These kill tracking things don't work right. Says to kill 25 enemies without reloading. I have counted well over 100 at this point and it says 15. :/
Made a Hunter yesterday on PC and got the Orpheus Rig leg armor after about 13 hours of play. Got them a couple days after release on Xbox too. Considering I have those and the Foetracer helm already I'm now just looking for the Celestial Nighthawk helm to drop as far what I want from Exotic armor which is quite sad.
Edit: To be fair the St0mp--EE5 leg armor is also fun to use so I'm hoping to get those on PC as well.
All you have to do for those is kill 3 enemies, then reload. Do that 25 times and you get the mission done. Be sure it isn't telling you to do it with a specific type of weapon as well.
I think it counts each reload with multiple kills as one. I don't think it matters if you kill two enemies or 15. Which is weird.
Gotta say I really hate the new Nightfall mode of having to rush through everything. I don't know all of the strikes yet so I end up feeling lost if I fall behind my teammates.
Was this a big source of contention when the game launched on consoles? I think putting the timer in Nightfall is a bad decision. Part of what was fun in D1 was playing it safe and strategizing a way through the room with your teammates.

I do love my Hakke History Polish shader.
Been using that on my Titan since the first week. Best gold shader so far.
So I stopped playing Destiny soon after I finished Oryx, and upon looking at Destiny 2 I discover that they've added nothing new to the Character Creator, which immediately disappointed me... So I guess what I'm asking is, is it better than the first? Does it feel like there's more to do than just repeat missions and struggle to get gold engrams?
Character creator is bad, yeah.
The game is somewhat opposite from the first one as far as "struggle to get gold engrams". You can collect all the top loot in a month or so of moderate daily play, nothing like destiny 1's punishing grind.
The new raid and nightfall are good in my opinion, but some people dislike them greatly. There's a lot of content compared to destiny 1 but little reason to repeat most of it for in game rewards.
294. Still need to do Nightfall, Crucible, and the Raid this week. Should be able to sneak into 300 if RNG does me well.

You don't have to be airborne, you can be on any object that is higher or a different level to your kill as well.
Basically as long as you aren't on the same ground surface it should work.
At least that worked for me when doing the mida quest.

My ass is in bed, chillin. I was dragged into doing a normal mode carry with LFG people and two friends doing account recoveries. Easy, but still didn't plan on doing it.
I got nothing to do tomorrow besides grind more tokens. I'll probably do a Prestige run on my Hunter. I just need the boots. I can invite people I know.
People on LFG are a trip though. So many people want to cheese Calus. I tell them how lame that is and that Bungie will likely patch that crap very soon. Better learn how to do things as intended ASAP or else you're screwed. Getting in good habits early pays off in the end.
Didn't even know there was a Calus cheese. Good communication is all you need though.

I know that to get the faction tokens, you obviously have to pledge to them. But what about spending them? If I get 50 Dead Orbit tokens on my Hunter, can my Titan who pledged to New Monarchy turn them in to Dead Orbit for packages?
Or can you only turn in tokens to the faction you pledge to?

The lack of a ladder system or some kind of incentive to actually play as a team makes the "Competitive" title a bit of a joke.
On second thought, I think Bungie is intentionally trying to make PvP as garbage as possible so that they can lose that playerbase and stop having to work on it. Kind of depressing considering the pedigree of the studio.

NM shaders are why I'll be pledging two of my guardians rather than just one. DO will have to miss out this time - hoping I don't miss any good weapons (aside from The Number I don't use any of the IB/faction weapons that I've had drop so far).
I think we're all hoping that S2 will bring different stats, but for now they're identical I believe.
PL dependent, but if you're below 300 base it should give you an item that will boost you.
Most of my group felt the same way and I was rather vocal about it over on gaf. In D1 nightfall and the raid were the two reasons I played the game and now they essentially ruined nf for me by forcing you to rush through things or spend time playing hide and seek with bright lights, neither of which I find fun. Had it been a modifier I would have been all for it but for every single nf? A bad decision imo.
You do realise you stop getting gear (and just get shaders) after 30 turn ins (600 tokens)?
EDIT: Unless you're turning in on multiple characters.
Of course hah. It'd be pretty hard to turn in 400 tokens get nothing but shaders and not realize the gear had stopped. I just mentioned 1000 cause that was how many I farmed (specifically to stockpile large quantities of shaders since the new cheese spot is so damn fast, just farm while watching some netflix). Basically just unfortunate that you can hit the gear cap during the rally and still easily miss out on weapons.
E: yeezus added a 0 there, certainly not crazy enough to farm 10,000 tokens...
For someone who has very limited time to play this week, that token glitch came in clutch. Banged out 600 tokens in an hour or so.
Went from 230 to 270. Decked out in all NM, one of the engrams had an exotic grenade launcher (The Prospector). Not a fan, but it looks dope.

Today was actually really productive. I went from 270 to 282, I can finally start getting mods.
Oh bah missed the fact that I didn't get the DO sidearm either. So missing DO sidearm and SMG. And just finished NM, got all but the sidearm from them too, which kinda sucks because people were excited for it. At least I got all the armor for each, got the NM titan mark on literally my last package, 30th turnin. Actually looks acceptable too. Only FWC left, really hoping to at the very least get the auto rifle.
