...this guy is delusional. The only reason he was even out there for those innings is because the bullpen is already taxed and the Mets considered the game over and a loss already. I mean I get it there is pride, etc involved but the guy has been dreadful for a long time now which isn't hard for anyone to see. This is going to become an Oliver Perez situation where he is in the bullpen but never used. Then again, those Callaway comments about maybe not removing the worst performing starting pitcher from the rotation, wow. Honeymoon period is going to erode quickly...

Paying him $5.6m this year. They'll give him a longer leash. But can see them floating him on waivers to see if anyone would bite on picking up the contract (they won't).
Huh? They are easily one of the best teams in the league.
They got killed by Red Sox 27-3 in 3 games. Betts is the league MVP after that series.
