So Stump won't be joining the new site? That's a shame.

He's taking some time off from the Internet for a while.

Personally I'm hoping that "World Series" show gets cancelled but the ratings seem pretty fantastic for Fox.

I only want it renewed if they bring back that Cleveland Indians character next season.

Just wonder why Tv Cancellation thread not on the front page, its here cheer!?!
Yeah a bit weird that it's in "Hangouts" instead of the main etc. forum.

The staff asked that we post all community OTs in the Hangout sections for now until the dust settles. Then some threads can be moved back into the main forums.

Ok, so we'll be staying in HangOuts (which they are trying to make more vibrant than community ever was). OTs for new shows should be posted in Etcetera, and the Fall TV thread will start out there as well to move in to HangOuts with its sibling later.
Hopefully this clears up any lingering questions.
How'd you jokers get back in here

How sweet it is to be back!

Also the CW's non comic shows are not doing well at all this year

Since CW has different expectations, is Dynasty okay for them or is that below what they might like?

I'm glad Highmore has guaranteed work for a while but the show is so badddd. No accounting for taste any more I guess.

It's deeply perplexing, and I wonder how it sustains, or if this is one of those shows that just completely fades off once people get tired of it. Like, there's no there there. Period. (Hey everyone. Nice to see all the familiar usernames.)

Below, but it is getting the same Netflix treatment as Riverdale so maybe that will help it. (it most likely won't)
Ah, okay. Well maybe it will get the rest of the season. I was considering telling people to check it out since I know people who watched the original Dynasty. But I haven't even checked out the show myself

"HBO is no longer proceeding with the project tied to the untitled book co-authored by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann on the 2016 Presidential election. HBO has no tolerance for sexual harassment within the company or its productions."

Good riddance on so many fronts. Who wants to relive the election?

TV-RE and TV critics hate it, but the general public seems to love it. It's like the Adam Sandler movies of network drama.

I haven't even had a chance to watch a second of this yet, but it's in my queue.

Move it up to the top of your queue. It's amazing.

Variety: Showtime to Develop 'Kingkiller Chronicle' Series From John Rogers, Lin-Manuel Miranda
Showtime is set to develop the series adaptation of "The Kingkiller Chronicle" that has been in the works at Lionsgate, the network announced Thursday.

The series will be executive produced by "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, with John Rogers serving as showrunner. Miranda will also compose music for the series, which is based on Patrick Rothfuss' bestselling contemporary fantasy trilogy. Produced by Lionsgate, the series will be executive produced by Rogers, Miranda, Rothfuss, Robert Lawrence, and Jennifer Court.

"Showtime has always championed bold storytelling," said Miranda. "Pat Rothruss' 'Kingkiller' series is some of the most exciting storytelling I have ever read. I could not be more thrilled to help bring the sights and sounds of his wondrous world of Temerant to the screen."

The series is centered on the wizard Kvothe, who survives a tragic childhood to become a notorious household name. "The Kingkiller Chronicle" series of books and novellas has sold 10 million copies, and the first two books — "The Name of the Wind" and "The Wise Man's Fear" — were New York Times bestsellers. The television adaption is an origin story set a generation before the events of the first novel.[/quote]More via the link.

There's a new show starting on Showtime after Shameless in a little over a week. Does anyone know its name? I wanted to look it up and see if it has any reviews but I can't find its name to start my search

Ryan Murphy Makes History With Largest Cast of Transgender Actors for FX's 'Pose'
Additional cast: Tatiana Maslany, James Van Der Beek, Kate Mara & Evan Peters To Star In Ryan Murphy's 1980s FX Drama Series
Ryan Murphy has recruited Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), James Van Der Beek (What Would Diplo Do?), House of Cards alumna Kate Mara and American Horror Story fixture Evan Peters for his latest FX series, drama Pose.
The established quartet will join five transgender actors — the largest transgender series regular cast ever for a scripted series — MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar, and Angelica Ross, as well as Ryan Jamaal Swain, Tony winner Billy Porter and Dyllon Burnside who also have been previously cast in the project.

Set in the 1980s, Pose looks at the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world.

Peters and Mara play New Jersey couple Stan and Patty, who get sucked into the glamour and intrigue of New York City in the 1980s. Van Der Beek plays Peters's financial kingpin boss Matt. Maslany plays a modern dance teacher who takes a special interest in the talent of Damon (Ryan Jamaal Swain).

First ep of SMILF was good. Enjoyed it. Pairs well with Shameless, too.

Ten Days in the Valley is moving to Saturdays, which effectively makes it the first cancellation of the season!

The series is being pulled from Sundays effective immediately and will take a break before starting its Saturday run on Dec. 16 with Episode 105 and Episode 106 airing back-to-back at 9 PM and 10 PM.

As for Ten Days In the Valley's Sunday 10 PM time slot, starting this Sunday, Oct. 29, and continuing through Nov. 12, ABC air back-to-back original episodes of Shark Tank, currently airing at 9 PM, at both 9 and 10 PM. (American Music Awards airs Nov. 19.)

Good to hear. I'm looking forward to checking it out when it airs in its normal time slot.

Beyond thrilled for Shameless to come back. It wouldn't be right not having it in my top 10 for Ratsky's year end thread.

Nice! The commercial looked pretty interesting so I thought I'd look into it. Did you get a special sneak peak or is there somewhere people can catch the episode early like on Showtime's site?
