If it's any consolation, I hate Han solo even more.

Just when I think you're ready to turn full heel, you go and say something lovable like this. Conflicted right now, mang.

It's amazing that this show has lasted long enough to pay off all the threads started in the earlier seasons, and for that I'm definitely thankful. Genre television like this on broadcast networks tends to die on the vine way too quickly.

So, I have one point of contention with the series: Daisy's gauntlets. So, in S2 Simmons creates sleeves that mute Daisy's powers, however they hurt her. Lincoln explains that it's because she's still producing quakes, but internally, so she's fracturing her own bones. Lincoln helps her fully assimilate her powers with his surgical acupuncture nonsense, so now the problem should be fixed.

Cut to S3, Daisy has gauntlets that apparently "help" her with her powers. Not really clear on what this is, though. There's no mention of her powers harming her anymore, so what do they do? Amplify? She has a scene later on where she manages to create an incredibly specific frequency without her gauntlets. Seems like she has a pretty good handle on her powers at that point, and I don't think she's been hurting herself anymore. At the end of the season, she's on the run without the gauntlets.

S4, we find out that her powers are hurting her again, so she's taking bone repairing drugs. This seems to be a pretty consistent throughout the season that she needs her gauntlets or else her powers hurt her.

S5, none of this seems to be an issue yet again.

Am I missing key dialogue somewhere?

That's not how I understood it. Her powers always hurt her, when she quakes stuff she also makes micro vibrations that damage her hand bones over time. The gloves were always a way to nullify these vibrations, not her powers overall. When she doesn't have the gloves, she has to use alternative medications to keep using her powers.

Only thing I think I could add, is I kind of thought some of those problems were because she was internalizing some of her powers, like "holding back." Which would cause those fractures. Maybe it's something were she stopped doing that.

But more than likely, they just wanted to move past it for time/budget. Don't think she wears the gauntlets anymore.

While that doesn't necessarily mean anything in the end, I feel like ABC would at least give AoS the same treatment as Once Upon A Time, where they announce the show is ending ahead of time and build up to that.

Though they do specifically list other shows as having "series finales" on that list.

Yeah, her powers were never "fixed."

I could have sworn during S2 that they had "fixed" her powers. Like, that whole episode where Lincoln and Jiaying guide her through the process, and then for the rest of S2 ALL the way through S3 there is no mention of it. S4 brings back the idea that they are damaging her. I actually think S5 dropped it once, where Jemma asked her if she needed her gauntlets and she said she was fine.

It could mean a number of things:

"The End" (of the series)
"The End" (of Coulson's life)
"The End" (of the Earth if the time loop isn't broken)
"The End" (of humanity because Thanos kills everybody or something)

Maybe it will air forever like supernatural
No

God no

Holy shit god no

Like, SPN S1-5 is still top tier network genre television (something that is increasing as far as show quantity goes). I will defend that to an absolute. But everything after...like S11&12 were both good, but I haven't watched S13 at all yet. Dunno if I want to, either.

If AoS does go past this season, I think six is a strong run. Unless they completely drop the ball.

Holy shit. They went full metal gear solid, this is fucking perfect. I mean it already was bonkers with Aida and the Darkhold, but that episode 15 reveal with the Framework had me screaming my ass off. Best part is they fucking led into it with fucking Ghost Rider of all people, this seasob has been balls to the walls amazing so far.

Episode 15? You mean Self-Control, the BEST EPISODE OF THE SERIES?

Makes me glad not to have to watch it live. On Amazon I get the episodes an hour before North America with no interruptions.

I screamed "MOTHERFUCKER" as soon as the SPECIAL REPORT graphic appeared. Bolton really couldn't have gotten to work any faster.

Depends on how long the annoying orange belabors his point; this isn't the 1990's where networks didn't give two shits about eyes on the screen.

It's mostly all digital at this point; which usually means if a speech / rebuttal / talking points roundtable is done in under 10-15 minutes there's a greater chance of them airing the episode in its entirety.

Full ep, looks like. Good on them.
