Now that they have finally adjusted this stupid progression system it's time for more content.
I'm genuinely happy this game being healthy and being supported by EA.
SWBF2 is one of the best things Star Wars has produced in the last 20 years, including the films.

nah. they'll just give us another Hero Ship that is the Millenium Falcon. But this time. With Lando.
I'm worried we'll get the snow-y looking planet from Solo next. If we have to play on another snow map like hoth or starkiller base or another desert map like Tatooine and jakku im gonna be a bit miffed. Time for new climates. Clone Wars and the prequels have a lot to offer for maps. Hope we get that season asap. We could honestly use a few clone wars seasons so we can get 3-4 planets from that era.
The sequels have amazing world-building. So many locations, vehicles, units, creatures and characters. There is so much potential content for Battlefront 2.

Oh, the pod races! And those old PS1 games...
The game have more content and variety than the original but it's feeling a bit barebones now that you mentioned pod races.
And why no character customization?
With the new progression I've been able to rank up my troopers so much quicker. I just maxed out the jetpack refuel time on the Rocket Trooper and it's so ridiculously fun to play. You have like a maximum wait of maybe 3 seconds between jumps and boosts, you can get around a map so quickly, and get in or out of gunfights so fast.
There already is character customization but on a very barebone level. Like changing costumes for Rey and Kylo and some other cosmetic stuff. I think they will expand on that. We need to be able to spent our credits on something ;)
Really hoping we get some info this week, at least about the April cosmetics update.

Given how easy it has been to amass credits since the progression update, I suspect the skins will be quite pricey. Like 10-20K per

In the Battlefront 2 board I read that a skin is 45.000. That seems way too much. The same post also claimed that you can already check out the skins in the menus, but I didn't find that entry. So it's probably bullshit.
I'd be fine with prices around 40-50.000, but only for really exclusive skins. All the regular shouldn't cost more than 10.000, preferably not more than 5.000
We'll see. I don't care too much about cosmetics anyways. Will lootboxes return with random skins? I really like opening them, lol.

I really hope we get a Uncharted 4 type of system. That handled the whole cosmetics thingy pretty well imo.
Would be amazing if they surprised us with news of the April patch including a new map for GA or some of the changes people have been begging them for.
If they intend to already be making a third installment seeing as EA is already "thinking" about it, I'm very curious how the past titles are going to even hold up, as the years go on, without dedicated server support/server browser as players drop off and hop onto each new installment.
I don't like Bespin. I don't know why exactly, but I think the map-layout is a bit shit. It's also too similar to Kamino which is IMO among the weaker maps.
But I'd really like to see Starfighter Assault maps above ground. Battlefront 1 had them, so we should get some in BF2, too.
They will be fine as long as there are bots. But modern DICE's refusal to implement them except in limited Arcade modes shows that will not be likely.
Getting the hang out of playing Yoda. At least one light-side-hero that's fun to play in HvV. But man they need to ban Boba Fett, it so annoying sometimes when people fly away all the fucking time ...

Very curious how many credits skins are going to cost. I feel like my sense of how much skins should be is pretty skewed given that I probably play more than anyone else here, but I don't even play every day or anything (mostly have been sucked into Fortnite) beyond daily arcade and non-Strike Challenges and I've accumulated 140k since the big update. I also think people really forget about the daily Arcade credits in general; doing it in Custom Arcade on Naboo (which loads the fastest) and instantly suiciding takes like 7 minutes for 1500 credits and I just do it while I'm eating breakfast or whatever in the morning. It's dumb but it's an easy 45k credits a month, then combined with most of the daily challenges being doable in one game (or at worst some of the play 3 games in x mode) that's usually another ~1300-2000 credits every day for ~15-40 minutes depending on if it's a 3 game challenge or not.

May have been asked and answered before already.....will the customization update allow us to pick whether we want our character to be male or female? Pretty basic stuff, and i hope that's part of it.

I am sitting on 80.000 credits and hope we get some cool costumes. What will Parts and Crystals be used for?
Parts will get converted to skill points and crystals will stay as they are because they're going to be the real money currency.
I really could use a reason to hop back in this game until GoW drops next friday. I ain't got shit to play in the meantime.

I mean Ewok Hunt sounds cool, but I want new Maps, Heroes and stuff and it doesn't seem like we will get anything of that in the next months

And yeah 40 crafting parts for 1 Skillpoint is fucking useless. You always have enough skill-points, it's the level-barrier to upgrade to violet cards that needs grinding. You should be able to convert parts into XP -_-
Not really seeing what's so disappointing? We knew this update wasn't season 2 and we knew it was going to have a bunch of new skins, which it does. The Ewok stuff is just a fun bonus.
That skin is in the game since the beta builds...
A lot of the skins that are coming are already in the game....
The game doesnt need cosmetics or terrible gamemodes.
The game needs CONTENT. 3-4 new Maps, more Weapons, more gamemodes like Conquest, a better and proper way to play with Friends etc. The list goes on and on.
And you dont get why its disappointing? The new Community Manager hyped this announcement today so much just to tell us shit.

Season 2 is confirmed for May via the community manager on Reddit. They're announcing details in early May, and since it's probably Solo themed I'd expect it the same week as the movie.
OK, cool. Could as well tell us now but I guess they need something to tease in daily Twitter updates ...
