme sport games, as they were known for them in the beginning with NHL Hitz Pro and Strikers, and Punch-Out Wii if that counts. I mean they were Black Box defects after all which were huge into sports stuff.

Unless NST or Vitei get to do them, but NST is still on assist duty (but doing a damn good job with it at least) and apparently Nintendo and Vitei split?

Nate, I love you

but I have to say: Sunshine's actually pretty good. It's trying a LOT and it doesn't always hit, and when it misses it MISSES, but the hits outweigh the misses by a wide margin. I get why you might not like it, before 3D All-Stars I was a fellow Sunshine hater, but after playing it? I had the most fun with Sunshine out of that whole package.

Spending quality time with Grandpa, helping him defeat Divine Beast Vah Medoh on his Nintendo Switch Lite. He's fallen in love with the game, but needs help with some of the sections, like where you (SPOILER) shoot bomb arrows at Vah Medoh's cannons. It's times like these that I will never forget.

Its outshined them before so why not again

"Zelda is historically important but there's lots of open world games, I doubt BotW will outshine The Witcher 3 or Skyrim"

Metroid is one of Nintendo's most acclaimed for a reason. And there's reasons that even if they do the exact same formula with no evolution, it'll already outshine hollow knight and ori in many ways for me

My friends I'm heading off for the night, the refreshing for E3 plans has been real but I guess it will be Thursday (today/tomorrow depending on where you live. See you on the next sunrise

In general, do you think there's still a possibility of having a regular Switch revision with an OLED screen whether or not it's what Emily is talking about? I was wondering if still considering that would be relevant at this point.
Unlikely. It was an angle worth exploration when it was discussed. It's far more likely Nintendo would just replace the current Switch with the revision, which we have also discussed.

Just because it might not be as good as those ones are does not mean that the return of one of the most influential and iconic Nintendo franchises isn't a big thing
