Just playing Devil's Advocate, Summer 2018 would be enough time for a full sequel to Smash Bros. 4

Mochi said they were all "big" titles and they will be released between Spring and Summer 2018, so that has my attention a lot more than the previous thread did.

And now we have teasing of a first party title on top of those three? Is the obvious Smash port finally going to be announced soon?

Nintendo's January 2018 Direct is gonna be nuts.

Unless I'm missing something the original article says the titles will be announced in that time frame, not released.

-Mr. Driller Collection
-PacMan 38th anniversary edition
-Sky Crawlers 2047 (set in the future)

It didn't have to be new IP right?

I wonder if Smash 4 Deluxe can make similar Waves as MK8D is making. I'd go with yes, for the same reasons I believed MK8D would do as well as it is, namely that the game is highly praised and released on the Wii U that few people owned.

I'd actually bet it's not going to be Smash 4 Deluxe, but more of a general "Smash for Nintendo Switch", which is built from Smash 4 as a base but treated as a new game rather than a deluxe game. I think it's been too long for a simple deluxe port to be acceptable, especially for a game as big as Smash.

Smash has a lot of DLC and they could throw in the Inklings as well as the 3DS content potentially. There's a lot there to make it appealing even ignoring the Wii U situation

You know what's funny.

I completely forgot about Smash Bros until you all reminded me.

Smash would be only about half a year older than MK8 was, though.

Still, I could see that being the case. The relatively small power gap between Wii U and Switch means there's not much reason to build everything from scratch as opposed to refining the Wii U style. It would probably ensure even bigger sales, too.

Guys, don't think Smash would count for this....

Nintendo treats that as a first party game that they announce

Dark souls trilogy please?

Guess this is not their decision to make since Bamco only publish the games in the West. These games are developed by FromSoftware and are even published by FromSoftware in Japan. I guess these guys are the ones to adress here. If I remember back, FromSoftware was mentioned on the sheet of developers who are currently developing for the Switch.

I think a safe bet will be a new Tales of, a port of Tekken 7 and maybe something complete new. They will obviously have nothing to do with Metroid Prime 4. If I'm wrong here, I post pics of my silk skin butt.

Tales of the Abyss HD would be my dream but I doubt it. I'd be extremely surprised if the next mainline Tales is a Switch exclusive
